Gwyneth Paltrow Cute As A (Missing) Button for Iron Man LA Premiere
May 1st, 2008 by kpriss
With all the internet waving up to the towering Gwyneth for almost two weeks of premieres in seven inches high heels, after a visit to a back specialist, Gwinnie dresses down. To her toes.
I wouldn’t mind it though! The look of her legs, toned up and gorgeous as they are was overexposed as I strolled the internet lately, so change is a bliss! Showing off her (lack of) upper assets and her (what looks to be a) flawless back is a interesting move. Not to mention the flare leg pants, so in right now. And the masculine touch of the Stella McCartney outfit, so stylish this season.
Let’s forget about the bling. Let’s count the buttons together, shall we? From top down – 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6th is missing in action, then the 7th popping up to end of the row. What happened to the 6th button, Gwyneth? Got punished and left home to watch over the high heels? Let’s see if the buttons sales will explode just like the 7 inches high heeled shoes did because of her red carpet appearances lately…

Madonna Goes Glittery Black For Roseland Ballroom Concert
May 1st, 2008 by kpriss
Madonna had a six tracks concert yesterday, at Roseland Ballroom NY. It was her Hard Candy way to launch that last so awaited album of hers.
Aside the musical performance, aside the brilliantly marketed 4-minutes song (that, so conveniently, everyone saw from 2 weeks or so because it was “unofficially” swept to the public), let’s concentrate a bit on her Madgesty style to know what we’re facing in the next months…
Very Elle Spring Summer 2008 – Spread Your Legs And Say N’Importe Quoi
May 1st, 2008 by kpriss
Very Elle is out. It’s all about female icons, and it goes public twice a year. Fortunately! It’s not a question of price or availability. It’s more a question of fashion editors.
The glossy magazine features a series of photo editorials with some more or less controversial women. The main issue is, however, the way they’re pictured. Let’s take, for instance, Chloë Sevigny. She’s photographed in her New York loft and on the very first picture, we’re told what we already know – that “Chloë disturbs, she’s intriguing, she fascinates”…
Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue Shakes Off The Catherine Zeta-Jones From Catherine Zeta-Jones
April 30th, 2008 by kpriss
If Photoshop can make you look younger, wax-ier, then makeup, and especially Elizabeth Arden makeup can surely make you look like anyone but yourself!
The campaign motto is “shakes things up” and it’s meant to represent a new lipstick with color intrigue effects. I admit, I am most intrigued by the effects of this new Elizabeth Arden lipstick also! It seems to me it shakes all the Catherine from the Catherine Zeta-Jones, leaving some unknown kitten-like-Posh-double face for the advertorial print. Are you familiar with Elizabeth Arden? She pulls this kind of stunt often? Or it’s a Catherine Z. by request?

Alicia Keys Late Show Fit Outfit
April 30th, 2008 by kpriss
How fit is too fit? Looking at this grey dress I got a claustrophobic feeling and asked myself how could one wear a glove-fit dress without making it too obvious.
Alicia Keys curvy body got a dress so tight, it looks like a second skin. With thong. Now that’s a daring outfit to promote one’s album! Kylie should have a talk with this curvy young lady, who knows, maybe that Geisha thing will melt into something more… bodylicious…However, the question still remains – how can you wear such a tight dress without making it in the fashion disaster column?

Kylie Goes Geisha
April 30th, 2008 by kpriss
Knowing that your latest album just made a flop in the US, how can you go even X-er than your average X-tour?
Well, I guess Kylie is about to show us nothing can bring her down as she gets ready for a 2008 tour in Europe. Why she poses like a geisha is completely beyond my understanding. But maybe, just maybe, her 6,000 copies of the album sold in the US made her think that the Asian market has an interesting ring to it. Me, I just find this image on the bad taste side, especially since I’m not making any kind of connection between her, her X tour and this look. Do you?

Miley Goes Vampire For June’s Vanity Fair
April 29th, 2008 by kpriss
These days, everybody’s talking Miley. Miley and her Vanity Fair photos. Miley and her so-called indecent photos by Annie Leibovitz. Miley and her official apologies for posing so undressed in Vanity Fair.
She features the June Issue of Vanity Fair, not even on the cover, and she already has the world talking ups and downs about the photo shoot. People are making financial assumptions (rumor has it there will be some stock effects on Disney), next you know, they’ll be making a subculture, a subreligion dealing with those pictures. What’s it all about? Well, this:
It’s not so damaging, right? Then again, it’s a 15 years old girl posing there… It doesn’t make it so normal anymore. Especially when reading that 15 years old Disney sensation Miley thinks that “This looks pretty, and really natural. I think it’s really artsy.” Besides an undead, unnatural, vampire-like look, I can’t see anything appropriate to her age in this famous sitting. But then again, that’s my eye and we all know how the world is hungry for another Brit case. Again, I’m not speculating, I’m not taking any controversial part, I’m just asking if this looks natural or artsy to you!

Hello Kitty By Dior
April 28th, 2008 by kpriss
Not long ago, I told you there will be a Nippon Vogue covering a very special model – Sanrio’s Hello Kitty.
Following a long but steady course, Sanrio’s Kitty just made the catwalk. And not just a modest debut – a Dior one! Galliano made a defile queen out of this very famous Kitty – she’s wearing every model from the latest Dior Collection. To be honest, I see this as a diversion, I hope it won’t stick around. Don’t get me wrong, I like getting girlish-look, still I wouldn’t go as far as cartoon-girlish-look. How about you? Do you do Hello Kitty for your every day wardrobe?
