Lily Allen, The Chanel Mannequin!
October 27th, 2009 by kpriss
If not long ago we were amazed by the power of the Agyness Deyn trend for having been molded into a life size mannequin, the celeb-mannequin became an established fashion nowadays.
The last Chanel bags campaign with Lily Allen got a special window chez Chanel. One with a life-size Lily Allen mannequin. If that won’t help busting the sales for those pillow-y new Chanel totes, then what? A life size Baptiste Giabiconi model plus a life size Lara Stone model (not black-painted, if morally possible) playing around in the snow? Clothess-less? (via)

Isabeli Fontana’s Vogue Paris November 2009
October 26th, 2009 by kpriss
I wonder if Carine is really thinking about fashion when she’s imagining her “fashion” editorials! If not long ago she went all diplomatic with Lara Stone and her black body paint, here she is, at it again, with Isabeli Fontana and a handful of (what better than) body painting!
Though I’m no stranger to tattoos and their way of being more or less meaningful, I can’t see the right in this pictorial. Though Carine hides behind the artsy reminder of Keith Haring’s iconic work, though I favor Isabeli on my top 10 preferred models, this Vogue Paris November 2009 keeps the controversy alive. (the story continues after the jump with more images!)
Liaison Dangereuse, Sexy Lingerie For Everyone. Everyone?
October 26th, 2009 by kpriss
Let’s make way to the controversy. After all, we’re loving it! This time, by way of a short video, advertising for lingerie. And sexiness.
Miriam Wimmer, the star of this dangereuse piece of advertising is a model and a TV star in Germany but also a graphic design major. Whether she is a Muslim through and through, is something I haven’t been able to discover using the Internet provided tools. Her advertising for the German lingerie shop Liaison Dangereuse, however, made a world of buzz and traveled faster than any other Agent Provocateur might have had. How should we take this ad? (via)
What To Wear For A Special Night Out?
October 26th, 2009 by kpriss
My inner dress girl exulted at the sight of this Chloe long silk dress worn as a casual piece!
It’s not the happiest design, the dark colors add a stiff couture factor to the long pleated skirt and an increased dramatic percentage due to the plunging v-neck. But Anja Rubik wears it so happily casual, I’m now looking at this Chloe silk mousseline dress from a brighter, positive perspective! I wrote it down on a mental note for the next theater/opera fancy dressup. What do you do to tone down the preciousness of a clothing piece? (sure, that is by completely ignoring the $3,600 price tag!)

Power By Fifty Cent, The Fragrance
October 26th, 2009 by kpriss
I may be behind on my hip culture, but I haven’t heard nothing music-wise from 50 lately… Instead, there goes something fashion & beauty – wise in my mailbox, talking about the new perfume (?) signed 50 Cent!
If you can’t believe the written word, go out, see him for yourself! He’s scheduled for exclusive appearances at Macy’s, promoting his new fragrance: Power by 50 Cent (doesn’t it speak for itself?) There’s no word if the scent will give you bulletproof features, like 50 cent’s, but you can still try: November 5th he’ll be at Herald Square NYC from 5-7pm, November 7th Macy’s Perimeter (Atlanta) 12-2pm, November 9th State Street (Chicago) 12-2pm, November 10th Macy’s Union Square (SF) 5-7pm, November 11th Macy’s Lakeside (California) 5-7pm. H & M Fall Winter 2009 (My Favorite Sweater)
October 24th, 2009 by kpriss
You remember that Vogue Paris picture of Claudia Schiffer with the lovely, lovely sweater? Can you believe that’s actually a very affordable H & M sweater?
I was looking through their fall campaign with the beautiful Liya Kebede and this ruffled sweater got my attention: heey, don’t I know you already? And then bam! It came to me: it was the very soft and cosy number Claudia was wearing in Vogue Paris October 2009! And here I was, thinking about Donna Karan’s cashmere when I could have this $45 comfy joy in my wardrobe! What say you? (H&M via fgr)
