And to think I was living in denial during Rosie’s times with Burberry! I should’ve embraced it fully, enjoy it thoroughly for here goes Cara Delevingne stealing the show and being praised by just about anyone who has anything to say in fashion.

Thankfully, though, I still have the freedom of mind and speech, thus here I go, exercising my right to unboundedly expose my impressions: Cara Delevingne, to me, looks like an arrogant, precious, pretentious young lady all – too conscious of the opportunities provided to her because of her looks. Her ‘performance’ in Burberry Body Tender Perfume Ad Campaign confirmed and strengthened that belief in my head. (you can watch the video after the jump!)

Raf Simons’ collections for Dior receive a great deal of praise, no matter what he decides to use as main theme for his shows. I’m beginning to think that Raf Simons is the new Karl Lagerfeld. Is he not?

The collection he put together for Dior Fall 2013 follows the same black and white main lines we’ve seen earlier chez Balenciaga adding a pinch of pepper with gray and some strategically placed embroidered flowers and kitten heels shoes. Yes. You’re reading that right: Raf Simons brings kitten heels on bags, dresses pushing this cartoonish shoe rendition into a Dior symbol this season.

Although I was far from expecting a colorful exuberance from Alexander Wang’s first collection as the creative of the prestigious Balenciaga maison, but the Fall 2013 Collection he came up with during the Paris Fashion Week was somewhat cold and linear.

But maybe we’ll see side effects of his concepts injected into fast fashion as Wang’s Balenciaga ready to wear fall 2013 collection was pretty wearable and youthful. Simple, black and white with marbled gray here and there, metal noeuds and knotted jewelry (pretty clear which were the jewelry main lines for the fall season, remember Rodarte’s barb wire?). There was a lot for the young street savvy generation than for the dusted archives de la mode.

Every now and then, I’m bringing you some details I noticed from the movies we watch. The latest I wanted to write about is Parker – the movie – and Jason Statham’s watch in the movie. On his character’s wrist. The movie is not a very branding – discrete one – not that one would expect it to be, when the cast involves Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez – brand names popping here and there, be it in the character’s speech (like Jennifer Lopez’ Leslie character wearing Elie Tahari suits) or the repetitive scenes.

One of the repetitive scenes in question involved a certain timepiece that Parker, Jason Statham’s character either checks or ostentatiously places on a table right in the middle of a key scene.

Well, Jason Statham’s Parker / Daniel Parmitt’s watch is a Richard Mille RM 011. More specifically, the new RM 011 silicon nitride version.

Jessica Biel was recently spotted by the paparazzi on her way home in a French airport, with husband Justin Timberlake. Naturally, although I was tempted to only look and marvel at her happy newlywed smile, I noted what she was wearing as well…

And I noticed the sneakers. You will too. First because they’re white and they’re the only white item she has on, and then because they’re wedge sneakers, like we love them so! You may or may not remember, but I said I wanted to take the Oscars fails out of the way so we could concentrate on the better things happening on that glorious Red Carpet. I am – although a bit later than expected – delivering my closure on the 2013 Oscars.

Because I want to keep it positive, thus I really wanted to have this final word. A good word about the Oscars, to help us get through this year until the next Oscars Red Carpet. In no particular order, just as they come, a handful of interesting, beautiful, surprising details you might have missed during the initial Red Carpet reports:

Jennifer Lawrence’s fall, although not exactly a Red Carpet happening, it was, nonetheless, the event that marked her and a good part of the reports about the evening in question. I even saw this exact image turned into a b&w rendition with a Christian Dior writing added under the name “Christian Dior Fall Campaign”. Suitable.

I really wanted to keep the focus on the pleasant and the joyful. But then… this cover occurred! Kim Kardashian, Kanye West by Nick Knight for L’Officiel Hommes Paris Spring 2013.

The very epitome of fake. Of shallow and right from the wrong angles! Kim, Kanye, Knight for a men’s fashion magazine, faking it. On the cover and for the inside pictorial as well. Is that really what men want in their fashion magazines? This is not the first time I find myself expressing my concern as I feel perplexed by a men’s fashion magazine content. I did it before and I strongly believe I will continue doing so in the future when the occasion presents itself.

A special edition of Harper’s Bazaar Bulgaria, curated by Carine Roitfeld has released a teaser of their March 2013 covers. Lara Stone, Stephanie Seymour and the newest to be unveiled – Joan Smalls. And as we’ve seen before, curated issues make the best issues, don’t they?

Although not as openly sensual as Carine got us all used with from her Vogue Paris days (or her CR book), these Harper’s Bazaar Bulgaria March 2013 covers got me at the very first look with their minimal approach and subtle sensual attitude, wardrobe and pose.
