2011 Emmy Awards Hairstyle: The Bob

If there’s one hairstyle you can’t do without on the Red Carpet, it’s the Bob. The 2011 Emmy Awards showcased the versatile hairdo in so many ways on so many beautiful ladies, I decided it was grand time I give this bob cut full credits.

Although I’m not completely eliminating the possibility that all these fine ladies had visited the same hairdresser/s, one cannot help but think about a sweet bob chop. It looks so feminine and it frames the face so nicely in all lengths and variations. Take for instance Lena Headey, one of my favorite actresses out there, she reminds me of Wynona, and that’s only her hair’s doing. Olivia Munn is a stunner with that tan, green Carolina Herrera dress and lovely, lovely bob. (click through to see the rest!)

Gretchen Mol has a medium haircut and she was rolled back into a bob. How sweet is that? As for Kerry Washington, she perfectly balances the very elegant red Zuhair Murad dress with a casual, yet flawless side swept bob causing the look to fall into perfection! Aubrey Plaza was so retro glam with her wave-ish bob and white dress! I can only guess that’s the same effect Cobbie Smulders was trying to obtain? Only her neon teal dress didn’t help her much. Last but not least, Christina Mad Men Hendricks in a heavy cleavage dress signed by Johanna Johnson. So tell me, was it just my imagination, or the bob was the hairstyle of this Emmys evening? Bob? Most are not “bobs”; they’re hair. You have an unrealistic obsession with what might be a “bob”.

Better you focus on what’s up with this trend to huge, floppy, floor-dragging gowns.

Not pretty.

I am not one to hop on bandwagons of any type. I wear my hair in ways that suits me and that I find fun! : )
