Rafael Nadal For Armani Underwear

Christmas has come early, ladies! Armani just announced that Rafael Nadal will be the next spokesperson (better said spokesbody) for the house’s underwear 2011 ad campaigns (Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans).

The tennis number one will become the underwear number one, replacing the now famous Beckham 2009 billboards (or Ronaldo’s ads from 2010). Well done, Rafa! Thank you for ending a football – underwear ad era! The ads are set to break in February next year! Are we there yet? (via, photos via)

We love and treasure our celebs tastes and choices of clothing and accessories, don’t we? So naturally, it feels great to see one of them wearing something only one of us would. Like UGG boots for instance! They look rather unfashionable but unquestionably comfy and warm, however, UGG boots were adopted by everyone and their dog. Just like Crocs. (if I had someone tailing me doing my school run, I may have been spotted wearing them crocs for few times. Shhht! Don’t tell the fashion brigade!)

Who’s the one person you’d least expect him / her to wear crocs / ugg boots? (besides Anna Wintour, biensur) One of those persons was, to me, Heidi Klum. And still, here she is, gloriously walking around in her UGG boots. Sure, UGG by Jimmy Choo, but UGG nevertheless. Yes, so what if they’re $795? The M.A.C Aids Fund represented by the M.A.C Viva Glam program / collection are said to have been the best ever this year. Why? Well simply because Gaga was there. Because Lady Gaga and Cindy Lauper were the ad faces for M.A.C’s 2010 Viva Glam’s campaign.

For the new 2011 Viva Glam ad campaign, M.A.C has brought back Lady Gaga, this time on her own divine self. Just take a look at the campaign as represented by the picture below and you’ll understand that Lady Gaga is the sole angel of M.A.C’s Aids Fund. Lensed by Nick Knight and styled by Nicola Formichetti, the campaign could just as well be recycled for a jewelry brand. Who said makeup advertising needs to be product oriented? (M.A.C via)

So, naturally, whenever I see a great getup I might adopt, it’s instantly glued to my retina and I have to share it with you, maybe soften the obsession a bit. Jason Wu’s Pre Fall 2011 collection features an illegally gorgeous pair of wide leg pants I could definitely see fit for me. I’d even throw in the top, for a designer ready made outfit. After a green flop venture (remember Te Casan? The line was discontinued for good. As was the label itself), Natalie Portman had apparently mourned her fashion lack of success deep into the Hollywood Hills. She’s coming up with a truly controversial movie signed by Darren Aronofski (you might remember him as Rachel Weisz’s ex): Black Swan. Hence Natalie Portman is everywhere.

Her face, her fashion choices are, once more, in the spotlight. So how about those fashion choices? It looks like Natalie Portman has teamed up with Dior. Not just a rumor anymore, given that the first image from Dior’s Miss Dior Cherie perfume ad campaign has surfaced. With a lovely Natalie Portman, comme d’habitude!

I can’t wait to see the video they’ll make for the campaign, which I hope it’ll be at least as good as Lady Dior Lady Grey London (especially since it’s directed by Sophia Coppola)! It’s December! I spend so many days dreaming about this month and when it finally arrives, I forget to tune my Friday Breaks to the Christmas themed songs! How is that possible?
