What You Need For The Ultimate Girly Party!
July 6th, 2013 by kpriss
You know me and my gadgety ways: once I get started, it’s hard to contain my curiosity for all things cute and lovely, girly and useful, smart and witty, helping us make every day prettier, more practical.
So here’s another one of those stylish gadgets I came across and thought a lovely Saturday would be a perfect day to share: the ‘Dapper Bottle Stopper’. It’s a bow, dahlings! A bow to cap your unfinished bottle and preserve all its goodies within until you find the perfect occasion to pop it open again!
Love Your Bag? Save Your Bag!
July 6th, 2013 by kpriss
How do you keep your dear bags while driving around and doing errands? I happen to like to keep my bag close by, just in case I need anything from it – you never know, if you think of all that’s packed in?!
But even when it’s not scorching hot like it is right now, I still like to keep my car windows open – I admit, it bugs me because I like to play my music loud, but A/C bothers me more, so I choose to keep my windows open. But then comes the trick: if I like to keep my windows open, how do I secure my belongings? With the safety belt, duh! I put the safety belt on my bag! Because I care. Because I want to keep it. Save it from harm.
Scandal’s Kerry Washington In Vanity Fair August 2013
July 5th, 2013 by kpriss
Kerry Washington is, undoubtedly a gorgeous woman. Her gentle eyes compliment her beautiful physical features and her acting success only comes to confirm her many qualities (Kerry is now the star of the new successful TV series ‘Scandal’).
However, seeing her pictorial from Vanity Fair’s August 2013 issue, although signed by the great Norman Jean Roy, got me thinking at how ridiculously gauche the media still is with black women. It’s like they’re walking on thin ice and trying to put the best foot forward and looking for the most delicate step. But lo and behold, the ice still cracks. Why? Because we’re too afraid. Because in our obsession for equality we’re juggling too much and we’re losing the naturalness, the coolness and the easiness.
Kerry Washington’s Vanity Fair had enormous potential. Instead we got a distorted perspective on Kerry’s body because of the pool water in the cover picture and…(hit the jump to read the rest!)
Minimal Wardrobe: Spring Summer 15 Looks With 13 Pieces
July 1st, 2013 by kpriss
I may keep a low profile when it comes to my own personal style but I tried to pick as many evocative topics as to tell you about the minimalistic approach I preach and practice when it comes to my wardrobe or the entire Frizz household fashion. Less is more. You doubt it? I walked both ends of the wardrobe spectrum and came to the conclusion that my fashion and my personal style are way more creative and more inspired when I’m only juggling with basics.
Long story short: this is how you build a minimal wardrobe with just 13 pieces that you can switch back and forth in 15 looks. I’m certain that more is possible and that you have your own minimal mix so if you care to share, I’m all eyes! (I came across this on the vast and inspiring alleys of Pinterest and it was originally created by shopbop dot com)

Kate Upton From Vogue Brazil To Redemption Choppers Campaign
June 30th, 2013 by kpriss
Kate Upton continues her ascension on the fashion’s ladder one Vogue cover at the time. After Anna Wintour named her the world’s hottest supermodel, Vogue Brazil put some nice clothes on the 21-year-old American model and announced the end of the skinny dictatorship.
Whether that will prove to be real, only time will tell. Crystal Renn tried to pull a similar stunt on the fashion industry a couple of years ago and instead of changing the standard fashion body, she changed her own body by dieting/exercising and losing weight again. Will Kate Upton succumb to the same pressure and diminish her voluptuous frame?
Chanel’s Women Only Pre Collection Film, As Weird As You’d Expect
June 29th, 2013 by kpriss
… from a movie signed by Karl Lagerfeld. His mental projections become more and more elaborate, less and less logical. A “women only” psychedelic movie which turns and twists around the corners and puts so many gorgeous models in the same room, chit-chatting carelessly and playing with mini Kaiser dolls?
Seriously? and I thought the last short film he signed for Chanel (with Keira, nonetheless) was silly! But Lagerfeld always surpasses my wildest dreams and expectations, especially when it comes to meaningless cinematography. It just all seems to take place in Lagerfeld’s bubble-world! Hit the jump and see for yourself! This time he has a short cameo! (I was expecting Choupette to pop up her pretty furry head, but sadly, it didn’t happen!)
Wimbledon Nails: Serena Williams White And Orange Funky Nails
June 29th, 2013 by kpriss
We may not watch a lot of sports in the Frizz household but tennis always sneaks in. We have a lot of respect and admiration for this sport and I think I made it clear over the years with stories about this and that tennis player.
Wimbledon is happening as we speak (until July 7) and although some of the major players have already been eliminated (both Nadal and Federer), we can still admire some of our favorite ladies being perfectly passionate and fashionable at the same time! Because Wimbledon still thinks that white is the color of tennis and so the players can’t wear other colors… Except we ladies know that it’s all a game of accessories. And we all love to accessorize and match our nails to the rest of our outfits, our state of spirit, the weather or a movie we’re going to see.
Serena Williams matched her white tennis outfit with a mix of white and orange nail art designs. Visually striking dots and leopard spots, drips and flashes or even kisses can be seen on each of Serena’s nails. I love her idea and the look she sported for the Wimbledon competition! Hopefully it will add to her good hand!
