Talking about perfume: today we’re one step closer to Emma Watson’s Lancome Tresor Midnight Rose Perfume Ad Campaign. The teaser of the video was just released and Emma soundwalks you through the entire duration of the short clip.

It’s great to hear a young lady talking so politely and choosing her words carefully without hearing the usual “like…” “ummm…” “totally…”. But then again she was also like umm totally cut and processed after the actual interview took place. There’s a new perfume in town. Coming from the house of BCBG Max Azria, the new perfume (actually called BCBG Max Azria – you have to admire the originality – wink) will be available in stores in just a matter of days (August 1st 2011).

It’s not the day of the launch, not even the fragrance that caught my attention. The bottle, however, most specifically its cap is very interesting. As it seems that Marc Jacobs is good at launching trends in any domain, not just on the catwalk. His Lola perfume’s rose shaped cap was also seen when Justin Bieber launched his own perfume – Someday. Now here’s another rose shaped bottle cap with BCBG Max Azria. It’s the year of the rose? I’m confident that Tavi Gevinson, the teen fashblogging sensation will live up to her name and spirit in her upcoming book.

The concept is rather new for the fashblogging writing / publishing style (as almost all bloggers who adventured in writing books did it in a “how to”-ish tone, thus not bringing anything really new and original to the table. Just summarizing their blogging experience and inviting others to do the same if, say, they wanted to be in the First Row). Tavi’s idea is to present the book as a Diary – scrapbook. We’ll see how that turns out. Especially since the Mulleavy sisters are said to participate! (also – how charming Tavi looks at a recent Miu Miu event! Priceless!)

I’ll start with a question: why do I always pick up my Vogue with no additional designer goodie inside other than the usual ad campaign inlays? Look at this wonderful edition of Vogue China August 2011 with a special freebie: A Gucci paper folder!

It’s not much, you’ll say. I’m well aware of that myself, however, it’s something you’re not used to find in a regular issue of a fashion magazine. Is it? It comes in either beige or black, with the GC monogram all over plus a special encryption mentioning the 90th anniversary of Gucci. Fancy, huh? What was your most special freebie up until now? I’ll start – I got a special key holder charm in the shape of a mariniere t-shirt, signed by Jean Paul Gaultier (with a French fashion magazine, eons ago). Loved it! (via)

If you missed this bridal season’s rush, you’ll get plenty of the virtual wedding glamour with the latest celebrity weddings. Kate Moss … ahem Hince as a bride was pure delight. Kate remained true to her vintage-y, bohemian style and she kept strong by her friend, John Galliano, wearing a dress designed by the outcast designer.

The latest Royal Wedding which turned Charlene Wittstock into a Monaco Princess was equally breathtaking, there’s no doubt about it. Sure, I haven’t forgot about the amazing, sublime McQueen dress as worn by Catherine, the new Duchess of Cambridge, as a matter of fact, I’m struggling to pick a favorite between the two Kate bridal gowns.

How about the hair? If we were to draw the line and designate a new bridal hair trend, it would most definitely be the loose waves down the shoulders in a natural look. However, Princess Charlene took it further and stiffed the natural bridal approach with a classic, retro glam bun decorated with a heavy piece of intricate floral jewelry work.
