Lace must be in your wardrobe this season! White is de rigueur for the hot season anyway, so you just need to make it sheer. Add some lace sneakers or flat laced shoes and you’ve got yourself a straight-out-of-the-catwalk look – remember Dior and Chanel Haute Couture?
Fashion shows are just the starting point for the wardrobe inspiration we thrive on season after season. Lately, I found that street style is sometimes a stronger input for style ideas and such is the case with Rihanna who was recently spotted in an all-white outfit (save for singular color splash you can easily notice underneath her see-through lace skirt).
Granted, we rarely feel the need to wear so little just to dine out, but the Good Girl Gone Bad, Riri, is such a teaser, she can’t afford an outing without makes waves of proverbial ink follow her trail. After all, that’s why the Council of Fashion Designers of America picked her as the recipient of the ‘Fashion Icon’ 2014 Award (the actual ceremony is scheduled for June 2nd 2014)!

Going up, Rihanna is wearing a pair of white lace oxfords from Givenchy paired with a transparent plastic skirt embroidered with white lace flowers from the 27-year old Dublin designer Simone Rocha, a white Lady Dior handbag embroidered with badges.

The lace shoes/oxfords are so in right now that you can even buy a pair at H&M for under $20 (or just go with the DIY flow and make your own fashionable flats) whereas Rihanna’s Givenchy studded oxfords cost almost $1,300 and the Rocha skirt around $1,700. You can get a similar lace white skirt from Forever21 just under $30. And for that price, your skirt is fully lined – not like Rihanna’s see-through plastic skirt – poor thing is paying so much for couture items, she doesn’t even get her clothes properly lined!

Or use your grandma’s tablecloth for the skirt and DIY. The prices are ridiculous including H&M’s since we know how why their stuff is that cheap.
<3 Adriana <3 2014 seems to be a revealing year <3
their ads look so glamorous all the time, just like Gap's and I always end up disappointed when I touch the fabric and see the way they hang... Basic items look better than the ones from the 'latest trends collections' - I discovered Mango has surprisingly qualitative clothes - too bad they use so much poly and plastic fiber!
I made a mistake! I said Gap but I meant G-Raw and ended up with the decision, I gonna take a peek in the thrift stores. One is really stylish, let’s see what I find there? I’m not really a jeans person. Once I was until everyone was wearing denim. I don’t care much my jeans are not the latest fashion. I am not a fashion s!ave after all. :)
I was literally immersed in G-Raw the other day! Just scrolling up and down and finding one word to describe ‘flawless’ I like the attitude and the clothes. Can’t wait – if you do find something you like – for your opinion on the wearing experience…
