To Bey Or Not To Bey In Vogue US March 2013?
January 31st, 2013 by kpriss
Since it’s still labeled with ‘rumors’, I can’t say for sure that this image, although highly sophisticated even for Bey’s standards, is certainly from next Vogue’s pages! But it surely keeps making the rounds of the interwebs for some hours already!
Countless speculations place Beyonce on the March 2013 cover of Vogue US while this image below could be part of the cover pictorial, as signed by Annie Leibovitz. Again, all is but water under the rumors bridge!(this is a leaked image of what is believed to be an official Vogue pictorial – hence the poor ‘unofficial’ quality)

Rachel Zoe Styled Miley Cyrus For Cosmopolitan March 2013
January 31st, 2013 by kpriss
Who reads Cosmo nowadays? Because I was sincerely hesitant about writing this piece! Cosmopolitan’s Miley Cyrus covers and associated pictorial could really of no interest whatsoever. Except there was something about Miley’s Cosmo I liked.
That’s even harder to say / believe than saying / believing that I would read Cosmo! But I really liked how Rachel Zoe styled her famous client for Matthias Vriens-McGrath’s Cosmo photo session. Something real. Something edgy but real.
BlackBerry Releases Z10, Names Alicia Keys Global Creative Director!
January 31st, 2013 by kpriss
Talking about collaborations: you know what I read this morning and found it to be particularly interesting? That even though a couple of days ago, BlackBerry was declared one of the least interesting brands today, they’re launching a ‘make it or break it’ type of politics. In mobile phone language, ‘least interesting’ is ‘Nokia’ camp. Nobody wants to be in that camp. Everybody wants to be in the Apple – Samsung camp! That’s English for ‘nobody’s buying BlackBerry mobile phones anymore’!
So that perspective must’ve meant the world to BlackBerry because when they launched their brand new Z10 model, they also announced their brand new – very unexpected – Global Creative Director: Alicia Keys!
Alexander Wang Funny Spring 2013 Commercial, Bags Deal With Samsung
January 31st, 2013 by kpriss
Go around it all you want, fact is that designer collaborations happen. And some of them are really kind of interesting and appealing. This piece started out with an advertorial pretext, the new Alexander Wang Spring 2013 commercial being released and acclaimed, so I will talk about that first and then get to the actual interest for the collaboration.
And that’s partly because of the commercial’s cast: who, among us, would mind walking into a store and bumping into Alessandra Ambrosio? Or Simon Doonan? Or A$AP Rocky? Or Shannan Click? I wouldn’t. I wouldn’t pay too much attention to the actual store with all these people buzzing around me.
But then again, when the store’s personnel are Bon Qui Qui (Anjelah Johnson) and Natasha Lyonne, all that’s left is to sit back, relax and enjoy it. All. And I hope you will to, just press play!

Random Fashion Fact Of The Day: UGGs No Goods
January 30th, 2013 by kpriss
You ever felt like you wanted something (we’re talking fashion, don’t let that out of your sight) everybody was wearing? But somehow knew it wasn’t for you? What? I’m losing you? Well, it’s like that: I always kind of wanted my own pair of UGG boots. Because they otherworldly comfy and keep one’s feet reaaaally warm. And they have this off beat look like they’re the anti – fashion fashionable item out there. Oh, and also – you just slip right in, no fuss, no zippers, no laces, no nada! Just slip right in and you’re good to go!
There’s no telling who – of the famous ones – wore it first, but the truth is that UGGs, much like jeggings and Hunter rubber boots became this huge fashion epidemic that kept on spreading out of control. And you know what you can do when it just outgrows you? This:
Cindy Crawford Modeling Class: Harper’s Bazaar Brazil February 2013
January 30th, 2013 by kpriss
I was just reading a piece of news – which could also double as a promotional material – in which Naomi Campbell claims it’s time models got their magazines covers back. Why would that be considered advertorial? Well, because Naomi (with Karolina Kurkova, Coco Rocha and Nigel Barker) are hosting ‘The Face’ – a show meant to launch new and fresh models.
But the truth is still out there: models rarely get fashion magazine covers nowadays. Could it be because movie stars sell more than models, but also because not many models today can meet the standards set by the supermodels, back in the glory days! Take a look at Cindy Crawford doing her thing for Harper’s Bazaar Brazil, February 2013!
Nina Ricci’s Nina L’Eau Perfume Campaign With Frida Gustavsson
January 30th, 2013 by kpriss
After such a serious dose of casual black, it’s pink time! I just saw the most beautiful ad campaign today: Nina Ricci’s L’Eau Nina Ricci Mon Secret Perfume Ad Campaign.
I can’t even make up my mind about what I like the most: the ethereal, fantastic set, the perfume bottle in itself, Frida Gustavsson’s makeup, hairdo or dress! Because, as far as I’m concerned, these advertorial photos here, shot by Eugenio Recuenco are by far flawless and so perfectly girly, I have no objection whatsoever to them!
Rainy Day Office Casual Outfit Inspired By Victoria Beckham
January 30th, 2013 by kpriss
I was looking at Victoria Beckham the other day – when we talked about her Elle cover, I got to see more of her casual – ness around town. And given that London is usually a very sunny city (yeah, right!), I got to see one of Victoria’s rainy days outfits. And it was far from being dull or rubbery. Au contraire, it was very casual but smart, very comfy and relaxed but also deeply stylish and simple.
And given that it’s been a while since our last Outfit of the Day talk (and also because I really liked Victoria’s outfit and is very much on my style alley), I thought it would be a good moment to get some wardrobe inspiration.
Actually, you know what Victoria was doing all dressed up like that? She was working! And picking up her boy Cruz, grabbing a byte to eat too. If Victoria Beckham can dress like that for all kinds of errands around town, I see no reason why we couldn’t. What do you think about this really simple rainy day office / casual outfit? (as always, you can visit StyleFrizz polyvore sets here for more detailed information about the items included in this outfit proposition)
