Remember we talked about Doutzen Kroes and her first magazine cover since having her baby? Elle’s styling was a bit over the top (although justified by a revival of the 80s glam). I think I brought this Vogue Germany October 2011 cover upon myself when I said I wasn’t too pleased with Elle’s aesthetics!

Although I’m certain the styling falls in the right line with the latest trends and styles, Doutzen Kroes, as photographed by Camilla Akrans, is hair – thin close to awful. The much to obvious bangs clip on, the terribly electric combination of that particular blue and yellow, everything points in just one direction: you either love or completely loathe Doutzen’s Vogue cover! There’s hardly place for in-betweens! So where do you stand? On the good or the bad side of this cover? (photo via)

At first I thought it was a joke. But then I saw it everywhere. I waited for several hours, a reasonable time to see if this is the actual cover. So here it is. Officially: Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe for Vogue October 2011!

Photographed by Annie Leibovitz, the inside pictorial (click here for the gallery) is way more impressive than the actual cover. Which comes across as weird. Unnatural, very un-Marilyn. Why is this happening? Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you already know that Michelle Williams is playing Marilyn in an upcoming movie. While I’m certain that the end result is going to be breathless, I have to ask if Michelle was really the best choice to play Marilyn Monroe. Was she? (there’s also an interview, if you’re curious)

How gorgeous is Adele on the cover of Vogue UK, the October 2011 issue? She’s such a talented young lady, with such a charming personality and a warm, natural way of being herself! I know it’s a celebrity cover, however,I doubt anyone can say something negative about Adele, this Vogue sounds like a bestseller to me!

Besides, the world loves Adele (and Solve Sundsbo’s amazingly warm photography is spot on), Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black album has become the best selling album in the last 10 years or so, maybe it’s time we came clean about this and admit that British music is really huge. Besides, they needed someone to take over the crown from Amy! Thank you, Vogue, for the wonderful Adele feature!

This is good! This is major! Florence Welch on a Vogue cover! Vogue Japan October 2011 (October magazines! Can. Not. Believe. It!) has commissioned Karl Lagerfeld for a very special Florence Welch Music Meets Style cover!

It’s great! He did a mini – Baptiste with Florence, and I’m willing to forgive him. Because she’s so flawless, this can’t harm her! Way to go, Florence! Flawless and fierce, truly gifted and untamed – ly fashionable! Isn’t she something? Too bad Karl had to turn her into a mini – me!

After seeing the Vogue pictures of Kate Moss wedding to Jamie Hince as taken by the one and only Mario Testino, do you even doubt for a second that her wedding will set the new wedding theme trend?

I don’t. Not for a blink! And did you actually know that her “theme” which is, biensur, not a theme, is Rock and Roll Great Gatsby? The other Kate’s wedding (yes, I’m talking about that Royal Wedding) is so yesterday right now? Ummm… so close your eyes and dream “Rock and Roll Great Gatsby!” like Kate said!

This is too good to pass out on! Remember we talked about that Louis Vuitton skirt that’s allover the place this season? The styling we’re used to see is the same one we saw on Katie Holmes. And Heidi.

How about this styling below? Pretty challenging, huh? It’s Russia’s Prima Ballerina Diana Vishneva as featured in the September 2011 issue of Vogue Russia and as photographed by Patrick Demarchelier. I’m speechless. Fashion as art. Yes! Totally! If you want to be high as a fashion fly this fall season, you’ll have to try and duplicate, if not entirely acquire the following cover look. You’ll recognize elements from Louis Vuitton as you’ve probably seen them before on Katie Holmes? And I’m sure many more will try and spread this look throughout the season.

Heidi Klum has a September 2011 cover: Harper’s Bazaar. Russia, but HB nevertheless! And most of all, September! The Fashion Issue! Now about the cover – honestly – if it were in your power, wouldn’t you fire the stylist who worked on this cover and chose this photo, as it is now, to be the official cover? Oh! This could have been so beautiful on so many levels! So, so beautiful! Instead we’re having three supermodels, amazingly gorgeous women with a terribly expressionless face, trying to pose seductively for Vogue Espana September 2011.

Claudia Schiffer, Eva Herzigova, Helena Christensen photographed by Tom Munro wearing starry Dolce & Gabbana outfits can also be seen individually for the Spanish edition of Vogue September 2011. Maybe the cover below, with all three of them is the newsstand cover while individual covers with Claudia, Eva or Helena are the covers reserved for the subscribers?
