Natalie Portman In Dior La Vie En Rose By Sofia Coppola: Teasers
February 20th, 2013 by kpriss
I remember the first time I heard about Sofia Coppola filming a commercial for Dior starring Natalie Portman: I was devastated thinking that it’ll be a washed out hipster – friendly depressing kind of thing. I was partly right as their first collaboration ended up in a washed out, deeply romantic Miss Dior Cherie commercial. This time, however, for their new ‘La Vie En Rose‘ project, things look so much different!
Some teasers were released and, I must admit, Sofia Coppola’s La Vie En Rose Dior film looks fun, lively and lovely. And Natalie Portman is unexpectedly tanned and healthy, fresh looking! Oh, and – blushing – it also involves a lot of pink. A LOT (wink). Have you seen the teasers? I added two after the jump so you’ll tell me how you feel about this commercial as well!

Max Mara Gray Wrap Dress Worn By Pregnant Kate Middleton Already Sold Out
February 19th, 2013 by kpriss
So that it: we have the first official photos of Duchess Catherine’s Royal baby bump! Kate Middleton made her first pregnant appearance at London’s Hope House after weeks of scandal surrounding even more paparazzi photos taken of her and her baby bump while on vacation. Kate seems to be a continuous magnet for ‘unofficial’ reports. Sadly.
But I will only concentrate on the positive this time, talking about Kate Middleton’s baby bump (of course!) and the wrap dress she was wearing for the occasion, a MaxMara Studio dress.
This marks the second time this year Kate Middleton makes an official duty appearance: being the patron of London’s Hope House where women recover from addiction, she spent an hour talking to the people who either work there or recover from various addictions there. But more than her topics of concern, her dress raised a lot of questions and interest! Pregnant Kate Middleton chose a $195 MaxMara gray wrap dress to honor her official engagement.
Explosive Cross Cultural Tom Ford Fall 2013 Collection
February 19th, 2013 by kpriss
All is but moving sand in fashion. Hence, Tom Ford, after repeatedly trying to blind us with exclusive closed doors presentations, came back on the open catwalk. But he didn’t do that silently and discretely, oh no, he did it with a KA – POW! In all fashion sense, biensur.
Our favorite models walked down the runway with a frown or with a strangely tanned warrior expression. Almost like this collection had Tom Ford himself cringing permanently. A colorful explosion of multi sourced inspiration feast before our fashion hungry eyes: ethnically inspired prints, crisscrossing cultural silhouette, acutely graffitiesques comics subtleties. You name it, if it had a POP! ring to it, it was in Tom Ford’s Fall 2013 collection!
Scandalous Call Girl Inspired Burberry Fall 2013 Collection
February 19th, 2013 by kpriss
Inspiration comes from the most unexpected places but in the present case of Burberry Fall 2013 Collection, it comes from the most unexpected characters! Christopher Bailey admitted that he modeled his latest creations with a notorious call girl in mind!
Christine Keeler who was involved in several scandals used to intimately entertain notable political personalities back in the sixties. When exposed, her connections were instantly publicly disgraced while Christine Keeler herself became instantly famous. Being – as I said – nothing but a promiscuous call girl who transformed into a notorious it girl. Whether this Burberry Prorsum Fall 2013 collection reminds you of her (had you known details about her and ways previous to this Fashion Show) or not, it remains to be seen – hit the jump to discuss the clothes for a moment!
Kate Bosworth: Her Movies, Her Man, Her Wedding In Elle March 2013
February 18th, 2013 by kpriss
Kate Bosworth was shortly profiled in Elle March 2013. The last time she made the headlines, it was with her singing more than her acting. And even so, it was not even her own singing as she was ‘paying homage’ to Michelle Pfeiffer. That’s how the call a cover nowadays – paying homage. Like you said Galliano did with his latest wardrobe affront – he was paying homage. I got get this into my system. Paying Homage. Yeah.
Back to Kate: she has three movies coming up next, one of which was already released through Sundance: Big Sur. Kerouac’s novel scripted into a movie directed by Michael Polish. Kate instantly zinged for him! (any of you familiar with Adam Sandler’s Hotel Transylvania? ‘zing’ just became my latest vocabulary obsession! It’s a complex word describing an even more complex feeling: falling in love with ‘the one’, your other half!)
So now, Kate Bosworth is planning her wedding. Besides being creatively involved in Michael Polish’s projects – one of them was the said singing project for Topshop’s Holiday advertising campaign (find it after the jump). All that and more in Elle’s March 2013 issue!

During the fashion – filled days of London Fashion Week, I always keep an eye out for rich, surprising prints. And this is just one example to kick start what for me will always be a continuously amazing spree of rich prints & fabric motifs.
The first time she’s putting a show in her hometown, L’Wren Scott decided to make it a moment to remember. Substantially rich in prints, her Fall 2013 collection is one of those Red Carpet repertoires we’ll most likely see during the awards seasons and more.
Miu Miu Women Tales: AvaDuVernay The Door Spring 2013 Film
February 18th, 2013 by kpriss
I was really reluctant to try another Prada / Miu Miu fashion film. Everything so far, although highly fashionable, was a bit too fash – cryptic for me. And that was a bit disappointing since I still strongly believe that fashion is about fun before anything.
But our dearest friends (thank you, Ellington and Appollonia!) introduced me to the story and I was delighted to discover it, playing the 9 minutes of Ava DuVernay’s The Door short film for Miu Miu and then feeling I wanted more! (hit the jump to discover both The Door and a short behind the scenes clip as well!)
