Beyonce Is GQ’s Sexiest Woman Of The Century!
January 9th, 2013 by kpriss
Interrupting our beauty sleep in preparation for this night’s first 2013 Red Carpet event (that’s People’s Choice Awards, in case you’re wondering…) for a special news bulletin: GQ put Beyonce on top of their ‘100 sexiest women of the 21st century’ list.
And on their February 2013 cover as well, according to a recently Twitter – viral cover leak.
It’s a great cover, honestly, and I cross my fingers for it not to have been photographed by Uncle Terry (looks like his style a bit, doesn’t it?). And she sure looks all kinds of hot in this barely surfaced image!
Also – congrats to Beyonce for her newly received title. You just can’t have too many (titles. Or covers)!
Oh, and talking about 2013 events: the second Inauguration ball is taking place January 21st 2013 with, traditionally, Beyonce singing. The National Anthem!

Emma Watson Vs Heidi Klum, Marie Claire February 2013 Cover Stars
January 8th, 2013 by kpriss
Now that’s interesting – something I haven’t labeled Marie Claire with since that prettier than life Angelina Jolie pictorial (to freshen up your memory, head – on here to see it). Marie Claire US February 2013 chose Heidi Klum as cover star and Marie Claire UK February 2013 went for Emma Watson!
Let’s put them side by side and try a comparison. Just kidding – I won’t compare them, they’re larger than life in their own rights so other than gracing the same month’s Marie Claire cover (but in different editions), I wouldn’t have much to say about the ‘comparing’ matter. Karlie Kloss Hits The Beach For Juicy’s Couture La La Perfume Commercial
January 8th, 2013 by kpriss
When news about Karlie Kloss being the spokesface of Juicy Couture’s ad campaigns emerged, I was really surprised. I just couldn’t picture Karlie as a Juicy girl. Although she’s quintessentially American and even has a real personality to sustain her modeling work, she didn’t strike me as a Juicy Couture girl.
But Juicy responsibles clearly don’t share my vision on Karlie as she’s furthermore campaigning for the brand in the Couture La La Perfume commercial. Life’s a beach, for the young fashion population and Juicy Couture will definitely capitalize on that. With a little artistic help from Inez & Vinoodh, Karlie Kloss is the pink princess of the beach, emerging from the waves with a ginormous bottle of perfume. Juicy mermaid, that’s what she is! (and if you don’t believe me, all you need is hit the jump and you’ll see for yourself in the perfume’s commercial!)
Raquel Zimmermann’s Weird Hair: Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2013 Ads
January 8th, 2013 by kpriss
It’s been a while since I last saw Raquel Zimmermann in an ad campaign. And I would’ve actually enjoyed seeing her in Salvatore Ferragamo’s Spring 2013 ad campaign if it wasn’t for the weird styling…
David Sims photographed Raquel in what seems to be a natural wheat backdrop, with her hair blowing in the wind. Speaking of which – how is that hair any stylish? If I would ever go out with my hair like that (well, that was before the ‘big cut’ – now I don’t have that mane anymore – but I cut my hair, 80% of the time it really looked like Raquel’s here), I’d get all kinds of ‘whaaaa?’ reactions.
Whitewashed Malgosia Bela In Alexander Wang Spring 2013 Ad Campaign
January 7th, 2013 by kpriss
Talking about Love magazine: Alexander Wang’s Spring 2013 ad campaign is breaking into fashion magazines these upcoming months. Only it looks so artsy, it should come with a decryption key. Some kind of code crack for us, normal people to make some fashion sense out of it!
I expected some modern stuff, but this? Alexander Wang’s aesthetic, in my perception, is so much about the modern individual, about the active, artsy side of fashion, that it has become a perfect illustration of the ‘less is more’ philosophy. However, Malgosia Bela photographed by Steven Klein in a statuesque manner leaves little to fashion imagination.
Actually – it doesn’t even highlight the brand’s clothes. And the fact that Wang has previously worked with singer Azealia Banks doesn’t justify the odd whitewashing of this Spring 2013 campaign. I’m just hoping that the will be more images or a video to follow and that they’ll become more clothes – full and less alienesques.
Forget Herve Leger, Try Amber Rose’s Jeremy Scott Keyboard Dress!
January 7th, 2013 by kpriss
Remember there was a time when Herve Leger’s Rainbow Bandage dress was de rigueur for Red Carpet events and other fancy occasions? Well, you can forget all about that and try your hand at the new bandage dress: Jeremy Scott’s Rainbow keyboard dress!
Now don’t give me that look! I know I’m giving you Amber Rose as an example, but look at this this way: Amber is a forthcoming fashion individual who has repeatedly showed everyone in the past that she’s not afraid of taking style risks. Some of them (okay, most of them) have been flops, but this one has all the right notes to be a fashion hit! Even with all that impressive pregnant belly!

Saskia De Brauw Laughing For Katie Grand’s Hogan Collection
January 7th, 2013 by kpriss
If you’re not living in Italy – or at least Europe, chances are the ‘Hogan’ brand won’t sound the least familiar to your fashionable ears. However, Hogan is pretty much like Italy’s Converse. They’re so big that even Karl Lagerfeld created for them.
But who didn’t Karl Lagerfeld create for? This time, Hogan collaborated with Katie Grand who took a break from her mighty Love editorial duties and sketched some sneakers, ballet flats and bags for the Italian label. I don’t know about you, but I really like some of the designs! And what I like the most is that Saskia De Brauw is laughing in the collaboration’s lookbook. And she’s so charmingly unrecognizable! Take a look for yourself after the jump!
Sailor Moon, Daria, Betty Boop Wearing Prada & More High Fashion
January 7th, 2013 by kpriss
We talked about classic Disney Princesses updating their wardrobe, so why not get a dash of Haute Fashion for classic Manga characters as well? I loved Sailor Moon and it was definitely the answer to any wardrobe dilemma.
Actually, magic can be the answer to pretty much any dilemma, but that’s another story altogether. For now, I’d like us all to concentrate on Sailor Mars, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Moon, Sailor Venus, Sailor Jupiter and their cartoon – sisters Daria, Jem, Princcess Bubblegum and Betty Boop. They’ve all been through a serious makeover process with clothes from the latest collections: Prada, Givenchy, Alaia, Balenciaga and more offered their inspiration to the crayon born little ladies.
