Up House Ring Box

As you well know by now, I’m a big fan of everything Pixar. Their stories truly have a heart and as far as mine goes, it’s always melted by their animations. I don’t know if you’ve seen Up. Have you? Because I wouldn’t want to spoil the magic for you – however, the following work of true art is not a spoiler. Far from it!

It just shows us how far some people go in their love for everything Pixar. This Ring Box has been handmade by Michal Miszta for someone who wanted to make a complete surprise for his girlfriend. She loved Up so much, her boyfriend thought it would be great to present himself with the Up-house as a ring box for the big proposal. Congrats to the future newlyweds and to Michal Miszta for his amazing patience and talent! Isn’t it something? (visit tMM)

Extreme Face Makeover

This is a non-altered image of a young man. As far as we know, this hasn’t been touched in any way (photoshop-wise) and the young man really exists (as we speak he’s locked up in jail, but that’s another story).

I know some dream about having different features than the rest of us, some even work hard in trying to transform their face/body through surgical interventions. This young man here, however, is my definition of extreme makeover and I definitely propose him for the next Star Trek adventure. Doesn’t he just belong there? (via)

Edgy Look With The Lanvin Snake Necklace

With all that’s going on in the fashuniverse these days, it’s really hard to not find something suitable when you want to edge up your looks. If nothing but a tattoo, a studded vest or a chain decorated bootie.

However, this Lanvin Twisted Snake Necklace definitely caught my eye. It’s not your usual snake design, it’s not Angelina’s philanthropist Asprey design either. It’s… twisted. And precious. It’s a gold-tone tin and brass twisted rope necklace. Its ends are embellished with enameled turquoise snake heads. Multiple Swarovski crystals add sparkles to this apparently simple necklace signed Lanvin (and available for $2,875 – I said apparently simple, remember?)

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Vogue August 2010

As much as I dislike starting off on a negative tone, I’m going to for this one: I really didn’t feel Gwyneth Paltrow much. Before. Now I’m impressed. And it’s not her acting that’s dazzling me! Oh, no! It’s her marketing genius. Or her marketing team genius. Anyway you put it, Gwyneth is now miles away the average, dull movie star.

She’s behind the Goop phenomenon, besides being married to Chris Martin, the musician, and mother of two. And this is how Gwyneth Paltrow managed the transition to the kitchen goddess that’s looking back at you from the pages of Vogue US August 2010. (the story continues right after the jump, don’t miss the images from Gwyneth’s apartment, click here for the gallery!)

Charlize Theron’s Latest Video Crossfire Brandon Flowers

Have I told you I like Charlize Theron? Guess I did. Nonetheless it won’t hurt saying it again – I really do like Charlize! Naturally I read almost every piece of news Charlize-related. (yes, I also read the one saying she was involved with Keanu. I don’t really believe it – he couldn’t possibly be with Charlize and be sad! No way on Earth!)

So this is the latest about Charlize (to my knowledge): a video. A music video, actually, for Brandon Flowers’ Crossfire. It reminds me of Aeon Flux somehow. Only with Ninjas. Not bad, if you like the save-the-day-girlfriend type. What do you say? (there’s a behind-the-scenes video right after the jump!)

Want Morticia Addams Nails? Essie’s Morticia Nail Polish

I’m a French manicure girl through and through. When I have the time and the necessary nails length! Otherwise I’d just settle for a pale pink on my household-ish nails (yeah, I bet you were thinking I keep my nails short because that’s the fashion. It is. With three toddlers around: it’s the mommy fashion).

I was always fascinated by the Addams Family. Love that TV Family, really (the original cast). And I told you that before, I’m sure! What I did not know at the time was that essie launched a special nail polish kit: Morticia’s Nails! Designed by Bebe Neuwirth who currently plays Morticia on the Broadway musical “The Addams Family”, the set is comprised of 3 nail polishes: Bone Chilling White, Blood Curdling Red and Midnight Tango. If not the shades, I’d go for these nails because of the irresistibly dark names! Wouldn’t you? (via)

Selfridges Regrets Alexander McQueen Hanging Dress Window

You imagine I couldn’t keep quiet over this distastefulness. Good thing it’s all gone now. It’s a disgrace for Selfridges to have made such window display though they keep denying it had anything to do with Alexander McQueen’s death.

My wild guess is that they went for it fully aware it would cause a stir, hoping the buzz created equals free publicity. And it’s a won bet – the few days the McQueen Hanging Dress window was functional, it properly made the rounds of the fashinterwebs and more. Isn’t there anything sacred anymore?

Lady Gaga Perfume By Christmas?

In case you noticed there was considerably less coverage on Lady Gaga lately, please be aware that we may be in for a surprise! Rumor has it that Lady Gaga is working on a fragrance with Coty.

Said to be available this very Christmas, the rumored perfume will be “unusual”. I fear the worse. (if it proves to be true and the perfume will become reality) (via, photo via)
