Gaspard Ulliel’s Bleu De Chanel Ad Campaign By Martin Scorsese
September 2nd, 2010 by kpriss
Have you seen Chanel’s latest perfume ad campaign? It’s Bleu de Chanel, a perfume for men. The video is truly a masterpiece of the new fashmovie genre, starring Gaspard Ulliel and directed by the great Martin Scorsese.
I’d like you to watch the ad first and then tell me what you make of it! I’ll take you on a making of journey, right after the jump, where, in four pieces, you’ll be able to see this entire Bleu de Chanel puzzle come together.

Today’s Most Beautiful And Surprising Wedding Invitation
September 2nd, 2010 by kpriss
What’s the most beautiful and/or surprising wedding invitation you’ve ever laid your eyes on? I think I found one that really amazed me and I’m sharing. It’s really stunning!
We had ours on old fashioned paper, with cute, funny drawings, the classic way! However, I do admire those who go unconventional (for their wedding and more) and make something as special as these handkerchiefs with directions to the location plus the unexpected packaging saying that Youngna and Jacob are getting married! Congrats to the happy couple and thank you for having shared your wonderful invitations with the world! Aren’t they just wonderful? (Youngna via)
Alessandra Ambrosio, Jesus Luz For Chenson Ad Campaign
September 1st, 2010 by kpriss
Now let’s get few facts straight from the very start: we’re all familiar with Alessandra Ambrosio’s angel status and her appeal to the fash masses (or non fash masses). And we’re all familiar with Jesus Luz and his boytoy status (Madonna, anyone?).
Once we’ve had those clear images in our heads, let’s put the two together and we’ll get the Chenson Temptation ad campaign (don’t feel alarmed if you’re not familiar with the brand – it’s a Brazilian label). Temptation? I think a frozen swamp looks more tempting than these two. Appeal? I think a greasy pan has more appeal than these two. Chemistry? Anna Wintour coupling up with Carine Roitfeld would be like 4th of July firecrackers next to these two. I feel bad for all those gorgeous red apples they’ve got there. Jesus will make them all fade away with one of his unforgiving sensual looks! At least Alessandra is trying. Right? (don’t miss the rest of the images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!) (Chenson via)
Heavy Chain Curtain Sandals
September 1st, 2010 by kpriss
Though the sandals season is almost over, I though I’d give these chain sandals another chance. Last we talked about chains curtains, there was this gorgeous DIY thing which I heavily recommend for increasing your fash-ego and bust your style-energy.
Now let’s take a look at these sandals by Tania Spinelli for Jen Kao. While looking all heavy and rock-ish, they also provide a new diy challenge I’d love to pick up and turn into wearable, affordable reality. Doesn’t this look like quite a statement piece to reinforce your city warrior wardrobe? (photo via)
Lindsay Lohan’s Vanity Fair October 2010
September 1st, 2010 by kpriss
Magazines love a good tragedy, don’t they? Any kind of media does. Tragedy sells. It’s that Big Brother complex we’ve developed over the years: we’re not happy with fabricated drama (written fiction, movies), we want to witnessed it with our very own eyes. We’re fully allowing reality shows to reign the world.
Lindsay Lohan’s Vanity Fair October 2010 comes right on time, undoubtedly carefully planned by editors and publishers. Lindsay was just released from jail / rehab and she’s planning a rebound for her personal and professional life. Or so we all hope. Because she’s young, she’s pretty and so she deserves it. (the story continues right after the jump with a behind the scenes video)

Nutritionist Juice To Slim You Down And Pump You Up
September 1st, 2010 by kpriss
Do you believe in magic? It’s a cheesy line, pretty hard to digest, especially when we’re talking diet while boosting your daily energy, in one simple slogan: drink Genesis Today juices!
Remember when we mentioned Marc Jacobs’ special diet and how much it has helped him go from the alarming stages of too – much – body – fat to taking off his clothes for almost every picture just to show how fit he is? Well, he also mentioned a doctor was responsible for this entire process: Dr. Lindsey Duncan. He’s no stranger to the stars (having guided Demi Moore and Sharon Stone through the magic process of good eating/drinking) so he decided to make a business out of it. For the rest of us, mere mortals, to have a chance at detoxing and boosting just like every other star out there.
So do these Liquid Supplements actually work? You are the only one who can tell. If you decide to try them out, wave out to us and share your experience. Good or bad. First of all please carefully note that there is no magic solution to slim you down and make your energy full. Starbucks included. Now tell me what you really think about this kind of dietary solutions! (Genesis Today via)
Anne Hathaway’s New Short Haircut
September 1st, 2010 by kpriss
Have you ever fancied of cutting off all your long locks and braving a new short cropped hair just… because? I know I did. (past tense – now my hair is just struggling to hang on pregnancy after pregnancy – I feel lucky to have such stubborn hair, really, so I’ll just let it be, no chop – chop, no crop – crop. Just be!)
There’s some radical hair thing in the air right now – one quick look at Emma Watson’s new haircut suffice to say that Anne Hathaway’s new short haircut falls in the trends of the hair brave. I think it’s very becoming and suits her like a magic glove. What say you? (photos via 1, 2)

Bono, Ali Hewson Louis Vuitton Core Values Ad Campaign
September 1st, 2010 by kpriss
Rock’n’roll helps selling fashion, doesn’t it? Why else would they constantly associate rock’n’roll figures with luxury goods? Especially in the LVMH perspective: take their latest Core Values campaign for Louis Vuitton (by Annie Leibovitz, toujours).
There’s Bono and his wife, Ali Hewson in it! Together, apparently having had landed in South Africa (with the tagline “Every Journey began in Africa”). And get this: they’re not wearing Louis Vuitton! Oh, no! They’re wearing Edun – the ethical clothing label they founded in 2005 (which was bought in proportion of 49% by LVMH last year). Would that be a desperate move to make Edun profitable? (via)
