How About Some Burberry Art?
April 5th, 2011 by kpriss
Visually perfect, the Dunkelheit series from 2007 by artist Jiri Geller features four Donald Duck heads in a more artsy interpretation.
Even if three of them are completely fashion – free, there’s a fourth Dunkelheit duck infused with a serious Burberry spirit. And it looks great! However, I think a bit of interlocked CC for the black one, GC for the beige one and a tad of LV for the bicolored duck would suit just fine and make this one of the most fashionable ducks series I’ve ever led my eyes on! cliche, yes. But fashionable! (Jiri Geller via)
Andrej Pejic’s Inspired Hairdo
April 4th, 2011 by kpriss
If you need more proof that Andrej Pejic is the big model thing right now, then think that I featured him three times already in 30 days time. Which makes him a little less popular than Kate Moss.
The reason we’re talking about Andrej again today is his hairdo. An extravagant curly blond do for a special event. Myer, a department store in Australia that recently celebrated its 100th anniversary and many came to rejoice and remember Myer. So did Andrej who came accompanied by his mother, Jadranka Savic.
Andrej, wearing Yeojn Bae, admitted his special hairdo was inspired by a movie he’s watched in the plane coming over. What fashionesque movie would that be, you ask? Well, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. And the character who inspired his hair? Bellatrix Lestrange (aka Helena Bonham Carter). Any mismatched shoes in the future? (via)
Statement Necklace
April 3rd, 2011 by kpriss
If you’re wearing glasses and you just had enough of them and want to change the frames, would you conserve the initial ones in case you would want to wear them later… in a necklace? I love the magic of a DIY project and, generally, the outcome never fails to surprise me. In a good way.
Except this necklace case is a bit strange for my taste. It makes a pretty powerful statement, you wouldn’t need to say “hey, look, there’s a picture of me from the third grade – look at my glasses! They’re so yesterday!” If they could do a lamp from aviator sunglasses, why would such a necklace surprise me? You can cast your vote right after the image! (photo Easy Fashion)

Sigrid Agren Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick Ad Campaign
April 3rd, 2011 by kpriss
Sigrid Agren showing us how it’s done wearing the lovely lipstick from Chanel Rouge Coco Shine. Allegedly representing for the Spring Summer 2011 ad campaign, Sigrid is so sweet and joyful, I kinda wish it would be Sigrid for Rouge Coco and not Vanessa.
For the duration of the commercial clip, Sigrid is wearing Rouge Coco Shine Canotier, one of the loveliest shades of the lipstick (from a total of 18 nuances). Also if the song will catch up with you and you’ll find yourself singing it on and on, then know that it’s Blur (Girls and Boys) and you can watch it right here, after the jump! Because yeah, I couldn’t get it off of my mind!

Sofia Coppola’s Style Essentials
April 3rd, 2011 by kpriss
You may have noticed not long ago, a feature on Vogue Paris’ new editor in chief, Emmanuelle Alt. Or more specifically, about her style essentials. If you enjoyed that little peek in Emmanuelle’s fashhabits, you may also like knowing what Sofia Coppola’s style essentials are!
Sofia’s favorite pair of jeans comes from Acne and they’re hex black. They go well with the Charvet shirts she’s ordering (if Charvet doesn’t ring a bell, then you should know that they’re as exclusive as it get, the shirt makers of very important persons from Coco Chanel to the president Reagan, almost every prominent figure in history was wearing Charvet shirts! Their price starts around $400 and mount up to $1,500). I’m guessing that when she was photographed at Cannes, Sofia was wearing Charvet? (more insights on Sofia Coppola’s style after the jump!)
Sasha Pivovarova Free People Spring Summer 2011 Ad Campaign
April 2nd, 2011 by kpriss
Oh, this is beautiful! It really is! Sasha Pivovarova as I love her most: smiling, playing, goofing around. Sasha‘s surrounded by various animals which makes it even more adorable and fun!
The video commercial for Free People, Spring Summer 2011 as shot by Guy Aroch is one of the most joyful ads I’ve seen so far. I’m actually playing it in a loop since I like the girl, I like the clothes and the settings and it looks like so much fun! Come give it a try! (Swell)
Marion Cotillard Lady Dior Spring Sumer 2011. The Russian Campaign
April 2nd, 2011 by kpriss
Gravitating away from scandal and into the welcoming arms of wealthy Russian people, the house of Dior is launching yet another Lady Dior ad campaign featuring the lovely Marion Cotillard.
Though the set shows the prominent St Basil Cathedral from Moscow’s Red Square, you should know it was all in the hands of the Photoshop people as Marion, currently pregnant with her first child, wasn’t anywhere near Russian when the photo was taken. Oh, no, Craig McDean lensed the pregnant beauty (oh, yes – you don’t see much of the pregnant belly either!) styled by Marie – Amelie Sauve in Paris.
She looks so beautiful and the lil’ Lady Dior bag is so lovely, I’m willing to forget that they exaggerated and made Marion look like Liz Hurley! So what say you? should she continue to be Lady Dior regardless of Galliano’s departure? (via)

Terry Richardson, The Offender. Will Get Away With It. Again
April 2nd, 2011 by kpriss
You may have noticed that following the Terry Richardson scandal a while back, I chose to not feature any of his work, even if it involves very respectable and reputed fashion magazines. It’s my way to protest against the fashpeople who keep on closing their eyes and ignore the Terry moral menace.
It’s either a general ignorance, an attitude I do not embrace nor encourage, or they’re all like that and Terry had the misfortune of ending up in the public’s eye for some reason. Or both. Anyway, an aspiring model / photographer has it all written down – a conversation with the “man” himself in which he admits being who he is and that the entire fashindustry is the same.
It’s still uncertain if the conversation is authentic, regardless, the fashpeople will grant Terry a safe passage again, and they’ll welcome him with open arms in their exclusive ranks. For he is Terry Richardson, important member of the fashion family. Are they all like that? (for more details about the conversation between Felice Fawn and Terry Richardson here)
[…]Terry Richardson: can you handle open and direct talk?
Felice Fawn: How do you mean?
Terry Richardson: straight to the point, no ping pong
Felice Fawn: Oh right haha, yeah yeah
Terry Richardson: modelling is more then only a pretty face
Felice Fawn: Yeah of course
Terry Richardson: but most models do know how things go behind the scenes to get the fame
Terry Richardson: do you? […]
Felice Fawn: Absolutely not. Overwhelmed by the fact you contacted me yes, but considering selling my body for fame? Never.
Terry Richardson: then you need to work at mc donald, this is the lifestyle
Terry Richardson: but i respect it
Terry Richardson: no worries, i never push[…]
