Yesterday, two legends opened the road for September Magazines! Here goes Vogue UK with none the other but Kate Moss! You didn’t thought she was going to lay that Brigitte Bardot thing to rest, now did you?

Heavy eyeliner, blonde bouffant above the shoulder locks, neutral, slightly pink nuanced lip gloss, Kate Moss proudly shows her freckles and a slightly changed face structure for this Vogue September cover. (yes, you heard that right, she only has the cover!) Is it just me or there’s something strange with her prune.. ahem mouth? From all things bad, I have to admit Kate Moss looks just as beautiful as ever, fashion’s safest choice! How do you like Vogue UK September 2009? I remember how impressed I was last year about Julianne Moore’s Vogue Paris cover! Totally unexpected and simply beautiful, it’s one of my favorite covers ever. Now I look at this Vogue UK July 2009 cover with the very same resplendissant Julianne Moore and the only thing that bugs me is the much too obvious fall air.

I know everything’s upside down in fashion world and when we, ordinary people of the world live in the summertime, it’s high winter in fashion or the other way around, but isn’t it summerish in the UK this time of the year? (more pictures after the jump!)

Body Talk doesn’t necessarily require a body, but specifically demands people willing to talk about (their) body. Vogue UK, however, decided it should help everyone (men or women) talk about their bodies. By using Natalia Vodianova’s clothes-less body for their June 2009 cover.

A typical Mario Testino, Natalia’s picture is hardly unnatural and despite my case of Vodianova-allergy (due to her overexposure in magazines and social events), I have a positive feeling about this cover. It’s that time of the month when we review the upcoming issues from our favorite magazines. Because we can, and because it’s worth talking about these absolutely superficial, completely stylish and decadently fashionable magazines!

After that magic December issue, Vogue UK starts the New Year showing the unexpectedly fresh attitude of a regal face: Cate Blanchett. As I’ve said it before, I like Cate. Her versatility, her art of being natural and almost shy, discrete and so impossible to overlook. It’s not an issue meant to sweep you off your feet. I’d say it’s more a quiet, tranquil and pleasant issue, perfect for the Holidays hangover. After that Fashion Fantastic December UK Vogue, this January 2009 comes like a disappointment?
