Alice Dellal For Agent Provocateur

After going goth bridal with Kate Moss, Agent Provocateur is testing our nerves… How far can they go without making us forget why we ever liked AP.

They dumped Kate Moss. Poor girl, she’s getting every door slammed into her face. First YSL and now Agent Provocateur. Just when we thought the supers were back, AP turns the page and takes on a greater challenge – to transform Alice Dellal into something at least human to look at. I wonder if they’ll manage that! What makes Alice more interesting than Kate? Or more attractive?

Adieu Yves Saint Laurent!

So it goes. Sometimes good people are called in earlier… Yves Saint Laurent died at the age of 71 after a long illness (the reason of death wasn’t mentioned).

Fashion just suffered a big loss. Adieu Yves Henri Donat Mathieu Saint Laurent! Thy innovative work shall always be honored properly!

Brooke Shields Pink Crocs Disaster

I guess I was right then… Sneakers will soon be the perfect match for the evening gown.

I only speculated this early on, but Brooke Shields is definitely taking things to the next level with her arrival at a restaurant wearing a pink evening dress with matching disastrous pink crocs. From now on, I’ll try to hold my tongue when it comes to predicting bad fashion moves! Just take a look and say is this the beginning of a nightmare?

Nike Fur-Sneaker For Your Feline Self

I know, I’m slowly but surely developing a sneaker obsession! Say that trends prediction is not true!

Even if I don’t get further than my tennis sneakers and my converse, still I have to talk about things catching my eye. And this Nike does! It blinds my fashion diplomacy in a flash! I’m opening my eyes and lay them on this fur-something-looking-like-shoes: thy name be “Garfield Nike”! Grrr!

Mouse Hunt

Maybe I should just back off the words and let the image speak for itself. Sometimes it’s better.

But… I can’t help myself! This is one funny, cute, incredibly sweet picture! Even if it’s a predator-themed scene, it’s impossible to stop smiling about it. Isn’t it? I wonder if the mouse gets caught…

Numéro 94 June July 2008 Eaux Profondes

The underwater pictures are a confirmed trend. Numéro 94 takes things a bit further with some catchy textures.

In the first picture there’s only Gaultier Paris. The second photo is about Alexander McQueen, Maison Martin Margiela for the third image and Emilio Pucci in the fourth. Interesting resulting contrast. I was so curious that I had to ask how they’re done (my husband has a thing with photography, so I kinda have my very own specialist) and he said it’s not too complicated, it’s all about lights and filters (and girls willing to go underwater to pose) but I still remain fascinated about the outcome. So what do you say? it’s the technique or the fashion making this photoshoot? (click the thumbnails to enlarge)

How far do you take the adoration for a magazine? If you need to express your press taste publicly, than you’d be pleased by this piece of jewelry news.

Angelina Jolie Covers Vanity Fair July 2008

When everyone talks about the supposed birth of Angie’s twins, Vanity Fair is presenting her on the July cover.

Even if her look is almost on the “too much” side of things (you can click the image to enlarge), she always manages that intriguing look that made her one of the most attractive women ever. The little interview published by Vanity Fair with the picture talked about a family-Angie that feels great when she’s pregnant, feels lucky to have an international family, feels amazed by the miracle of life and consider herself an artist parent. I remember those days when Angie’s interviews and pictures caused a stir. Now she’s just in the average cover story… Or it’s just me?
