The Collection signed by Alexander McQueen for Target, called MCQ for Target is officially out. For your eyes delight and talking after, here come the models:
I’m not as impressed as I wanted to be and I feel a sincere disappointment at the sight of leggings and skinny, still going strong, even after McQueen. I’m one of those old fashioned people who think rock’n’roll (attitude) isn’t just about black, skinny and leggings.
Other than that, even if it was announced so, I was hoping to find more color in this collection. Instead, just by looking at it, I get the most strangest feeling that these are clothes made for some next generation sci fi movie with high school teenagers. (more images after the jump)
There’s nothing truly original and break-through-ish in these designs. Even if I like the dresses and I completely love the white men-like shirt worn as a dress, I believe something’s missing here… How do you find MCQ for Target?
I don’t mind the dresses, they are pleasant, but I did not think that MCQ would put out his most creative and fashionfantastic designs for Target.
He fulfilled his agreement with them to do something for them and they get his big designer name on affordable clothes.
That was easy money for Mr. McQ, not impressed either.
As for ‘rock n’ roll’ its so much more than a look or/and a attitude to me its all about the music that fills my heart and soul…..
Not to mention that it is impossible to find! I’ve searched 4 different stores all over the state, and the dept workers haven’t even heard of it, which is funny since it was supposed to be in stores yesterday! Plus the one thing I really want(the grey studded jacket) is already sold out entirely. Grrrrr
