Balenciaga Fall Winter 2008 2009 Fashion Show
July 8th, 2008 by kpriss
Can you imagine that from the nine minutes and half of the fashion show, at least one minute it was just with the applauses? And that’s not necessarily a bad thing!
And that the first two minutes were all about the song I love for almost two months now (Hot Chip – Out at the pictures)? So if I cut that from the clip because I wasn’t really paying attention to the catwalk, I get six minutes of Balenciaga Fall Winter 2008 2009. The catwalk really looked like a science fair more than anything. All the models literally walked like robots which made the show pretty hilarious and stole (at least for me) the woman-factor from the story and transformed it into some cyber-material (don’t forget to see the robo-walk right after the picture)
Chanel, Jessica And Natasha For Victoria’s Secret
July 7th, 2008 by kpriss
The new modeling standard seems to be Victoria’s Secret. Maybe we’re headed for a new line of angels.
This time it’s about three new surprising VS models: Jessica Stam, Chanel Iman and Natasha Poly. Chanel and Natasha look more like catalog models than Natasha. Or so I have the feeling. I haven’t been able to find more pictures of Chanel and Natasha, is seems that Jessica is the favorite according to the numerous poses she features in the catalog. How does it look like to you?
Latest Trends In Weddings – Drive In Weddings
July 7th, 2008 by kpriss
I was thinking these days about the 2009 trends. Fashion Trends. But instead I just came across the trendiest of the weddings : the drive-in wedding!
Sweden is all about fast: fast-fashion (H & M), fast-furniture (Ikea) now the fast-wedding! Imagine instead of spending all that money on a white dress, white party et caetera, you spend it all on buying a flashy car to wed in! Are you bond to traditions when it comes to weddings? Or it’s just a flash of the moment thing so why not a drive-in-thing?(don’t miss the clip right after the picture!)

Prada Linda FW 08 Engage! Third Episode
July 7th, 2008 by kpriss
We’re dignified with a closeup! How more marvelous can you get? At least if it’s everywhere, let’s have fun with it!
For some reason this ad makes me think about Karl and his high collar theme (too bad Linda doesn’t have a bow tie like the Kaiser had back in the days! It would’ve warmed her plastic pose a bit). And let me say I’m beginning to feel a bit over-laced by this lace-excess.. Lace here, lace there, lace handbag, lace, lace lace? It just makes Linda look more like a plastic doll! Do you like that lace trend? Would it catch for 2009?

The Surprising Nylo Hotel From Plano, Texas
July 7th, 2008 by kpriss
Nylo is a new hotels brand. New and refreshingly artsy. I found the pictures, thought they were amazing so I’m presenting them to you, to give me your feeling (you know I like a good deco-case when I find one!)
The common gathering place is called “The Loft” and it really looks like one! Discretely colored and surprisingly coordinated, this common area from the Nylo Plano hotel could very well be a home. (don’t miss the rest of the pictures to convince you that this is really a beauty!)
Eva Herzigova Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2008 2009 Ad Campaign
July 6th, 2008 by kpriss
When Gravity met Louis Vuitton, nothing happened. Gravity was so impressed by the Almighty Monogram, that simply laid low until completely vanishing.
The ad print from the Louis Vuitton fall winter campaign is out. And about is just what I told you – Monogramouflage beats Gravity! Mert and Marcus have done a great job, not even Eva looks like Eva and this war-thing is getting on my nerves. Just for fun – is she wearing white like she should be some saint or something? Or she’s wearing a neutral white because the fight is about accessories now?
And a little extra – when the first rumors about this fall winter Louis Vuitton campaign emerged, there was something about Laetitia Casta. I shared my thoughts with you and what I got in return was a dishonest ripoff of my article. I accidentally found it posted on tfs and when reading it I was tempted to believe my brain has hardly worked into deceiving me and brought me to write something that was already publicized by someone else.. The thing is…me wrote that article one tiny little itsy-bitsy day before it was teleported in this “magazine”. Long live internet and the “getting-away-with-everything” attitude!

Crossing Lines, Sharing Smiles
July 6th, 2008 by kpriss
One little snail, two little snails, three little snails going to the grocery store one fine Sunday morning.
“Hey, who gets there last, will carry the bags all the way back home! And it’s a long three days ride, you know!”. What more reason to smile than this gorgeous black and white picture of three snails peacefully making their slow daywalk? Simple and stunning. Have you seen something similar before?

Charlize Theron UK Elle August 2008
July 6th, 2008 by kpriss
I thought you can’t get a blonde to look this good surrounded by so many non-colors.
The white Louis Vuitton was actually presented on the fall-winter 2008-2009 ready to wear catwalk in the same color as this Elle’s cover. Structural enough to only enhance Charlize’s regular shapes and get everything in a stylish minimalist mood. I definitely like this cover. Do you?(you can see the rest of the pictures after the jump)
