Dare To Wear Jennifer Behr’s Studded Headbands?

When Burberry unleashed the studded mania last fall, I thought it would be over by now. But nooooh! Instead it climbed all the way to the top: studded headbands, who would’ve thought?

Sourcing for inspiration in our very television culture, Jennifer Behr usually made easy-gossip girl headpieces only this time she thought a punk rock spin would be in order so behold the goth installment this Fall! (the story continues with more pictures right after the jump!)

Sølve Sundsbø For Surface To Air Collection

Before we have the chance to review yet another Kate Moss collection for Topshop, let me introduce you to a special collaboration: Sølve Sundsbø signed up for a limited edition clothing collection with Surface To Air.

The collection will feature 3 of a kind – 3 dresses, 3 tops, 3 bags and will be available in 20 stores worldwide. Only 3 pieces of each style will be available in each store. The collection is all about print, about image. Solve Sundsbo’s photography declined in bags, dresses and tops doesn’t sound that bad, does it?

I admit I like the bird print more than any other, how about you? It’s amazing what a simple but amazing photography print can do for an ordinary piece of fabric! (more images right after the jump) (via)

Vanity Fair’s August Recreates The 30s Films With Young Actors

I sometimes think I’m more of a fashion cinephile. Not the kind who loves movies about/around/with fashion but fashion like a movie. Take for instance photography: fashion photography revolutionizes my aesthetics only if the pictures tell a story. A good one.

That’s why I love (anything-) Annie Leibovitz. She’s like a photo-story teller to me. I could never resist the story of Annie lenses.

So Vanity Fair’s pictorials really get to me. Because they tell stories. Like this “Ain’t We Got Style” from Vanity Fair August 2009 where young artist impersonate legends from the thirties films! (the story continues right after the jump with more pictures and videos!)

Mischa Barton’s Weight Out Of Control

How low must they expect the ratings charts for Mischa’s show to go if they’re speculating (again) on Mischa Barton’s weight? The poor girl’s picture must be put under the “yo-yo diet” definition in any dictionary!

Having her TV show premiere soon (and some movies coming up), Mischa Barton is doing what she knows best to promote herself (and the show): piling up some serious weight. But what do you know? In fact our eyes deceive us and it’s not Mischa who gained those pounds, it’s her wisdom tooth that puffed her face by removing it! What say you? (via)

Melting Jewelry Heartz By Miss Sixty

Called Heartz, the new Miss Sixty Jewerly collection looks perfectly fit for the summer heat. I’m a girl who likes to wear simple, classic pearl studded earrings or spice my conservative earlobes with giant hoops every now and then but that doesn’t mean I can’t understand the appeal of these melting hearts stamped with Miss Sixty’s logo.

Earrings, necklace and bracelet at $100 the set ($47 for the necklace and $54 for the bracelet, $54 the earrings). If you ask me, it’s all just a question of advertising. If they put it in the wrong hands (LiLo’s Fornarina campaign raised most eyebrows but I’m not sure it really cashed in), the collection has every chance of melting in the windows, waiting to be bought, just like the design suggests. Marketing aside, do you feel Miss Sixty’s Heartz collection? (via)

Lindsay Lohan’s Sevin Nyne Tanning Mist Isn’t Actually Hers

(oh, what a surprise!) The young and restless Lindsay Lohan just got herself a new lawsuit filed by a St Petersburg chemist who claims the self-tanning formula from the Sevin Nyne mist is not Lindsay’s but hers (and stolen from her by LiLo’s current business associate, Lorit Simon).

Next you know, LiLo’s leggings were actually made and sewn together (or torn apart) by the green goblin living under Karl Lagerfeld’s house (a cousin of the public restroom goblin whose story you can all read in the Drop toilet paper novel). Where would we be without the weekly dose of LiLo real life soap opera? (via, photo via)

Toilet Paper Books

Bathroom-playing games on your mobile phone is soooo last season! Now it’s time to read a good toilet paper book! (who knows, maybe that’s why magazines sales are not as high as they used to be!)

Koji Suzuki’s Drop is a nine chapter horror novella (Koji Suzuki is also responsible for “The Ring”) available on paper toilet rolls at 210 yen/pce (appx $2). Drop is the story of a goblin living in a public restroom. I wonder when they’ll start printing fashion magazines on toilet paper… It would really solve the storage-after-reading dilemma… And that, ladies and gents, is why I love doing my ‘zines reading online – it saves me tons of storage space!
