Ellen DeGeneres And Portia De Rossi Just Married!
August 20th, 2008 by kpriss
A simple white wedding, I’m loving it! Ellen and Portia got married last Saturday. The ceremony was intimate and a complete mystery up until the first photos emerged. And they looked just beautiful!
A Zac Posen dress, the rumors fly, but a white wedding nevertheless. More images and even a film were announced for the upcoming Season 6 of now Mrs. DeGeneres show. She also left a very emotional message on her website: “I had a big, big weekend. I got married.(…) I do a lot of things differently now …I say ‘I do’ a lot.(…) For example: Do you know why I pulled you over? I do. And that was just this morning. (…) The wedding was everything we hoped it would be. I wish I could’ve invited all of you.” Weren’t they just beautiful?

Fashion Meet Blog: Ilya Fleet Bags
August 20th, 2008 by kpriss
When I found these handbags, the only thing that came to my mind was the blog culture. I trust you’ve all seen by now how the blogosphere promotes its fashionistas – throughout pictures. Everyday pictures of yourself outfitted with whatever comes to your mind. Regardless its actual wearable factor or if authenticity, it just matters that you posted your pictures with “your outfit of the day”.
But I kid you not, this kind of blogging can create addiction. Such was the case when a very blogverse-renowned just disappeared, taking with her the shopping spree of inspiration that her site was sending in the blogverse (rumor has it she’s back). However, getting back to the bags – they’re pretty. Even more. Practical, urban and attractive, Ilya Fleet bags collection is a truly good one. (more pictures after the jump)

Calvin Klein White Label Ads With Doutzen And Gabriel
August 20th, 2008 by kpriss
As much as I like Doutzen (and dislike Aubrey), the latest ad campaign for Calvin Klein White Label doesn’t touch me at all.
They may be two of the most beautiful faces of the moment but these pictures aren’t natural. Doutzen seems to be uncomfortable, there’s one picture where she’s looking like someone who wants to escape the situation. Second of all, the clothes aren’t so surprising. Sure, they’ve got a clean cut, but nothing extraordinary, just grey-ish and ordinary. Does it look special to you? At least this picture with the black cardigan could’ve been any, not necessarily Calvin Klein. But I guess that when you’re on top of the game, you can reinvent the plain white paper and say it’s originally yours. Which one of the following pictures look CK 2008-2009 to you? (photos via tfs)
Clinique Mascara Ad Print
August 20th, 2008 by kpriss
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get really tired of magazine ad prints displaying the same models, in the same poses, photographed by the same lenses over and over again. Not to mention the photoshop postprocessing…
This Clinique ad surprised me and I thought I’d share with you and ask you if you think that models could impact more. Because as far as mascaras go, I don’t think there’s a single ad out there photoshopless or fake-lashes-less…( I remember there was even a scandal regarding the excessive postproduction of mascara ads). So what do you say? (click photo to enlarge)

Your iPhone Is LV Or Diamonds Compatible?
August 19th, 2008 by kpriss
If you love your phone, you’ll take good care of it. By that I’m saying you shouldn’t put it in the same place as the keys or metal coins, or any other metal object that could scratch it, that you shouldn’t drop it (on any surface, including liquid) or keep it near heat sources. All that and more (but I haven’t memorized the manual).
Anyway, that’s what a normal phone owner does. Others just like it blingy. So to attend those who are called everything from snob up, below the iPhone cases to impress. The first one is the Louis Vuitton. What it does and how it looks like:The LV case makes you iPhone from 0,5 to almost 10 times more expensive since a Monogram Canvas case is $225 and the Alligator Skin case is $1120. It looks like this: (more after the jump)
Fierce Moody Mamas By Christian Siriano
August 19th, 2008 by kpriss
I’ve ignored the Siriano subject for some time now but I just can’t do it no more! He just announced a maternity line for spring 2009.
And if you think that’s alright, that there’s not enough maternity clothing out there (something that wouldn’t make a pregnant woman feel like a sack of potatoes), just hear the rest: he joined Moody Mamas for this project, two lady friends of his. All normal, right? Only Marta Abrams and Elise Rosemarin aka Moody Mamas never had a baby of their own – meaning they were never pregnant. As for Christian he is a man (gay, I give him that much, but nevertheless a man). (more after the jump)

Adidas No.74 – The Artsy Shopping Experience
August 19th, 2008 by kpriss
Lately, stores have become so much more than just shopping areas. And sportswear companies so much more than just sport occasioned clothing.
The ever innovating Adidas shows yet another concept to the world. The No. 74 store in Berlin. It’s far more than your regular sneakers boutique. It’s a designer’s made gallery, just on the side Adidas store. The opening was celebrated with a photography exhibition with Juergen Meyer’s work. Why should sneaker buying people be more artsy than others? Why should stores become some fancy uber designed spaces?

Wonderbra – The Original Ad Print
August 18th, 2008 by kpriss
I first saw this ad three days ago and ever since I look at it and find it more and more brilliant. I haven’t solved the mystery of it being authentic or broken after being installed (maybe you can help me if you’ve seen it around).
If it originally showed just the girl presenting the dark wonderbra lingerie, then it was really blunt and dull. The magic touch was the broken glass (or the broken glass effect, but if you ask me, it looks pretty broken to me!). What do you say? Advertising magic or amateur-after-effect?
