The Perfect Camera And Laptop Bag The Union Street Bag

My love for messenger bags is no secret for you – I’ve openly expressed my admiration and wanting for many crossbody bags along the years. However, this time it’s not just that – it’s more than just finding yet another messenger bag absolutely irresistible!

It’s a camera and laptop messenger bag! And while I’ve been known for taking my husband’s shirts and wearing them with an oversized belt, leggings and boots or jeans and boots, this time, I’d like him to have this messenger bag so I can take that also and wear it to eternity!

Have you seen those un-stylish, un-fashionable DSLR cameras bags (or backpacks)? There’s nothing nice and friendly about them! While this – this Union Street Messenger bag has style, has finesse and character! Plus enough room for a DSLR camera and 3 lenses, a 15” laptop and personal items (such as an iPad and more). It’s a no go for this Christmas since they seem to have sold out each and every item they had (quality items sell out fast). However, you can order one for early 2011. Don’t miss out on these $279 gadgety beauties! They’re undoubtedly more beautiful and practical than those Lanvims! Ahem Lanvins. (more images and a video right after the jump!)

Scarlett Johansson And Woody Allen Enjoy The Beach

This surely has something to do with the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise! I’m left dreaming at white sandy beaches! Hence this pictorial with Scarlett Johansson and Woody Allen caught my eye.

There’s something great about happily posing on a fake beach, under a fake sun. It almost makes looking and thinking about the sun and the beach in wintertime far easier. Because it’s fake. Like so many things in Hollywood. Scarlett used to be Woody’s muse for a while. I wonder if she still is now that she’s back at her usual blond self. After all, I’d love a second Vicky, Christina, Barcelona! Is there another Woody Allen ScarJo project in the making? (photos via)

Customize Your Shoes With Heel Condoms

We’ve seen (and we can imagine) so many ways to change the way your shoes look like! However, none of it allows you to either go back to the way your shoes were before the makeover or discard one makeover in favor of another.

Heel Condoms is the change your shoes needed! For prices ranging from $20 to $39 you can pick a suitable cover for your heels. One that matches your outfit du jour and, biensur, your mood du jour. Flamboyant, playful or retro, there’s something for every taste and every occasion. I’m absolutely in love with these cover-ups! Which one is your favorite? (Heel Condoms via)

Sung Yeonju Food Couture. Gaga’s Meat Dress Is So Yesterday!

With the risk of creating a displeasing image, you all need to focus on a past appearance of Lady Gaga’s when she was wearing a getup made entirely out of raw meat. (yeah, I’m with you – distasteful all the way)

Now let’s scroll down together and agree that fashioning food isn’t all that gross and repugnant as Gaga made it to be! Sung Yeonju demonstrates that couture food in the name of art can really be appealing all the way to amazing! (thus confirming a theory of mine that Gaga isn’t all that artistic or original. She’s just seeking the shock factor in everything, anything, a far cry from actual art).

Sung Yeonju’s Wearable Food ongoing project goes on for two years and focuses on reinterpreting the meaning of food in our lives and the importance of clothing. “Unwearable clothing that is made out of the materials that don’t last.” . If you’re curious for more, Sung’s work will make the object of an exhibition in Los Angeles, January 2011. (more about Sung here; via)

Designer Bags For Alfa Romeo Cars

Alfa Romeo, the prestigious Italian car brand found a special way to celebrate their centenary: by commissioning the Central Saint Martin’s College Of Art and Design’s student to create two limited edition bags.

Tamara Elliott and William Hendy have signed the two bags inspired by the compact sports car Alfa MiTo. Designed as flat garment bags, they both fold to create unique and practical shapes, not to mention beautiful and sleek. I’ve long loved huge bags and I’d love to have them both (even if I would prefer them in deep cowboy-ish brown). With or without the Alfa. (Alfa Romeo via)

Vogue 2010 Covers

Who would’ve thought that a year long of Vogue covers (various international issues combined) could be so morally and visually challenging (yes, it’s not just you, this image bares a forced resemblance with the Virgin Mary)?

Call it a miracle, call it visual cliché, all 2010 Vogue covers seem to operate on one aesthetic and one aesthetic only. Vertical, middle page layout can be summarized in this blurry red and orange silhouette. Cliché much? (via)

Clothespin Installation For H & M By Normal

I’ve always been amazed by twisting the normal, ordinary thing into something out of the ordinary, surprising and undoubtedly beautiful (if not by appearance than by the nature of its transformation).

A simple thing, like the clothespin, has been repurposed into a highly artistic installation for the H & M home store in London. The tremendous six months work for the Tender project belongs to Martin Huberman of Normal studio. Five clothespins installations can be admired in the H & M Home Store, amongst which, the store escalator piece is particularly impressive (you can see a picture of it right after the jump). I wonder if they’ve got a Christmas decoration Tender theme in place… Anyone close to the H & M store to share the décor? (via)

Frida Gustavsson’s Anna Sui Beauty Spring 2011 Ad Campaign

I remember a time when you could only spot Agyness Deyn working as a model in Anna Sui’s beauty ad campaigns. It seems we won’t be seeing Aggy no more. Her place has been taken by Frida Gustavsson.

She’s fronting the Beauty Ad Campaign for Anna Sui Spring 2011. It’s where Burlesque meets Harajuku, so if you’re into this kind of aesthetic (for some reason I keep thinking about Christina Aguilera when I’m seeing this. Maybe a new look would inject magic back into her career), don’t hesitate, Anna Sui is the brand for you! (photo via)
