Frowning Lara Stone, Who?
September 6th, 2009 by kpriss
If you thought there was no match to Lara Stone’s angry catwalk look, think no more! Here goes Jessica Simpson wearing the look, walking the walk, just like a perfect frowning catwalk queen!
You might want to know what she was doing up there (or not, but it’s in the news, so you’ll find out sooner or later): she was invited as a guest model for a fashion show! (you can close your mouth now, I can see that “What the..” shape from here!) She catwalked for Ozlem Suer, Friday September 4th, in Paris. Now since Jourdan’s agency declared that she will not be walking her 5mths-baby bump down the runway, can we have Jessica Simpson as a catwalk curiosity moment at Fashion Week? Please? Pretty please? Homeless Chic, The New It?
September 5th, 2009 by kpriss
I have to tell you I’m a bit worried about the way fashion goes. Not long ago, I thought Erin Wasson’s homeless chic wisdom was beyond acceptable. However, bringing her so-called relaxed fashion to the catwalk, it spawned some wee monsters in the fashblogosphere.
Now everyone’s onto some kind of homeless fashion/style/whatever. I would understand if this was going the anti-couture way. I would close my eyes and forgive it this was like an homage; a way to say that they are noticed and the future holds something better for them. (the story continues right after the jump)

Queen And David Bowie Under Pressure
September 4th, 2009 by kpriss
It occurred to me we never had a Queen Break! Though I’m such a huge fan! So here it goes: Queen & David Bowie Under Pressure. It’s all about the 80s, right? So let’s have it full musical flavor!
So many Queen tunes I could listen to and still feel amazed by Freddie’s talent. The good ones really die too young. I won’t melt, no-no! There’s the weekend, and a long one! Thank you for this beautiful week and your great comments! Wish you have the most delightful weekend ever! (more info about the song right after the jump; also a Queen bonus to cheer you up : Crazy Little Thing Called Love and, of course, the cover of all Under Pressure covers : Ice Ice Baby!)
Donatella Versace Is Out In October 2009
September 4th, 2009 by kpriss
Putting a designer on the cover is an honorable change from the regular celeb magazine fronting issue we’re dealing with lately. Out Magazine highlights Donatella Versace for the October 2009 issue.
White on cover, the title says Blonde Ambition. But the cover screams Photoshop ambition. Alongside model/actor Paul Sculfor, Donatella (53) rolls back some twenty-thirty years for Out, the Gay magazine voice, saying that you can be boring but never too seductive. My wild guess is that by saying the above, she meant you can never have too much plastic surgery to enhance your features! (via, photos via 1, 2, 3)

No Style Like The Biker Style!
September 3rd, 2009 by kpriss
It’s not your usual style talk, however, let me take this opportunity to bless you with a perfect example of wisdom. Children style. Biker Style! (we’re in for a long Labour day weekend, so why not have some fun while we’re at it?) (photo via)

White Casual Friday Outfit
September 3rd, 2009 by kpriss
As much as I dislike spoilers, I have to bring you this white laid back Friday outfit. Just in case…
Remarquez, please, the all-white (pre Labor day, true, but white nevertheless) outfit as brought to us by the SATC 2 stylists and Sarah Jessica Parker. There’s also a string of pearls involved, something I would have never thought possible to pair with Converse sneakers! Regardless of being so over skinny jeans, I admit this getup looks pretty good. Could you? Would you be this white Friday casual? (hair side note: frizzy curls shoulder long are back!) (photos via)

Prada Trembled Blossoms, Who?
September 3rd, 2009 by kpriss
Remember that Blossom Prada time when we were all fed with highly hypnotic images symbolizing a new Fashion collection by Prada? I do! And I remember the only good thing that came out of that season’s initiative: Antony and the Johnsons. And I also recollect sweet regurgitative memories at the very sight of any Prada Blossom bag out and about!
But Miuccia put and end to the Blossom madness (thankfully!). There’s a slight possibility she may give it another try upon seeing this amazing street art discovered under a bridge in Cuernavaca Morelos, Mexico! (fashion test: there’s a Converse shoe hanging there, somewhere. Found it?) (photos via)
Victoria Beckham Covers Elle October 2009
September 3rd, 2009 by kpriss
Showcasing her tiny super fit figure on Elle October 2009 cover, Victoria Beckham tells everyone that she’s so serious on the Red Carpet because she’s insecure and she only wants to get her job done and get home to her boys.
Not very fashionable, the message, eh? And what is she wearing, anyway? Looks so much like a concrete dress to me! What about the hair? Victoria, you could have played it safe wearing your own design, not this lemon-concrete maid dress! (photo via)
