Jason Wu Spring 2011 CND Nail Polish Collection
January 21st, 2011 by kpriss
I’m growing slowly but steadily into a Jason Wu fan. Not long ago I was praising his pre fall 2011 collection, there I go at the praise game again, this time, for Jason Wu’s nail polish collection!
Have you ever tried the CND nail polish? I haven’t, so I was pretty curious to know the difference between cnd and OPI, my regular nail polish. CND, you see, it’s the catwalk nail polish (for the NY fashion week) so it should be a fashionista must.
Jason Wu’s Spring Summer 2011 Nail Polish collection is actually a set of 4 nail lacquers and one top coat. Red (Veronica), mushroom gray (Sophia), rose pink (Brigitte), light gray (Miss Wu). The top coat (Anna) is pretty special – once the nail polish dry, apply the top coat for a tweed-y look. The nail polish will be available this May for $47 in salons and online.
Also – we see the pink alright, but where’s the green? (via)

Welcome To Diesel Island Summer 2011 Campaign
January 20th, 2011 by kpriss
Remember Diesel’s last ad campaign? It runs (yes, it’s still happening) under the title “Be stupid” and calls for all the less minded actions in the world in the name of Diesel. I know – pretty fashion, right?
For 2011, however, they moved up a notch and went for a Lost – like theme (since Lost is no more, Lost nostalgics will surely go out get their Diesel fix just for ol’ time island sake) and invited the Diesel Island with the subtitle “The least effed up country in the world. But give us time.”. The ad was created by the Santo agency and will go viral in magazines, outdoor, viral games, videos and Facebook apps.
Also – Forget Lost – how about Treasure Island? I’m looking forward for Diesel’s Farmville next! (via)
Karl Lagerfeld Designs Another Coca Cola Light Bottle
January 20th, 2011 by kpriss
If you were expecting something more catwalk appropriate from Der Kaiser, here’s today’s news to tell you that you’ll have to wait longer. Karl Lagerfeld may be feeling the financial pressures of today’s economy or he’s simply bored out of his talented minds because he signed another deal with Coca Cola.
Yes, yes, rejoice, there will be another Coca Cola Light bottle designed by the great Karl Lagerfeld! No details about the design are available for the moment, even though they say the bottles will be graphic – let’s face it – there isn’t that much he can change about a Diet Coke bottle, is there? Skirt it, suit it, but it’s still the same shape with the same fonts. Will Lagerfeld’s bottle design convince you to buy Coca Cola Light?
Also – given that the original news was referring to Coca Cola Light and not Diet Coke, does that mean that the Kaiser’s designs will not be available in the States? (via; photo via)

Michelle Obama In Alexander McQueen Resort 2011 Red Dress
January 20th, 2011 by kpriss
While we all look up to the First Lady for inspiration and style inspiration, she just confirmed that all our sneaky looks are completely justified by wearing a show stopping dress by Alexander McQueen from the Resort 2011 collection!
The one shouldered asymmetrical gorgeousness worn by Michelle Obama was occasioned by the state dinner with China’s President Hu Jintao. Undeniably a (lucky) liaison with wearing red for good luck in the Chinese culture, the dress looked impeccable on the First Lady and I couldn’t be more proud to see McQueen’s creation worn by such a fine, fierce woman!

Keke, Julia, Jessica, Mariana D & G Spring Summer 2011 Ad Campaign
January 20th, 2011 by kpriss
Let me start by saying Oh My God! Now that I took that off my chest I can go on naturally saying Oh My God! Yep. Yes, that’s me right now starring at the new Dolce and Gabbana D & G Spring Summer 2011 ad campaign!
And I’ll keep the text short because I want you to concentrate on the images! Feel the energy! Want those flowery prints! Dream those flowy dresses and happy sandals! Starring Keke Lindgard, Jessica Clarke, Julia Turenkova, Mariana Idzkowska and photographed by Mario Testino, this D & G campaign totally absolves the mother brand of that porch washing Dolce ad we’ve seen a while back!
Also – I think I need a new wardrobe. Right. Now! (hit the jump for more awesomeness! click here for the gallery!) (photos via)
Christian Lacroix For Desigual Collection
January 20th, 2011 by kpriss
If Desigual doesn’t ring any familiar bells to you and you’re uncertain if you would like or dislike their creations put it this way: have you ever dreamed of wearing a patchwork quilt outside your house? If the answer is yes, then you will definitely love Desigual. If you’re answer is no, then, maybe, consider it for inside the house? Maybe?
Either way, Christian Lacroix collaborating with Desigual is great news and he absolutely is complimentary to the colorful Desigual style. This is the first collection, a second, larger one will follow in 2012. 30 pieces (jackets, skirts and lingerie) signed by Lacroix will be available this fall in the Desigual stores. Now if you don’t consider the patchwork dressing code normally, would a Lacroix patchwork change that for you? (Desigual via)
