It’s that time of the month when magazines covers and pictorials come mess up my style karma and allow my ever perfectionist self to fully manifest.
So here’s the perfect example – Keira Knightley. She must have ditched her former agent or stylist or we’re facing a global ice age since she’s not pouting anymore! Since Posh has left the pout arena, and Keira’s not doing hers anymore, we must announce as a 2008 breakthrough! The Pout is Officially Dead! (more pictures after the jump)

I couldn’t have left Kate behind, couldn’t I? In August she featured in the age-less issue of Vogue US, now she’s gracing the all new Interview’s cover.
Signed by Mert and Marcus, bat-like Kate surely delivers something new for this cover. It could be looked at from a fetishist point of view, but in the spirit of show and everything related, I’ll just be happy for an original Moss. What do you say?

Just because the Met Gala is over, there’s no reason to think we won’t be seeing supercharacters around!

Prepping the Christmas list? If you’re one of those who are high ahead, you must already have a pretty solid idea about what to give and who deserves what. I’m still trying to figure out what my best options are and I was discussing that with a friend who suggested a calendar. As a gift.
As simple as it may sounds, this option brought about a fair share of choosing trouble and deciding indecisions. Not all calendars are alike! Duh! Take these two for instance: Pirelli’s 2017 Calendar as photographed by Peter Lindbergh and some Kardashian photographed by Terry Richardson for a calendar.

In a constantly moving and changing (fashion) world, it’s unbelievably soothing to find a reference. A fine yet stable style coordinate that’s always going to be there. Evolving yet always the same. That’s the House of Yves Saint Laurent to me.
I’m always looking forward to the Fashion Week yet by it’s 9th day I’m losing track and by it’s 11th day I’m losing patience too. So many collections, so rapidly catwalking up and down the world’s fashion capitals! Seriously, by the time they reach Paris, I don’t want to hear a word about fashion shows! And then something happens. Along comes the Yves Saint Laurent defilé and my faith in style is restored.

I choose with my heart. Sure, my eyes are a huge part of the process and I spend hours going through each Fashion Week’s photos and videos, yet my heart is the decisive factor in steadying for this or that Collection. I have a long lasting love story with ruffles. And this is one short story I’ve put together, trying to ‘sell’ ruffles to you. Because you’re worth it! -_^ Remember the liberating movement of the 20s and 30s? It was not by accident that the first really short dresses ever worn by women had ruffled hems and were perfect for dancing all night long (The Great Gatsby, anyone?)!
How familiar are you with the overwhelming magic of ruffles? and by that I mean how many ruffled items do you actually own and wear? (should I start, maybe? – you don’t have to ask twice!
