Chopard’s 150 Anniversary Animal World Jewelry And Watches Collection

Chopard is known for their complicated craft and overcomplicated pieces of jewelry. The Animal World Collection makes no exception from the uber detailed work we were used to seeing chez Chopard so far.

Marking a special anniversary – Chopard’s 150th anniversary – the new collection is comprised of 150 unique pieces, amazing bejeweled art so hard to contain in just a few phrases. (the story continues right after the jump with more images, click here for the gallery!)

Coco Rocha’s Oh So Coco Flare April 2010

This is beautiful. This you have to see! You know I don’t hide my love for Coco Rocha. Her versatility and joy, her energy and hunger of life fuel me with hope. Hope that there’s still something good in the fashion industry. Some un-rotten parts. Somewhere.

I keep that enthusiasm high especially when facing pictures like these ones! Inspiring, dynamic, happy and stylish. Coco Rocha gracing a pictorial for Flare, April 2010. This girl was born to be alive! (click through to see more, click here for the gallery!) (photos tfs via fgr)

Sak’s Ryusaku Hiruma Leather Converse Sneakers

Our dear friend, Adriana, joked one day about Converse issuing a new sneaker every day. Maybe so, maybe not, we’re bound by the pleasures of wearing Converse sneakers here and that alone makes me want to bring you every novelty crossing my way signed Converse.

Today’s model bears the signature of Ryusaku Hiruma, a Japan-born designer who wanted to blend Florence’s history “with Converse’s legacy”. Thus the following models made from leather, hand-stitched with only 64 pairs of every model (Chuck Taylor All Star, Jack Purcell, One Star 1974, Star Tech high top). Each pair costs $700 and is currently available in Open Ceremony stores for the US and in London at Dover Street Market. Though it’s slightly off my chart, the new limited edition Converse looks pretty couture. What say you? (via 1, 2)

Madeleine Peyroux La Javanaise

I told you I was going to make up for it! Madeleine Peyroux is one of the most treasured artists in our household! If you ever feel curious about it, please try “Half the perfect world”. It’s a wonderful album from a wonderful voice – Madeleine Peyroux.

If I would have it in my power to change something to the world, I would add a tiny, itsy bitsy Starbucks in every town. Everywhere in the world. Yesterday we had a kids half-day off. And me and my Adored Husband we walked and we talked and later we stopped for a cup of Starbucks.

And while I was peacefully sipping on my Starbucks cup, Madeleine Peyroux’ rendition of the famous “La Javanaise” was playing in the café. I wanted to share that sea of calm from our kids-half-day-off. A consommer without moderation! Just close your eyes and (sip on that Starbucks of your choice with me)! I’m a simple girl, and I like simple things… Spending a half day en amoureux with your husband and then top it with good music and a comforting beverage. Some things in life are so beautiful and so simple! (more right after the jump!)

Jessica Simpson’s Marie Claire May 2010, No Makeup Is The New Makeup

Marie Claire’s makeupless issues begin to push up the celeb-scale. They’re now showing bare-faced Jessica Simpson on the cover of their May 2010 issue.

After all the scandal that’s following her at every step she’s taking (or not), Jessica’s no-makeup magazine cover is a brave move and I’m happy she decided to make it. Not necessarily wanting to point the makeup touches or the Photoshop enhancements (there’s hardly anyone who’ll ever believe there wasn’t not even a light/contrast filtering through Photoshop); I just want to state the obvious: the people loves a brave girl. Fat or not, she’s keeping her head up, still. And she’s managing a silent, pretty darn successful fashion business on top of that! Who cares she doesn’t wear any makeup for a photo shoot? Heidi Klum’s New Shoulder Lenght Hair, The New It Haircut For 2010?

Given I just had a (minor) haircut (you know the kind that keeps you away from split ends), I still have my eyes peeled on anything hair-related. Heidi Klum’s shorter hair had me wondering: is shoulder – length the new 2010 haircut or she’s just relaxing her locks inbetween extensions?

After all, it was for a day at the playground with the kids. She could have sported this laid back look without fear. What do you think? (if the case is – extensions, I never knew she was wearing any. Did you?) Would you wear your hair longer or shorter than Heidi’s? (photos via)

Karl Lagerfeld’s Coca Cola Ads Starring Coco Rocha, Baptiste Giabiconi

We were already used to seeing Baptiste Giabiconi’s de-personalized self impersonating Karl Lagerfeld. Were we ready to see Coco Rocha as Karl Lagerfeld?

Because Karl doesn’t have much to do lately with Fashion Weeks all wrapped up, he helped launching (not a better version but definitely a more expensive one) a new Coca Cola Light. With his silhouette on. Colette’s exclusive box is already available and the new ads are here for our eyes to see. (the story continues right after the jump with more images!)

Return Of The Geek Chic – Brett Domino Trio Justin Timberlake Medley

I missed those two! The funniest, geekiest duo/trio I’ve ever had the pleasure of hearing. Not to mention their music-making gadgets! Lovely!

Their latest : a Justin Timberlake medley (Sexyback, Like I love you, Lovestoned). I’m not sure which I prefer – the geek chic JT or the real JT. What say you? (via)
