Another month, another Vogue cover. Rihanna is unstoppable. Not only the music / entertaining industry is bowing down to her, fashion is also paying its tribute with fashion magazines features.

This year’s Vogue’s shape issue, as covered by Rihanna, was a beauty to look at and to get closer to, browsing through its pages. November 2011 brings a Vogue UK cover girl feature for wig – loving Rihanna. She’s looking great on the cover and I simply love the blue sky background you’ll see more of in the inside pictorial – it has that retro vibe and modern bold attitude we seek in our leading ladies. (although the images were not officially confirmed by Vogue UK, the fashion people already discuss her Vogue pictorial)

You better take note, I’m telling you, the bob is all around! By the time Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe hits the big screen, hair stylists everywhere better be on top of their bob skills! What? Raising to be a true star, Franca Sozzani has the attention of the fashion world all to herself. Lacking a true editor star and fighting the one and only Anna Wintour whose Vogue US, although entirely professional and respectable, is more on the celeb side than on the model side, the fashion people turn to Franca’s Vogue Italy for fashion hope.

And she delivers! She so delivers! Here’s Vogue Italia’s October 2011 cover with Karen Elson, photographed by Steven Meisel. It’s a perfectly austere, autumnal cover with the flawless Karen (who looks so beautiful, I can’t take my eyes off of her! Can you?). As for the content, there’s not much out yet. However, it would appear (check out the scan after the jump) that the issue revolves around age and beauty. In a new, unexpected perspective! Can’t wait for more goodies!

Last we talked about Nicole Scherzinger, she was under a big fashion disaster question mark. In more recent news, Nicole was photographed for Vogue. The purpose of Nicole doing a Vogue feature is beyond my understanding. Not discussing that right now – what I wanted you to see is the backstage of a fashion photography session.

Check out her glamorous shoes from one picture (the one with the white and red dress – she’s actually wearing her own footwear, see the “before” image with her arriving at the photo session site) and the huge paper clips used to fit the white dress on Nicole’s body! Paper clips! wow! That’s fashion, baby! That’s fashion! (I wonder if it’s the same house Rihanna’s shape issue was photographed in…)

Rumors circulate saying that Anna Wintour would like to have Kate Middleton, now Duchess of Cambridge, on the cover of Vogue US. The feared editor in chief is in awe of Kate’s style and behavior, trying to get Mario Testino to photograph her for a fashion (and more) story (Mario Testino also photographed the Royal couple’s engagement).

There’s no telling if she will do as she pleases since the Duchess is carefully guarded by the Palace and so far already refused a Vogue story from UK’s Alexandra Schulman (who also tried to get Testino on the job, right around the Royal Wedding).

What say you? Will Anna get Kate on Vogue’s cover? (and will it end up looking so bland like the NYmag is trying to show us it will?)

I thought it would be a nice hump day start, with a Clive Owen Vogue cover! Bonus: there’s also a model on the cover: Toni Garn. Vogue Spain October 2011 is really pretty to look at.

Let’s open it and see the goodies inside (right after the jump! click here for the gallery). Aside from the obvious strange pairing of a 46yo with a 19yo girl (who could just as well be his daughter, given that the actor has, in real life, two teenage daughters), the pictorial is meant to highlight the glitz of being a Secret Agent (lol) and the advantages of the job – the Femme Fatale (lol again) who comes with the territory.

And again Vogue Japan is (way) ahead of the time: their November 2011 issue has surfaced. Well, at least its cover did!

Lara Stone is slowly getting her cover space back and although I truly believed it was Abbey Lee Kershaw there for a second (doesn’t she look like Abbey? I’m so used to seeing Lara with bleached eyebrows, once she’s a naturel, I don’t recognize her anymore), the fashion connaisseurs say it’s Lara Stone and that she’s wearing Givenchy. (too much yellow for my taste, but it does make the magazine more noticeable, doesn’t it?)

Rumors fly around the internet saying that Vogue Paris’ October 2011 issue, the one with Sasha Pivovarova on the cover hides some pretty interesting things in its pages! Notably the very main pictorial, with Sasha, which is definitely interesting, to say the least, can also include images of Anja Rubik (or parts of Anja photoshopped in as Sasha).

As far as Sasha’s pictures, I find myself pretty amazed as even the great Carine Roitfeld declared she was sorry for all we had to endure with her cigarette filled editorials and that she was to never use smoking for fashion pictorials again. In the mean time, Emmanuelle Alt fully embraces the cigarettes and the braless pictures.

Moving on. From one dilemma to another: below you’ll notice a gorgeous image said to be Sasha. However, the fashion people feel alerted by the striking similarity with Anja Rubik’s amazing legs (and more, as you can see here too). W’s Demi Moore all over again? What do you think? Oh, this is beautiful (or it could’ve been so beautiful, depends on how high you set your Vogue Paris expectations… Post Roitfeld, I mean)! Sasha Pivovarova’s Vogue Paris October 2011 cover is gorgeous. Because it involves Sasha. And Mert and Marcus.

I admit I was a bit confused about the blonde-ish spirit of VP, pretty much in Vogue US’ spirit this month and I’m still hoping the inside pictorial will prove there’s still hope for Emmanuelle Alt’s Vogue. Is there? How do you like this October cover? Is it just as cliché as I felt it? (photo via)
