I thought I’d give you this Halloween-ish treat today. As long as we’re in the proximity of this fantastic celebration, it won’t seem like a strange creation. I hope.
It’s a watch. A wristwatch. Unlike any other you’ve seen before. It looks more like a jewelry piece than a watch, which isn’t all that rare, unless you see the actual thing. Jewelry Machine was made by Boucheron and MB&F (Maximilian Büsser and Friends) using amethyst, diamonds, quartz, sapphires and white gold. The owl shape could trick you, but remember, it’s all in the eyes: the hours and minutes are indicated by the owl’s eyes. I have to admit, it’s an amazing piece of extraordinary talent and even if I wouldn’t care for wearing such a statement watch, I feel enchanted by the shape and the idea of this JwlryMachine. What say you? (this exquisite Jwlry Machine is Boucheron’s take on MBANDF’s HM3 Starcruiser watch – you can see it here) (mbandf via)
