Crystal Renn’s New Confessed Weight
October 27th, 2010 by kpriss
It’s been so long since Crystal Renn unleashed this weight fuss that I really thought it was getting beyond boring to talk about it. Still, the topic is high rated and gets as much attention as it did when it first started.
So what’s it about now? After weeks and months of speculations and pointing the fingers, Crystal finally admits to having shed some pounds. With a new workout regime and her recently gained self confidence, Crystal climbed the models ranks all the way to the top. Like she always dreamed she would. (in short – Crystal had high hopes of becoming a top model ever since she was 13. However, the tough industry ordered her to lose even more weight despite her already skinny frame. That pushed her into a regime her body rejected in just three years and she started piling on pounds and depression, fighting anorexia and bulimia in the same time. Crystal finally embraced her fuller figure and became a plus size model. Until recently, when…well she discovered she could regain her slim figure).
Dare To Wear The Lapicitos Necklaces?
October 27th, 2010 by kpriss
Haven’t you always wondered what to do with those white pencils? You know, the ones that come in the colored pencils sets? White is not even a color, to start with, that justifies placing a white crayon in a colored pencils stash. Then you usually use crayons (any kind) to leave marks on white paper. Why would you use a white crayon on white paper? Sure, I confess, I am limited by my experience with blank as in white paper. What kind of paper one needs for white pencils to actually be useful?
So I have this plastic container with colored crayons sets. Many. Regardless of the usage stage of any set, each and every colored crayons set has an untouched crayon in: the white one. The Grand White one. What do to with those? Here’s the perfect answer, from Etsy’s Corazon De Galleta: White Lapicitos necklace! Isn’t this a wonderful, wonderful idea? Not to mention the wonderful, wonderful looks of the finished necklace? Click through to discover more beauties from Ari (Corazon de galleta)!
Lavazza Calendar 2011 By Mark Selinger
October 26th, 2010 by kpriss
Have you seen the new Lavazza Calendar 2011? It’s usually a visual celebration of all artsy things of life, love and fashion and this time it’s no exception.
Photographed by Mark Selinger and inspired by the legendary Italian romantic spirit, the new calendar is funny and magic, even for a non-caffeine drinker like me. (not that I wouldn’t indulge myself in a Starbucks treat every once in a while – except when I’m pregnant and/or naturally feeding my babies: I have this fixation that newborns and babies in general don’t fully appreciate the taste of an espresso, frappuccino or any other kind of caffeine based drink. But that’s just me, don’t let me get in the way of appreciating the new Lavazza visual extravaganza!) Speaking of which – after starring at those images for quite a while, I decided that my favorite is the hay cup photo. I’m a simple country girl and I like the simple things in life. Which one’s your favorite? (Lavazza via)

Granny Lamp, The New Knit Home Fashion
October 26th, 2010 by kpriss
Long winter evenings are near (yep, just around the Halloween corner, that’s how chilling near) so what better idea for those dark days of cold than knitting? We’ve been on that road before with Kenzo, now it’s time for some home fashion!
The Granny lamp comes from the Netherlands’ local old ladies, designed by Georg Öhler and made from lamb’s wool. The knit suffers a natural treatment to make it flame resistant, moth and mite resistant. What a cozy charmer, this Granny Lamp! Wait, there’s more – due to the handmade quality, every piece is unique! Wouldn’t you want one? (if you’re interested in buying, the Granny Lamps are available here) (WSJ via)

Most Stylish Rain Boots: Cheap Monday
October 26th, 2010 by kpriss
I already chose my favorite rain boots for this season, haven’t I? I haven’t changed my mind (yet), though these Cheap Monday transparent rain boots tempt me to cross my first choice and wholeheartedly go for the transparency thrill.
I’d like to keep both styles, nevertheless and I’ll tell you why: you won’t like the look (and the cold) of mud on those indecently transparent beauties, would you? Still, they do look great for a city walk, don’t they? In both over the knee and low cut styles (with a weakness for the long ones). What say you? (photos Stockholm Streetstyle via)
Paul Smith Multi Stripe Print Giro Helmet
October 26th, 2010 by kpriss
I always had a weakness for all things Paul Smith. I haven’t thought much about the whys and the hows of this weak spot, I guess it’s maybe because of those happy, joyful, colorful stripes? Maybe!
Anyway, Paul Smith’s Multi Stripe print can now be seen on Giro Helmets. Cycling gets a lot of couture attention lately so who are we to think differently? Bicycling gets more stylish and fashionable with every designer … ummm passing day. Which designer would be on your cycling wishlist? I’d like to see some Comme des Garcons helmets! Wouldn’t they be fun? Dots and spots… Oh, and Kenzo? With flowers on top? (via)
Ready For Jury Zaech Fresh Bicycle Approach?
October 25th, 2010 by kpriss
You know there’s that couture biking thing in the air, don’t you? Well, here’s something else to bring you a completely new, fresh perspective on the bicycling story!
It’s a concept, for the moment, it hasn’t left the paper/computer yet (for what I know) and it’s signed by Jury Zaech, a French designer. So not only it’s a chic thing, it’s a French chic thing! Bicycling and letting everyone know what your name is in the same time? I guess it makes stealing one’s bike a bit more difficult, eh? (zeutch via)
