Would You Wear The Amazing Jewelry From Studio Loor?
November 4th, 2008 by kpriss
I’ve recently received an email asking me to take a look on a website. I’m glad they send me that email! Because I discovered this amazing world where jewelry and nature mix and match to create some unbelievable pieces of jewelry!
Carefully handmade from gems, gold, leather, silk, silver and tagua (Tagua is a plant growing in the humid mountains of Ecuador, the vegan alternative for ivory) , each piece from the Studio Loor Collections has a piece of Ecuador in it. A small token of spirit to take away, something to remind the carrier how beautiful nature can be and how amazing this world still is. (more images after the jump)
Angelina Jolie Covers UK Harper’s Bazaar In December 2008
November 3rd, 2008 by kpriss
For some reason, Angie’s back to her old posing ways on the cover of UK Harper’s Bazaar, the December 2008 issue.
I haven’t seen that face of hers since Tomb Raider, I think! It must be for the same Changeling promotion campaign, but at least she doesn’t look like a granny or like a drawn mother of six! She looks like the good ol’ Angie. There’s also something else that’s catchy about this issue. The gold snakeskin title. It matches Angie’s face (or at least her pose for this cover), doesn’t it?(photo via tfs)
UPDATE: Right after the picture you can find the photos from Harper’s Bazaar’s editorial with Angelina. (click thumbnails to see larger images)
Cindy Crawford In Michigan Avenue Fall 2008
November 3rd, 2008 by kpriss
Because we like her, because you like her, I searched (and, more importantly, I found!) another magazine featuring Cindy Crawford on the cover!
The Fall 2008 edition of Michigan Avenue covers the local supermodel, Cindy Crawford. Beautiful as always, even if she’s 42 years old! I don’t like the cover, so this is why I haven’t started with that picture and chose a Moulin Rouge-like shoot instead. But that was me – you can choose your own favorite picture! Which one would it be? (click thumbnails to see larger images!)
Tim Burton And Helena Bonham Carter In Vogue UK December 2008
November 3rd, 2008 by kpriss
Now that’s a fierce fashion pictorial. Fierce and fantastic! It’s a Tim Burton story. Alongside his beautiful, brilliant wife, Helena Bonham Carter, he poses for Tim Walker in the December’s issue of Vogue UK.
I promised I’d get back with more pictures from this fantastic issue, so here it goes: Tales of the Unexpected is the name, Tim Burton, Helena Bonham-Carter is the game. All in a royal Vogue UK edition. Whenever I see these two, I get a surreal feeling of Chocolate Madness factory! Too bad there’s no Johnny in! How do you like the pictures? (photos via tfs)
Helena Christensen, Alice Dellal Pirates For Agent Provocateur Collection
November 3rd, 2008 by kpriss
I thought it was just a rumor. When they released the Season Of The Witch, I was sure it was all gone, that there was not going to be an Alice Dellal for Agent Provocateur.
I was wrong. The Pirate Provocateur campaign just got its wings spread all over the internet. And in justice because there’s someone else (besides rebel heiress Alice) stealing the spotlight – Helena Christensen is the Pirate Queen! She looks highly unnatural and pretty absent (you can see that from the pictures as well as the video teaser right after the break) but she is still the gorgeous Helena we love so much!
As far as Alice goes.. Well.. she looks every inch a rood pirate, so she really deserved this campaign! I’m not sure about that polka dot ensemble and her rebellious ways… What’s your feeling about this campaign? Because if we’re to talk lingerie, I think the design of this Season of the Pirates isn’t all that great. (not to mention the prices! $160 for a demi bra that hasn’t got anything original or breathtaking?) (via , photos via agentprovocateur.com)

Cindy Crawford Does Vogue Paris In November 2008
November 3rd, 2008 by kpriss
The word has been spreading fast – Cindy Crawford in a fashion editorial! It’s the age of the supers! And after Christy, she came in close as a favorite, so here’s the Vogue Paris pictures with Cindy Crawford!
Have to have my word about the images, anyway… It’s a beautiful woman. In great shape. I would’ve loved to see more of her than swimsuit or underwear pictures, matching with cheap looking skirts. She’s hardly doing pictorials anymore, so it would’ve been great to take full (and beyond) advantage of this situation.. Do you think the pictures showed all there could have been done with Cindy Crawford? (photos via tfs)

Easy Like… Birdwash!
November 2nd, 2008 by kpriss
Now I understand why some animals are so squeaky clean! Nature has its own ways, it’s a sure thing!
I remember seeing a picture of something similar, when I was growing up. It was a little bird tooth picking a crocodile. Moments like that look so unbelievable, yet so great! And to think our dogs and cats get the home-shampoo treatment just because they’re privileged pets! Wouldn’t it be great if nature could follow its course? (photo via pixdaus)
Maison Martin Margiela Jewelry Collection With Damiani
November 1st, 2008 by kpriss
If you’re a fan of the whimsical work signed Maison Martin Margiela, here’s the latest:
The explosive jewelry team just hit the market: Maison Martin Margiela and Damiani 14 pieces collection is out! I love the Spartan look of the collection and the simplicity of every item. I don’t believe they’re easy to wear, but that’s not the purpose of fashion, is it? The Margiela/Damiani jewelry collection looks surprisingly beautiful in a commercial kind of way (even if they retail for appx $900-47,000), don’t they? (via highsnobette, fabsugar, wwd)
