Friday Break – Who You Gonna Call? GhostBusters Theme Song
August 1st, 2008 by kpriss
If something’s strange in the neighborhood, who you gonna call? I remember that song and I remember that movie as being on of the funniest films ever. (and I think the only movie where I enjoyed Bill Murray)
If you’re feeling a little nostalgic and 80s rhymed, enjoy this remember break. If you’re not familiar with GhostBusters.. well.. shame on you! Enjoy it nevertheless! It’s a beautiful song from a legendary film!
Solemates Keep You Out Of Trouble
July 31st, 2008 by kpriss
How many times you found your glamorous high heels stuck in some grate somewhere and took at least five minutes (feeling like an eternity) to get away from the evil spot? I remember a moment like that!
My gorgeous white high heels bridal sandals stuck in a grate just when pictures were taken to immortalize the special occasion. Of course I wasn’t looking where I put my feet (it was really hard with an overwhelming crinoline dress), the bride is supposed to be floating with happiness and consequently so was I! The cruel reality was that the happy bride from cloud number nine was stuck in that grid and couldn’t even get away by myself. Oh well… it’s all gone now, I have just the pictures to remember the long stuck minutes. I imagine that having these sole mates on your heels can keep you out of unwanted grates, headache free. Would you wear something like this?

Katie Holmes Ditches Skinny Jeans For Boyfriend Jeans
July 31st, 2008 by kpriss
Some time has passed since my last Katie Holmes inquiry. Well, she finally did something to worth some style attention.
She ditched the skinny affair and passed on to the next big jeans : those slouchy boyfriend jeans everyone’s adoring. I promise, if this goes on any further, I’ll be having second thoughts about that type of jeans being ugly or disgraceful. I have like a style golden rule (for me): wear (almost) everything a size bigger. It works wonders for my body frame. And even if I was into wide leg, boyfriend jeans ideas flirt heavily with me. Seeing Katie like this, do you think this new type of it jeans will work better than skinny?
Supermodels – A League Of Their Own Vanity Fair September 2008
July 31st, 2008 by kpriss
I was waiting for this. I bet everyone was. And even if the cover doesn’t feature the supermodels, the goodies lay inside.
It’s like a wine getting better with age – the six wonders that not only the connaisseurs appreciate go Vanity Fair in September for our eyes delight. Even if fashion photography doesn’t really embrace the smile as a common used pose, the six supers are all smiling wide in the first picture from the editorial. As much as I would’ve appreciated it, I still find them artificial. The only one with a semi-natural smile is Naomi (more after the jump)
Coco Rocha Nicole Farhi Fall Winter 2008 2009
July 30th, 2008 by kpriss
I wonder if Coco is pulling an Agyness on us! She’s everywhere…and everyone loves her! Coco is growing on me too, but these ads are not!
I know she’s pretty, I agree with the overall enthusiastic note but that’s no excuse for transforming her into a plastic scarecrow. What kind of style comes with this pose? The photographed model looks like she’s cramping her stomach out?! (not to mention she’s dressed with special care from her grandpa’s closet) Where’s the smart marketing in these ads? Charity Wisdom Without Moderation
July 30th, 2008 by kpriss
Of course I was waiting for another Kaiser-ish moment of priceless wisdom to present you! And once the moment arrived, I asked myself if Karl is someone with a ginormous sense of humor or smitten by age, caviar and solitude.
Nonetheless, I ask you the same question – could it be possible, maybe, that Lagerfeld was really a socialite genius and we’re not appreciating his sayings properly? Because his latest wisdom event was revealed to the world when asked by Vanity Fair which cause the Best Dressed List nominees stand for. : “Myself” proudly answered Karl who’s on the Best Dressed List under the saying “Because the Kaiser is wiser”.

The Ankle Purse Dilemma – Bebe Vs Chanel
July 30th, 2008 by kpriss
Remember that Chanel Ankle Purse I thought it was beyond outrageous? Agyness tried to convince us it was uber cool and uber trendy but still didn’t went too far into seducing us.
The idea is appalling in my vision but maybe you think different. And if you do, please don’t hold back! I’d like to know why an ankle purse is stylish… Because it’s spreading, you know? Bebe caught the ankle bug and they made these Maya Three Strap Sandals with Purse attached!
Lauren Hutton Mango Fall 2008 – Supermodels Gone Too Far?
July 30th, 2008 by kpriss
Did you ever pictured your Mango high street fast fashion store the perfect store for the +60 age?
Well maybe you haven’t, but the marketing team behind Mango did! They contracted Lauren Hutton for the Fall 2008 campaign. And Lauren is 64 years old. The supermodels are officially back and running full speed. Just look at her! I was thinking… If a current model ad campaign falls into oblivion because the new supers are taking all the spotlight, where would the newcomers go? How to handle the supers-pressure?
