Wonderbra Presents The Science Of Sexy By Dita Von Teese

The new Wonderbra ad campaign with Dita Von Teese is brilliant. At least to me. It started like a techno video with a girl in a laboratory and continued with a fantasy.

I know many dislike Dita because of her line of work. I like her. I think she invests herself tremendously in what she does, she created an image for herself and she has to stand up to that. Being mostly retro, this Wonderbra ad escapes the ridiculous by filling your eyes with an obvious fantasy where Dita is not the main character. The main character is being attractive, being feminine and sexy, just like the slogan says “The Science of Sexy”. How do you feel about this ad?

Jaeger LeCoultre Presents Le Lierre Collection

I loved Jaeger LeCoultre for its incredibly slick and feminine timepieces. I loved them even more when they chose Diane Kruger as their spokeface.

Now I’m looking at this …. piece for two days already and I haven’t the slightest idea how to react. No doubt there was a lot of work involved (1,300 hours of gem-setting), it looks incredible, but it’s too green and blingy to attract me. It’s like wearing a piece of the enchanted wood on my wrist and even if it sounds beautiful, I still get the creeps. The ivy leaves are made of gold and tendrils too. The gems (tsavorites, yellow sapphires, emeralds yellow diamond) add to the beauty and cost of this piece. Because if you thought you could try it on and see if you get the same creeps as I did, think again – the enchanted wood on your wrist costs $4,3 million. There’s not just the watch in that money – there’s also a ring, a bracelet and a necklace. How does it look to you (price aside)? (don’t miss the picture with the entire collection right after the jump!)

Emma Watson Pictures From Vogue Italy October 2008

Emma Watson’s model moment for Vogue Italia is beautiful yet so sad. The photos were taken by Mark Selinger and Emma herself confessed that he pushed her to give the best in the photo shoot so she didn’t get any special treatment.

At least that’s the official story! Anyway, the girl has her ways with fashion and the 2007 InStyle pictorial was proof enough! The photos look rather dark and even if she smiles here and there, it doesn’t make up for the picture where she’s holding the doll, where she’s up on the window, where she’s near the lake. Otherwise she looks every inch the smart girl she is, bonus her beauty. You take a look at the pictures and tell me what she looks like and what’s the feeling you get from the images! Would You Wear The Wexford Secret Garden Ring?

If you see this ring for the first time, you’ll see nothing unusual. Maybe you’ll see some reflections in the stone, maybe you’ll think that the stone is rather bizarre or simply worn-out.

But the truth is that this ring bears a little treasure inside. Now you’re curious? Look closer, what you see “wrong” with the stone is actually inside the stone! (and no, it’s not dirt!) You see trees? Flowers? Rocks? There’s nothing wrong with your eyes, it’s all inside the stone! What kind of stone is that, you’ll ask (I hope!) – it’s called moss agate. It’s all mounted in sterling silver and comes with a three figures price tag ($278). I wouldn’t mind having a window on my finger, would you?

The Safety Jacket By Colette x Gap

If Karl picks on anything, it instantly becomes a smashing fashion hit. Such (I believe) it was the case with the Safety Jacket.

Ugly and yellow, not matching anything, the Safety Jacket got reinterpreted by Colette and Gap. It comes with matching yellow pouch. Both are printed with designs signed by Florence Deygas. I know I have a safety jacket in my car so I don’t see the use of getting a spare one, even if it’s signed by Colette and Gap (or advertised by Karl Lagerfeld). Would you buy an extra Colette one?

Speedtalking Without Moderation

Karl, the Kaiser is well known for his Pepsi Max passion. In a recent interview from Times he admitted to something most of us are afraid to shout out loud. But the Kaiser can mock at himself, it’s so chic! (standing ovations!)

The thing was, everyone’s questioning how he can design Chanel, Fendi and his own collections every year when others are tired after one season’s catwalk! So, naturally, his Pepsi Max was pointed as the caffeine overload causing all his verve. Hence his fast talking, right?

No, with the stupid things I say I can’t take my time.

…said the Kaiser, carrying on his ramblings. Beautiful, isn’t it? We were right all along!

Heelarious – Baby Girls First High Heels!

When I told you about Beyonce’s Dereon Junior advertising adventure I never thought I’d be stumbling across this.

High heels shoes for 0-6 months old girls! Doesn’t this scratch your ears? Little children have very delicate bones structure. I know, babies aren’t walking at 6 mths of age and high heels are an undisputed trend these years but I still think it’s an educational disaster. Pimping children and make them wear grown up clothes (and shoes) is beyond fashion disastrous, it’s overall catastrophic. What next? High heels for dogs?
