Kate Moss Pictures by Hedi Slimane for Libération

Woman’s day has got to be special or not at all. Hedi Slimane’s women’s special is Kate Moss. Even if you’re not Kate Moss or even closer, I hope you had a great March 8th!

Having a special project with Libération, Hedi Slimane brought along Kate Moss to deliver a breeze of the England’s Rock Stage before taking the pages by storm with his edition.

Angelina Jolie, her Baby Bump, her Tent Dress and her Cooper Tote Outing

I thought Angie was on the right track (at least she was keeping it all simple when she was outing with a black trench, black pants, black shoes, black shades.. mm, black whatever).

Her uber obvious baby bump hidden under yet another tent dress. The world’s boutiques won’t cover her need for tent dresses during this pregnancy! The day I’ll see Ange dressed up with some kind of fashion sense, I’ll say that something happened to the world and surely the global warming is reversible! Anyway, I’m going mild on her, after all she’s a pregnant woman and I love them all. Not too much when they go out wearing a nightgown under a which cape, but who’s looking? We got the best there was in that outfit (besides the ray-bans) – the Cooper Tote by Anya Hindmarch (especially known for her “I’m not a plastic Bag” tote). Like it? (I do. Wish it wasn’t white, but the size matters. And that bag has just the size I need for stuffing kids-toys and whatever else they need for a regular outing plus the mirror-bottom in case I want to flash the paparazzi’s eyes out – just kidding! I’m all flower power ;) ).

AnOther Uma Thurman

Has been some time since I haven’t seen Uma Thurman posing for a magazine. Tabloids aside, she’s quite discreet regarding her personal life.

Another Magazine graces us with an interview of Uma Thurman and a set of beautiful pictures. Not the average fashion photographs, not trying to impress by any couture bravery, just plain Uma (with some heavy makeup or with just bad lightening) and a 4 pages interview.

Virtual Shoe Museum – The Creepy Extreme Section

If you thought you’ve seen it all in fashion and gorgeous and ugly are no strangers to you, well, think again!

The selection below is not from every day life, it’s not even from the catwalk, it comes directly from the Virtual Shoe Museum, from the “Extreme Section”. Some of them are considered funny, some edgy, but neither is plain dull.

How About Some Vintage?

Talking about vintage is never easy. Always controversial, vintage has changed its original meaning referring to wines, to mostly clothes, accessories, anything that goes back a long time and it’s still wearable or usable, especially when its vintage value is skyrocketed by wearability.

Ordinary, some like to call it second hand, some prefer the “vintage” reference because it has a certain ring to it, a fashion-mystery that instantly puts you on a pedestal when in front of an ignorant audience. However, real vintage comes with a heavy tag. And I’m not talking only prices. I’m talking designer signature. Because of this, in time, real vintage-treasure-hunters appeared. They find vintage pieces, recover, reconstruct them and sell them to the highest bitter for the love of cash only.

How to Recognize a Fake Hermès Bag

Authenticity is the key issue when talking big money. Hermès is one of the fashion houses who’s still faithful to the handcraft shift.

A Hermès Bag means lists and years of waiting for your precious ordered luxurious purse. This is one of the reasons why Hermès bags are treasured and vintage-hunted most of all. The problem when wanting to purchase a vintage Hermès is knowing that it’s not a fake. This is how you recognize a real Hermès:
1. check under the strap (usually the one on the right when looking at the bag) and there you should find a blind stamp, a marking in a circle or square with the year when the bag was produced. Hermès uses a special alphabet – “numbering” – for instance, we’re currently in the year L (2008). Next to this stamp there should be a craftsman ID. If you checked this strap and find the above markings there’s no reason to jump for joy yet because there are many fake Hermès bags with these signs (counterfeiting is always improving).

Bling Atrocity is Getting on my Nerves!

I count myself amongst those who think about products in the most strict way possible – meaning my car is my locomotion facility helping me transport me and everything I need from one place to another. No shrine, no overwhelming glory involved so go that far as matching my car and my purse.

I’m sure you’ve seen (I’ll stick to cars because I started discussing this issue, I won’t change with, let’s say, coffee machines – for one because I don’t drink coffee and for two because I wanted to talk about that car frenzy for quite some time now) that cars just like any other fashion trend, get categorized after brand, model, color. The latest (from what I’ve seen) is (big) white cars.

Swarovski Blings The Culture with Opera Glasses Citrine

Culture’s getting a “let it bling over me” work! I found these Swarovski Opera Glasses and thought that maybe, just maybe, people will be interested in culture if a little bling is involved.

Sad enough, but true! Swarovski had his hands full in this Opera Glasses story – handcrafted, over 1,300 crystals to intensify your night with 3x zoom, 25mm lens and central focusing. You’d even have a velvet pouch and protection for these $300 Opera Glasses.

So? Is this going to make your Opera soirée more sparkling? Needed them? Happy they thought of something like this to brighten up your view?
