2013 Oscars Fashion: Helen Hunt H&M Blue Dress

Talking about all the glamour and the glitz of the 2013 Oscars Red Carpet has me wondering how did Helen Hunt chose her dress tonight! Because if you haven’t already, you’re just about to find out something really surprising and unusual for Red Carpet parades!

Because although on a first glance, Helen was dressed in a striking replica of the red Valentino dress worn by Jennifer Aniston tonight, only in blue and in cheaper fabric, the truth is out there! Helen Hunt, my dahlings, was wearing a H&M blue dress on the Oscars Red Carpet!

I realize it could be a fashion as stars have been seen wearing pieces from the H&M eco – conscious collection before (Amanda Seyfried is one of them) but beyond the gown’s creased fabric, there wasn’t much to give away its affordability. The cut looked perfect for evening – wear, even Couture – ish, if we’re to take into consideration its resemblance with the above – mentioned Valentino gown.

Helen herself accessorized it heavily with jewelry worth a whopping $700,000. But morally – do you think it’s a message? Other than a shameless promotional Red Carpet moment? Or do you think Helen opted for this ‘designer’ by handpicking the dress from a pile of maison – dresses? (images Getty)

What kind of statement is she trying to do ?
– you can wear your bed sheets as a gown.
– you can wear a cheap wrinkled dress and look good.
She failed in both.
I love her, but this was a major fail.
NOOOO! HM NEVER !
Besides that, any kind of “statement” is worthless when you charge for what you dress.

In my last sentence I meant : for what you WEAR.

And accessorize it all with jewels 100x (or whatever) the price of the dress or something like that.

I hate all these huge veneers by the way. Not especially her….in general…..

I can only imagine what that dress would’ve looked like on a more imperfect silhouette! Luckily Helen has such a huge personal charm, one could actually make a (huge) effort and go beyond the gown!

Look, I am not THAT crazy afterall :

“We had an agreement, and both parties were satisfied, but as a business matter we will not give details,” says H&M designer Ann-Sofie Johansson. From the NYTimes , [On The Runway]

ana, of course not!!
It’s well known these actors get paid for what they wear.

I know! But people still love her and H&M was mentioned. Loud and clear enough for the PR! Especially you know that’s the whole point. People talk about it…we do… and so H&M is mentioned again. By us ;)

I want to get paid to wear this crap this too by the way!!
