Mysteriously Feminine Fashion: Fall 2013 Hermes Collection
March 6th, 2013 by kpriss
If you’re having a hard time dealing with leather after having discussed Stella McCartney’s show, I completely understand. But it’s absolutely impossible to dig into the Hermes fashion issue without carefully inspecting the leather details.
And there was a lot of leather in the Fall 2013 Hermes collection, and not all of it concentrated in accessories. Leather clothing, leather details on various clothing items. It was all there, for eyes delight and our next wardrobe reference.
Oversized & Minimized Fashion: Fall 2013 Stella McCartney Collection
March 6th, 2013 by kpriss
As we know already, the black & white fashion coordinates of the next fall 2013 season come in many shapes envisioned by the almighty fashion designers and sent down the runway, but all of them coming together at the intersection between menswear and womenswear.
And Stella McCartney knows that crossroads all to well. She does menswear inspired fashion for ladies for years now and everyone loves it. The clean lines, the simple cuts, the roomy silhouettes. Everything in Stella’s Fall 2013 collection seems to have been created with ‘comfort’ in mind.
Glitter Makeup Punk’d The World: Chanel Fall 2013 Collection
March 5th, 2013 by kpriss
I realize this title sounds a lot like Punch Drunk Love. Or at least in my head it does. But looking through Karl Lagerfeld’s 80 looks for the Chanel Fall 2013 Collection, I started to feel the subject of a prank. A clever fashion prank pulled by the catwalk’s Kaiser. I felt punk’d.
Because the fashion population refused to believe in Hedi Slimane’s Saint Laurent grunge fashion show, feeling there had to be more to fashion than what he sent down the runway. Now, after seeing Chanel’s Fall 2013 collection, I wonder, are they still in denial?
Boho Grunge Looks: Saint Laurent Paris Fall 2013
March 5th, 2013 by kpriss
I can hardly resist the urge to post pretty much everything that was shown during the Saint Laurent Fall 2013 Collection! It looks like a retail heaven for me. Like a pink fluffy cloud with a spiked black collar.
Of course reviewers tried hard to make it sound artistic and sophisticated, but the simple truth is that Hedi Slimane brought fashion from the exquisite fancy attic all the way down to the vintage treasure chest from the retro unconventional basement. Kate Moss must’ve felt chills down her spine and others of her kin as well, who always pair the old with the new in a new old way.
Oz’ Mila Kunis Gemfields Jewelry Ad Campaign
March 4th, 2013 by kpriss
Talking about British – born gemstones reminded me of a beautiful – although also on the dreamy and sad side as well – picture of Mila Kunis who was announced as the new spokesperson for Gemfields, one of the world’s most renowned emerald safe producer, also known for their ‘mine to market’ strategy.
Mila, who is currently starring in Oz, The Great and Powerful, looks like a good fit for the new campaign photographed by Mario Sorrenti, styled by Anastasia Barbieri. Too bad she has to look this serious with that beautiful, unique piece of jewelry adorning her neck!

Kate Winslet, Rock’n Roll Bride For Harper’s Bazaar UK April 2013
March 4th, 2013 by kpriss
Usually, Kate Winslet wouldn’t occupy the top position in my interests list, but I couldn’t help but notice her Harper’s Bazaar UK April 2013 cover. And that, my dahlings, is not even the cover’s photo merit!
It actually has to do with the cover’s tag line. The one announcing Kate Winslet as The Rock’n Roll Bride! Is that the fancy new way for celebrities to announce their wedding? With a magazine feature? Because Alex Lubomirski’s photo of Kate Winslet looks more on the dreamy side than on the ‘happy bride side’. But what do I know about rock’n roll brides anyway? I’m just a simple girl and I have my (fashion) simple pleasures…

Samantha Barks Les Miserables Oscars Performance Blue Dress
March 3rd, 2013 by kpriss
This is one of those ‘style by request’ moments in which I’m trying to fulfill one of the fashion wishes one of the StyleFrizz.com readers expressed. This time, it’s about Samantha Barks and a dress she was wearing during the Oscars stage performance of Les Miserables.
Samantha Barks was one of the revelations of this awards season. Of this movie season, actually. The young British Actress who has starred in Les Miserables as Eponine, made such a huge impression on the Red Carpet that everyone started inquiring about her, her style and whereabouts.
During the 2013 Oscars, she gave a wonderful stage performance, with her Les Miserables co – stars. Which brings me to the dress in question: for the Oscars stage performance, Samantha Barks was wearing a blue dress signed Jenny Packham, from the Fall 2013 collection.
Unconventionally Layering Fall 2013 Vivienne Westwood Collection
March 2nd, 2013 by kpriss
Keeping my eyes peeled at the Fashion Week’s catwalks, I decided to take advantage of the instant features, living fashion as it is delivered, hot, on the catwalk. More so since it was about a new collection from fashion’s favorite militant activist extraordinaire, Vivienne Westwood!
Dame Viv’s Fall 2013 collection was a stunning display of unconventional layering in the name of style. Socks, lace, silk, capes, jersey, tulle, cotton. You name it! It was there, in the layers!
