They’re pretty interesting, to say the least! It’s like a multiple personality fashion moment where Laetitia plays provocatively under Emmanuelle Alt’s style supervision.
White and black for the most part, Laetitia the Adored is undoubtedly amazing at what she does, Mario Testino’s photos capturing in depth the cheeky show (literally) put on Vogue’s display by the French beauty. But the simple truth is that this Vogue Paris May 2012 cover story pictorial is not far from the usual Vogue US star profiling. With the only notable exception that Laetitia Casta was (and is) a model previous to being an actress.(click through for more images, click here for the gallery!)

We were used to seeing Lara Stone with her fabulous curves and her flashy blond hair in almost every magazine by now. But how about Lara Stone with dark hair? Lara has embraced the dark (hair) side for a pictorial in Vogue Turkey April 2012.
The pictorial is very eighties and Lara is doing a great job as a brunette. A true professional. Everything is angular, cold and provocative at the same time. Well done for the truly inspired team who worked on this photo session alongside photographer Cuneyt Akeroglu. I guess we’ll have to keep an eye on Vogue Turkey from now on, huh?

Now that’s an interesting pictorial from Vogue US May 2012 – the same issue with a Scarlett Johansson on the cover. This is one of those inside goodies, always welcome surprises offered by Grace Coddington’s stylist eye. Honestly, I feel like a fashion wee one holding the chocolate egg whenever I have a Vogue US in my hands! I’m almost tearing through the wrapping to get to the good stuff!
And, each and every time, the chocolate inside is way better than the pretty wrapping. But that’s a good thing, right? If the big game was the cover, then who’d look inside the magazine? But enough with the talk, here’s what I found inside Vogue this month: Natalia Vodianova and Michael Fassbender in a session with Craig McDean (styled by Grace Coddington, as I already mentioned) with hair by Julien D’Ys and Make up by Stephane Marais. (more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!)

This is one beautiful Vogue cover! It’s balanced, it’s mature, I love it! Laetitia Casta’s Vogue Paris May 2012 cover is definitely entering the Vogue Paris top covers (at least since Carine Roitfeld’s departure).
Actually, what made me appreciate this cover the most was that it’s not trying to prove anything. It just is. And that’s self sufficient. At least for now. We all know and like Laetitia Casta. We came to find out that white is definitely the new black this summer and simple is undoubtedly more in my book. I can’t wait for the inside goodies to pop up, I cross my fingers for the pictorial (signed by Mario Testino) to be at least as good as the cover teaser. Enough about me liking this already, how about you? How do you feel about this cover?

I wonder what’s scarier – having Scarlett Johansson on a Vogue cover, looking like torn from another era or reading the actual cover line “Scarlett Johansson, back with a vengeance”. Was there something Scarlett had to revenge? I’m lost… (not in translation, though)
As you may suspect already, Scarlett Johansson is doing Vogue May 2012 because of her Avengers movie being released in theaters this month. A superheroes – packed movie and a new man: that seems to be enough for a Vogue feature. If you’re an actress. Or if Anna W loves you. However, if you hit the jump, you may be surprised how blunt the Mario Testino pictorial feels like. (ready? Here we go)

Charlize Theron on the cover of Vogue UK? Now that’s interesting! Vogue UK’s May 2012 issue with effortlessly perfect Charlize as photographed by Patrick Demarchelier is an interesting cover story sequel to Sienna Miller’s pregnancy & more April 2012 issue.
And not just because both ladies cite acting as their main profession and modeling as a collateral, but also because they’re new in motherhoodland. Sienna is still pregnant while Charlize made quite a buzz when the news about her adopting a baby boy got out a couple of weeks ago. Oh, yes, and they also mention movies in their interviews (Sienna is playing Tippi Hedren in a TV biopic) and Charlize is the villain in Snow White and the Huntsman (with Twilight’s Kristen Stewart, set for summer release). (hit the jump for more)

I’ve had this story on my desktop for days now and I keep looking at it because I think it’s flawless! Jennifer Lawrence is the new media darling. Her acting in the first Hunger Games installment was impeccable, although a teen – ish plot, Jennifer Lawrence, immensely gifted, acting – wise made it all interesting for grown ups too (do share your views about the Hunger Games story, please).
I’m actually waiting for Anna to give her her fashionably blessings and put Katniss on a Vogue cover soon enough. But until that day, let’s check out Jennifer Lawrence’s braid updo for the premiere of Hunger Games. Isn’t it pretty? And it’s actually quite simple to do!
The “light” version (light on styling products, that is; for the “full” styling products version, you can read here): you need medium to long hair to pull this look – braid the headband / s of your choice into a single, low braid. (hit the jump to see the rest of the braid DIY)

Now that’s interesting! Not that I would expect less from Vogue Italia! Franca Sozzani is stepping into another controversy, eyes wide shut. Oops! I meant with and without mask. Or at least that seems to be the theme of Vogue Italy’s April 2012 issue.
A double cover with various models, both men and women, photographed by Steven Meisel. Yes. Again. (he’s responsible for last month’s Haute Mess too). It’s an interesting “spot the differences” game and I’m really curious of what this mysterious “Night of Nights” themed pictorial really stands for. At least it’s not boring, not cliché and certainly not safe. (is it?)
