Behold The New Living Cells Doll!

This isn’t your regular fashion/style article, you’re right, it’s just another one of those Easy Like Sunday Moments!

Only this time, it’s one that should make us stop and think for a moment. Think about where we’re headed with this kind of technology in our hands!

At the University of Tokyo, researchers from the Institute of Industrial Science have created a doll composed of living cells! The doll is only 5 millimeters tall, but the achievement is nonetheless gigantic!

The formation was molded in a doll shape and it’s made of 100,000 cell capsules (balls of collagen coated with skin cells). It can be mold in any other shape and it’s a possible breakthrough in creating regenerative medicine.

Serena Williams And Her $12 American Apparel Bag

The world was taken by surprise when Serena Williams declared she was wearing a $12 bag from American Apparel.

Everyone famous, everyone with 8-figures cash-ins should be spending money on bags, shoes, clothes and whatever-else-expensive.

Well done for her! She sets an example on how we should all approach our existence and consumerism ways! Do you think you should cut back in fashion while in economic crisis? (via)

Kanye West Sneakers Collection For Louis Vuitton

It seems Louis Vuitton is going more and more for the Hollywood walk of fame idea of business rather than walking the fashion and style alley.

Witnessing more and more celebs featuring in the Louis Vuitton gallery, today it’s Kanye West’s turn to take the spotlight. Not with his singing. With the sneakers he designed (?!) for LV. Five of them.

Really proud about it and flashing his new shoes out and about, Kanye took the time posing alongside Marc Jacobs, showing their new shoe-do. The red way. At the (Men) Fashion week. (don’t miss the gallery right after the jump)

Dare To Wear PET Jewelry By Gulnur Ozdaglar?

In order to get used to the ecoattitude, I’ll look for (and keep you posted with) more and surprising ways to help the environment and make our fashionable yet so healthy contribution.

This time it’s about jewelry. Surprising, ethereal, daring, these stunning pieces are made from used PET bottles! You know the kind – the nuisance plastic bottles you find everywhere.

Only this time they’re so cleverly manoeuvered and transformed to reintegrate our lives I’d really think twice before throwing yet another PET. (more images after the jump)

MCQ McQeen Alexander McQueen For Target 2009

The Collection signed by Alexander McQueen for Target, called MCQ for Target is officially out. For your eyes delight and talking after, here come the models:

I’m not as impressed as I wanted to be and I feel a sincere disappointment at the sight of leggings and skinny, still going strong, even after McQueen. I’m one of those old fashioned people who think rock’n’roll (attitude) isn’t just about black, skinny and leggings.

Other than that, even if it was announced so, I was hoping to find more color in this collection. Instead, just by looking at it, I get the most strangest feeling that these are clothes made for some next generation sci fi movie with high school teenagers. (more images after the jump)

Blogaround The Clock!

Just imagine this week’s blogaround is a day of your life. With breakfast, lunch, dinner and (relaxing) after hours. Enjoy your blogaroun’day!

For breakfast you have to start the day with a smile so you might want to check out some funny fur boots (doesn’t that remind you of the Tom Ford furrrrbootie?) …

Pete Wentz black fur boots For lunch you could consider a touch of Vogue with a huge plate decrypting the scandalous rumor about Anna Wintour being kicked off her kingdom. To sweeten up your rumors digestion, have a Roberto Cavalli bling-gorgeousness!

For dinner do consider a healthy tutorial about spending less and creating more interesting looks with your stock of “alreadypretty” necklaces!

Talking about afterhours: go glamorous with a sparkling jacket like Jessica Alba’s golden sequined blazer and complete your look with a fabulous updo! (photo via thatshideous)

Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista Fighting For DSquared2 Spring Summer 2009 Ads

The nineties super girls, in all their glory! How could you not love this Spring Summer 2009 campaign from DSquared2?

Linda going from Prada to DSquared could have been strange. Only this year, (maybe due to budget cuts) Prada went for a tiles-models-lineup so I have no regrets Linda Evangelista went dueling under Steven Meisel’s lens. Her fighting Naomi has a special kind of fashion drama I could stare at for hours! (isn’t it strange to see the temperamental Naomi Campbell in such defensive positions with such calm on her face?)

Besides the obvious smart black and a white girl – contract, do you think the fashion-violence mélange is a safe one? (photos via fotodecadent)
