I will keep it short and wishful this time, it’s a busy weekend! I thought about a nice little tune to be the soundtrack of this lovely, eventful weekend. The Canadian Jill Barber is one of my playlist fixtures as I like her voice and her warm musicality (I think I once listened to her ‘Oh My My’ on and on for an entire day. I’m that kind of music-girl).
Also – I have a thing for folk, indie, jazz music and for retro-ish melodies. And Jill Barber sure knows all that and more! All My Dreams is just one of them pretty songs. It’s light and enchanting, perfect for this weekend!

Remember when we used to speculate about Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively being together? Well, that was a loooooong time ago! We even had a good look at Blake’s wedding ring since and – although it’s so big as to outshine the moon, I’m certain that it was chosen this big so it won’t come off in the sink when doing the dishes.
Because – you see, Blake really loves spending time in the kitchen! More: she loves baking! The latest celebrity reports put her in an Elle Décor feature about La Cornue, oven makers extraordinaire.

Lily Aldridge Is Back: Elle Brazil April 2013

One of the most charming Angels, Lily Aldridge is gaining back her fashion territory – because, as you well know, for the vast majority of the fash-savy population, if you were someone in fashion but you decided to have a child, you’re so… yesterday! And then, when you’re back, you’re just one of those mom-haired models. Pfff!
But I started talking about comebacks and since I don’t really believe Gemma is going to walk down the Fashion Week runway ever again, I’d better talk about a real come-back. And I’m happy to see Lily Aldridge back to it. She just seems to be such a nice girl, down to earth and sweet, even beyond her Elle cover pout!
Mrs Carter Runs The World: Beyonce Does Vogue UK May 2013

With her new world tour kicking off in April, Beyonce is unstoppable and her reign over the world knows no boundaries. Here she goes, in a snapshot of what will be Vogue UK May 2013 issue cover.
She’s not looking like the reigning Queen like she was for her Vogue US feature, she’s a fresh act, with a cropped top in lovely shades of blue. I wonder – because I highly doubt this cover wasn’t intentionally preceding her international world tour – did Beyonce got to pick her cover colors herself? All blue, Blue Ivy… You got to admit, it’s really a strong coincidence (I’m curious to see the actual pictorial, this cover snapshot isn’t all too revealing).
But I do love Bey and I’m partial to liking this cover as well, regardless of it not featuring a model (their last two model covers weren’t among my favorites). And yeah, I’m OK with Mrs Carter running the world! (what? would you rather have had Gaga doing it?)

We’ve been waiting for something like this forever. We’ve been hoping and praying that it happens. And still.. Months have gone by, years and still no sign of Gemma Ward back in the lucrative fashion world.
Amid vivid speculations that she’ll be catwalking in MBFA (Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia) which is scheduled to launch April8, casual pictures of casual Gemma have surfaced. And if they’re recent, then there’s absolutely no way she’ll make it to the runway as her old-fashion-days-self.

Every Skinny Jeans Addict Should Try The New Skinny Skinny Jeans!

Although I was waiting for the skinny jeans mania to be over seasons ago, it didn’t. Although I was hoping for the skinny jeans craze to naturally fade two years ago, it didn’t. It just went upwards in being even more popular, even more sold&bought. Even more hipster-ized! Women and men of all ages and physical-shapes wear skinny jeans regardless of their body frames not being recommended for skinny jeans.
But you can’t really put people in a certain ‘frame’. You can’t have people, as the Skinny Skinny ad from the American Eagle Outfitters said, ‘put in a box’. Because you can have them put in a can! In a skinny jeans spray can! Yep, you’re reading that right: jeans in a can: all you have to do is spray them on and you’re good to go. Not safe to look at, but hey! whatever suits your skinny fancy!

It’s not everyday that we get to see a true homage for a true geek in a true fashion magazine! Also, it’s not everyday that we get to see Birkenstock tongs or Hawaianas flip-flops in an haute fashion spread!
Erin Wasson’s pictorial in Vogue Paris April 2013 is my favorite (ever) pictorial with Erin and also one of the most beautiful stories from this Peru tribute issue. Les Lignes de Nazca – The lines from Nazca represent just what the titles is suggesting – a way of blending fashion and Nazca history in a most harmonious, linear, tasteful manner!

Will You Buy H&M Couture New Collection?

H&M is usually my go-to destination for what I call industrial shopping. The usual socks&basics wardrobe refill, especially for the kids. I have yet to reassign my glam shopping trips and take a visit to the nearest H&M store into consideration, their latest Couture collection had me thinking…
Of course I still can’t get the image of Helen Hunt’s navy Oscars gown out of my head whenever I say ‘H&M Couture’ but from afar, the lookbook of their newest eco-conscious couture collection is flawless and really trendy. At least the bejeweled powder pink Prada lookalike dress is something I’d definitely try! Wouldn’t you?
