The word is out that Yves Saint Laurent Fall-Winter 2008-2009 Campaign found its face – Naomi Campbell.
And they trusted the mission in the hands of Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the Dutch couple soon to set a fashion of their own since they’re allover the place. I’m really curious if this YSL Fall –Winter campaign will look anything like the Manifesto. Anyway, things are getting back to old school for the big fashion house. Spring Summer Manifesto with Kate Moss, now Naomi. (the ads are shot in Paris, reportedly present times). Besides being a pretty face, the soon-38 model is she the wise choice for YSL? Is controversy feeding enough the numbers behind Yves Saint Laurent?
Just a short comment , if you know Stefano Pilati then you’ll know enough. And why don’t use an model like Naomi? Yes she’s a woman with different faces, but what does it matter, she’s welknown to the general public, so she (and of course YSL) are doing well.
Congratulations to Naomi. She is still raking in the big contracts…much to the irritation of the Haters.
Sad that with all her beauty and talent, people still hate her for one simple reason, that she is beautiful and she is still in demand.

Apparantly controversy sells these days big time. And it looks more and more that’s what has become of fashion today.
I don’t like this choice at all. This woman has no dignity or has a lack of self-respect. Why else does she behave like she does?
Strange to write such a commend the day after the man himself has died……
My dear Adriana I hope you meant the comment of Whatever, my comment was already made at the end of March this year. If you mean me then you have to be ashamed of yourself. You only have to look to the date’s and you’ll know it all.
My, my, there it goes! Wherever Naomi goes, controversy follows! Of course the scandal-publicity she offers with her continuous strange ego maniac behaviors does a world of difference for the end of the month balance, but who’s paying attention to numbers, anyway? Or dates? It’s just fashion… ;)
