Shoes will always raise pulses. If associated with movie stars, shoes become so much more than just shoes! They become the “shoes of…” and the “shoes worn by…”, their life of vulgarity and anonymity makes room to a live of spotlight and endless exhibitions and neverending “wows”!
If you have the chance to be in Madrid these days, up until October 29 there will be a special exhibition in relation with the Film Festival October Short. It’s “Zapatos Rodados”! Shoes worn by stars in the movies! And not just any star! You can see the shoes worn by Penelope Cruz or Marilyn Monroe. Or James Dean.

I sometimes ask how far will they go for a certain product when advertising involved. Creativity knows no boundaries, nor shall advertising.
What’s even more impressive to watch, is the physical (by that I mean technical) possibilities to boldly go where no one has gone before. To achieve stunning effects and breathtaking results. Another campaign for a world renowned sportswear brand that doesn’t necessarily connect you with their product as such.
It doesn’t have to be the world’s greatest commercial or the most innovative, it just has to find that switch in you, the one that makes you turn towards their product and not the competition’s. And this “branding the principles” seems to be one of the heaviest tendencies in advertising lately. Take a look. Could it work with you?

Easy Like a Couple Of Zebra Finches!

When I found these two cuties, I also found that they were called Zebra Finches and that they come from Australia.
Nothing extraordinary, except for one little detail that got this story so close to my heart and perfectly suited for an easy moment – it’s said that when the Zebra Finches form a couple, they don’t break up anymore. They make plenty little baby Zebras and live happily ever after with their baby Zebras who grow up eventually and have little baby Zebras too! And so on, and so on! It’s like a Shrek tale! There she goes again! Our favorite Shoe’xtremist, Victoria Beckham stepping up in Rodarte Fall 2008.
The shoes from Rodarte FW 2008 were designed by Christian Louboutin, the Master of Red Soles. Beautiful shoes. Gorgeous shoes. Killer heels. There’s just one thing bugging me… I may be the only one doing this, but when I walk in high heels (very high heels), I have this persistent high-heel-step-failure happening every now and then – when I take a step, my shoes touch each other. I wonder how I’d manage with a pair of Rodarte – Louboutins like Victoria’s! Oh, did I say how much I like those shoes? I like them so much, I just had to make another picture showing them! Was worried the world’s population wasn’t the global warming, wasn’t the financial troubles!
