Prepare Yourself For The Revolutionary BagTV!
January 6th, 2009 by kpriss
I heard and shared news about glowing handbags so you could easily find your ways in and about, smart phones ready to broadcast the latest fashion shows just for you, but this?
The BagTV. The TVBag. A handbag with a 7inch TV screen (DVD and Mpeg player) behind a protective transparent shield for appx $400. You can use the full USB/SD connectivity to download your films or videos with 2,5 hours battery life. I don’t know if it’ll be a success, but it surely is one step further in the being techy but truly fashionable. I just think it should’ve be more discreet since it’s a sure target for muggers. Would you get yourself a BagTV or would you just wait for the technology transplant on a Louis Vuitton?

Who Could Wear The Roberto Coin Golden Bustier?
January 5th, 2009 by kpriss
I don’t know what your outfit was for this New Year’s party, but if only you knew earlier, I bet you would’ve made this very special bustier your dream piece for the night!
This yellow bustier is no ordinary creation! Made of yellow gold adorned with brown diamonds and golden pearl looks cut right out from an early nineties story. I like a discreet retro touch but this is too much. If the latest financial reports from Manhattan say right, then Katie Holmes is the one to buy this kind of product. First it’s unfit, unaesthetic and unfashionable enough for her to like it and second – it’s just the price range she grew accustomed to in NY (whoever spends $20million in six months could make good use of a golden bustier paved with brown diamonds and golden pearl!). So could we say that this Roberto Coin would perfectly suit Katie Holmes?
Kevin Federline Otzi Collection For Kids
January 5th, 2009 by kpriss
I guess much has happened since I haven’t covered the celeb-turned-designer front! Because here I was, hoping this was a perfectly quiet Monday, a great way to start a new week and bam! I got struck by lightning!
Kevin Federline will design (wait, what?) Otzi, his own line of clothes for children! The father of four is really committed to starting his own fashion revolution for kids. Not that I see it as a bad market to exercise your designer skills (that is, of course, if you had any), but I can’t understand how this could actually work. Besides his obvious partying ways and baggy jeans, I doubt there’s anything else to know about this guy’s talents. Oh, I forgot – he’s also famous for his constant court-battles for Britney’s money (saying he only cares about the welfare of his kids). Do I see this Otzi-design story the wrong way? More Madonna For LV Spring Summer 2009!
January 4th, 2009 by kpriss
I hope they don’t have too many of these… Because they’ll make me see the joyous Spring Summer 2009 as a dusty fall. Dawn of days. Something to wear on Earth’s last party!
There’s something so Armageddon-ish in these photos I just can’t get over it and move on to the clothes or the accessories. I wonder if it’s Madonna, Photoshop, the location, the light, Louis Vuitton or simply all together in an impossibly to digest grey-ish mix. I’m fully aware of her Madgesty icon-status, but why is the Fashion World forced to swallow her Botox-ed ways and her perturbing stubbornness to perform. In any way? (ah, and of course Marc Jacobs, the genius who put all this to work isn’t the one to blame, right? He’s still high up on his pedestal, still acclaimed by the same Fashion World who’s utterly fed up with her Madgesty!) (photos via ontdff)

January 4th, 2009 by kpriss
Now you already know every Sunday calls for an Easy Moment. Some Moments don’t make it until Monday, but now it’s different! Sometimes, special occasions call for special celebrations. Having a special dinner could be a tricky thing…set your expectations high. Very high. Literally!
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this picture! And I’d even go completely adventurous and say that it’s a real one! A real dinner in the sky! I don’t know who and why did this, but it surely is impressive! If given the occasion, would your rather be a spectator or a participant? (photo via pixdaus)

Make A Difference – Wear Eco Boots, Recycled Plastic Bags!
January 3rd, 2009 by kpriss
Plastic bags are a serious environmental nuisance and if we don’t care enough to make a difference, things will go in a nasty direction. Some of us already started putting their imagination to work and create new ways to reuse and recycle.
Such is the case for these green wonders – Dacca or Dhaka, named after Bangladesh’s capital (one of world’s most plastic-bags-polluted cities), these booties are made of recycled plastic bags by the young Chilean industrial design student Camila Labra. Several layers of plastic bags fused together make the thick impermeable exterior material. The interior is made of quilted pique cotton. Sold for $45 these could start a serious eco-revolution if only people would be more aware and ecoconscious. How long till we actually start doing something to help the world? (via)
Daisy Lowe For Marc By Marc Jacobs Spring Summer 2009 Advertising Campaign
January 3rd, 2009 by kpriss
Everyone talked about it, everyone was impatient to see her. Now here she goes – Daisy Lowe for Marc By Marc Jacobs Spring Summer 2009 Ad campaign. Only one photo was released so far, but it’s enough to see where things are going under Juergen Teller’s lens.
I can’t say I miss the last BrianBoy-ish ad campaign with skirts and bows, but I don’t feel too enthusiast about this one either. Marc loves telling stories one way or the other, but this bed sheet story, me don’t like it. Cliché, tired, this kind of pose seems to be a designers favorite these days. Don’t you just miss Posh? Cate Blanchett Vanity Fair February 2009 Vs. Vogue December 2004
January 3rd, 2009 by kpriss
My beloved lady, Cate Blanchett looks every inch a royalty on the cover of the new Vanity Fair February 2009! (can you believe we’re already talking about February Magazines? Time just flies by!)
What’s interesting is that these photos, taken by the oh-so-famous and epic photographer Annie Leibovitz look so similar to a previous photo session of these two wonderful women for Vogue December 2004. Coincidence or lack of inspiration, the similar pictures don’t diminish Cate’s charm or Annie’s talent. Who are we to say how much work they’re supposed to put in a magazine shoot after the Holidays? (don’t miss the rest of the pictures right after the jump)
