Eva Mendes Undresses for Calvin Klein CK Underwear Ad Campaign
March 17th, 2008 by kpriss
I guess it’s not all gone for Eva. She’s still the face for the Calvin Klein fragrance and now she’s going to undress for CK, replacing Natalia Vodianova who has been the body for CK Underwear until this year.
Eva’s now contracted for Calvin Klein Underwear and set to appear in ads from this very fall. In the same time, a line for curved women (called “Seductive”) will see the light of stores. So ladies, from this fall, pay real good attention when you drive, huge billboards are going to mess up the men behind the drivers!

SATC – Jennifer Hudson Plays Carrie Bradshaw Assistant and Borrows Bags
March 17th, 2008 by kpriss
Well, how’s that for publicity – let’s say you’re the proud owner of a site. And let’s say that site lends designer bags. How would you promote your business?
Besides the average advertising campaigns to make people react in your tiny little pond, have you ever thought about contracting a big fish from the ocean? Let’s say.. New Line Cinema?
Well, you’d better think of that from now on! Because the breakthrough has already been made! BagBorroworSteal.com is a site from where Kate Jennifer Hudson who plays the Assistant of Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw character gets her purses.
And it doesn’t end there! The New Line Cinema agreed on a Sex & The City Collection with the site in question!
How about it? Next you know, the bags from the Satc Collection will be 4 and all get to be “designed” by Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon. Predictable?

Fashion with Conscience – Urth Ethical Gold Jewelry Collection
March 17th, 2008 by kpriss
Urth acts under the saying “redefining luxury” and helps fashion’s conscience develop.
Given that mining is a harsh process for those involved as for the environment, it seems someone finally put some sense together and decided it was about time to do something for the environment, and not against it. Through the Urth Solutions program, profits from the gold products sales are reinvested in the community where the gold was mined. It sounds so good, I almost don’t believe it! I’m not a big fan of jewelry myself. I got my wedding ring and it’s quite enough for me. From time to time, I wear fantasy jewelry, but I’m very fond of the idea that wearing something can actually do some good in the world!
Does this campaign sound real to you?

Celebrities Extreme Diet
March 16th, 2008 by kpriss
Oh how celebrities sparkle perfectly fit in the spotlight! Makes you think it’s all so effortless and easy to get.
Have you ever dieted? I know I did (once or twice). And many women that I know followed a strict diet and a severe program just to keep in shape. To be fit. Fit for what? the question came to my mind. Why do you diet (if you do)?
I dieted because my body reacted bad to certain medicine so I had to revert the effect. It took me a year. Since then I’m careful with what I eat, but I don’t make obsessions. Seems that some of the stars are making their life story from being slim (sometimes unhealthy skinny) and staying in shape. It may look good from the outside, but from the inside sounds like nightmare to me.
Life After People in Pictures and Videos
March 15th, 2008 by kpriss
We aren’t immortals. And down there inside, we all admit it. And our everexpanding ego pushes us to makings that will outlast us.
Well, what if the world will, indeed, outlast us? What then? Our most prized achievements will go down in glory or they’ll last just to honor us ages after we’ll all be gone?
We’re not all fair with us or the environment, no one really remembers what love thy neighbor as thyself means, nor we look with understanding at the Vatican trying to change the 10 Commandments with referrals to the environment or experimenting on humans.
Lindsay Lohan Leggings Line
March 15th, 2008 by kpriss
After letting the Marilyn Monroe Last Sitting scandal settle down, Lindsay Lohan found another way to claim the spotlight.
“It will be a while before it comes out, but I’m going to do it. Some of them will have prints and some will have patterns. I love leggings.”
Kate Moss Collection for Topshop Spring Summer 2008
March 14th, 2008 by kpriss
For a five piece preview, the fifth Kate Moss Collection for Topshop puts your imagination at hard work!
It’s called “From Ibiza, to Miami, India and beyond” and my focus is on “beyond” right now because Ibiza, Miami and India are surpassed by the pieces shown on the site. Would it be that “beyond” stands for beyond any fashion sense? Beyond any indulgence we might (still) have on Kate Moss the uber trendy designer? I’m working all my imagination in this rhetorical speech and can’t see the light at the end of the Kate Moss Topshop tunnel! Do you?
The long awaited launch is March 18th and you’ll all get your hands on the “feather-weight chiffon dresses and blouses (…) Gypsy-inspired broderie anglaise and scarf prints”. Do you feel the electricity in the air?

Temperley Rides the Babyboom Wave
March 14th, 2008 by kpriss
One of my favorites designers, Alice Temperley ( I’m a convinced dress-girl!) has just announced her pregnancy.
You already know that baby bump is the hottest trend around, so I warmly wish the fresh mother-to-be the best of luck and a very inspiring pregnancy! It seems she wanted this for a long time now “I’ve been begging Lars for years so I am delighted.”.
Since when one has to get approval for a pregnancy, it completely eludes me! However, she’s reportedly just passed her first trimester and feeling active (still! Until her due term in September she has all the time in the world to get used to it and feel overwhelmed by her pregnancy).
After watching Stella McCartney’s pregnancy in plain season, I’m not surprised with anything! Well done, girls!
You show them how babies are done in hard work and dedication!
Did you have an active pregnancy?
