It has been almost a week now since dubious taste headlines implying Claudia Schiffer is still in shape for a Vogue cover even if she’s 38 years old poison the Internet.
Not everyone believes that being in your late 30s, having had two kids also enables one to maintain your figure and justifies showing her beautiful face/body. Wearing the Versace darling dress, the same one highlighted by Gwyneth Paltrow not long back, Claudia’s cover photo isn’t her best angle. I have to admit I loved her Hermes poncho picture more! Even the Louis Vuitton little black dress was more inviting for a cover than the actual cover!
But more than all the other pictures or her Pilates and Yoga salad interview, Claudia Schiffer stirred the spirits with that Balmain’s Christophe Decarnin denim military vest. Because she dares doing a Moss on us without being explicit about it and baring it all just like La Moss, Claudia was blasted by the fashion audience with a “wears nothing but a military jacket, ripped jeans and a cap”. Jeans with a jacket and a cap sums up quite an outfit in my opinion, how that end up being called “nothing but” it’s hard to understand, isn’t it? (photos via tfs)

Yes, I believe there’s this absurd idea the last decade that women above 30 are old and saggy because of motherhood and therefore done! This is not really what we women are in need for. We are in need for a new kind off feminism. I’m bloody serious!
Anyway, Claudia looks great. That outfit with the cap and ripped jeans is so 80’s. I don’t like this jeans really. I bet it are very expensive ones and they do not look really worned out, it’s too obvious what they did to make those look old. Hate that!

Claudia looks great! I am beyond tired of the double standard that men have over women in regards of age, wrinkles and weight.
I think as long as you look good and take care of yourself that should be all that matters.
I do like the silver dress she is wearing its cute but the photo is just ok. Her 80’s photo is kinda nifty looking but I don’t like the outfit.
Claudia Schiffer looks great at 38! I enjoy seeing that after all these years the true supermodels of the past still look great.Some of them look better than the younger models.I wonder which of these younger models will be on magazine covers when their in their late 30’s.
I like seeing models on the cover of fashion magazines whatever their age than actresses.Thank you Vogue UK and other magazines for having models on their covers for a change.
