April 16th, 2011 by kpriss
I had this thing on my mind for few days and thought, maybe, you will also enjoy it? It’s an entirely different thing from what we’re used to seeing / hearing on Friday. Yes, basically being published on a Saturday is already different, I know, but bear with me, you’ll see why it’s so special in the first place!
We’ve all heard about Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the Rodarte sisters. And we’re just as marveled as the rest of the world with their each and every show. Because they’re pretty special in the designers scene and their inspiration is overwhelming, influencing the fashworld to pieces. So here’s their favorite music, the Rodarte sisters favorite five songs! Starting with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Here Comes My Girl. Click through to discover the rest!

No Talk Like The Fashion Talk
April 15th, 2011 by kpriss
You may be familiar with the rules of fashion talk. And even if you’re not, you will still enjoy this as it decrypts one of the languages of one of the universes existent and known at the moment: the fashverse. Which is much like our own universe only with beautiful, skinny people and lots of clothing and accessories.
The lovely Garance Dore who is one of the special correspondents in the fashverse and who is constantly reporting news and images from beyond the fashborder has a new insightful report for us: from now on, the fashtalking people would hold no secrets from us anymore. For we know why talking and thinking fashion means!
[…]Oh wow, you look so… Healthy! = Is that a muffin top that’s about to pop out of your jeans?
Oh wow, you got a new haircut! It’s really quite… Editorial! = You serious? What the hell is that on top of your head? […]This cream is amazing. It has a base made entirely from oxygen! It costs $1,200 but, you know, oxygen is really rare! Your skin is dry with a tendency toward oily. You’re going to need three different moisturizers, one for the cheeks, one for the forehead, and another for the chin. And don’t forget the eye cream. Should I wrap it up for you? […]
Black sunglasses = I just pulled an all-nighter. I have such a steamier life than you, you prude.
I’m not wearing any makeup = No need to be beautiful. In the fashion world, all you need is to be skinny, stylish. …And wear black sunglasses.

Jeremy Scott Longchamp Pliage Pills Bag
April 15th, 2011 by kpriss
The legendary Longchamp Pliage bag is again subject of high end design as a new collaboration with designer Jeremy Scott has produced a new bag for this summer. Well, it’s the same old bag, actually, only with a new print.
The thing is, with Jeremy Scott, you never know what to expect! The common lines of fashion and design are usually bent by his urban contemporary vision and this is no exception. The new Jeremy Scott Longchamp Pliage bag has a ton of pills on! The print shows a pile of colored, multishape pills. Is that the new essence of chic? (the bag will be available debut June chez Colette)
Maryna Linchuk’s Vogue Russia May 2011 Cover
April 15th, 2011 by kpriss
We’ve heard that coral is the shade of the season so many times so we might as well see how can we put it to good fashion use. This is the perfect example of great coral aesthetic, impeccable styling and overall excellence.
Maryna Linchuck on the cover of Vogue Russia May 2011 working the coral look for photographer Patrick Demarchelier. Don’t you just love the rock’n’roll edge and the general styles patchwork? The necklace, the dress and the gloves look like they were meant to be put together like this. And Maryna‘s pose is perfect! This is absolutely my favorite cover so far this year! Thank you, Vogue Russia for making fashion happen! (photo via)
Marc Jacobs T Shirts Human Rights Campaign For Marriage Equality
April 15th, 2011 by kpriss
Something about fighting for such a noble cause makes me feel ashamed about writing this piece. However, in the name of aesthetics, I must carry on and deliver the message.
A new fighter for the Human Rights Campaign for marriage equality has joined the militant masses: Marc Jacobs. The exquisite and oh – so loved designer has put together a special drawing which he then printed on some cotton white t-shirts which he’s selling or giving for the cause (at the HRC Stores in Princetown, Mass, San Francisco, Palm Springs and Washington DC and also online here). It’s a very honorable thing to do, putting fashion up for a good cause. However, I must ask – couldn’t he had done a less cheesy, more stylish drawing? (via)
Cute Couple Style
April 15th, 2011 by kpriss
I wish I could come up with another reason to write about this. Maybe the outfits they’re wearing? Some expensive bag or pair of eccentric shoes. But truth is, my lovelies, I’m writing about these two because they look so cute, so normal and… perfect together!
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. You can hardly come across something less fussy, less pretentious and celebitchy than these two. Looking like two normal parents, going from school to school to interview for their two adorable little girls. How’s that for Hollywood preoccupations? And how lovely they look together? (I said that already, haven’t I? can’t help it, just can’t, I’m charmed!) (photos Bauer Griffin)
Louis Vuitton Animals By Billie Achilleos
April 15th, 2011 by kpriss
Oh, the Louis Vuitton people! sigh! I wish it would be easier to snug them! I wish I wouldn’t be so touched and impressed by their marketing wise maneuvers! But look at this! How can you stand cold faced with such artistic excellence?
Commissioned by Louis Vuitton, the witty people from Chameleon Visual knew exactly who they would bring on board for this special event which would help spice up the Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2011 Press day in Paris: Billie Achilleos, a British artist who is truly crafty, inspired and inspiring with clever installations. Thus the 4 Louis Vuitton animals were born: the Armadillo, the Beaver, the Chameleon, the Grasshopper. All entirely made out of small leather (and more) goods from Louis Vuitton! Just hit the jump for more creative amazingness! (or click here for the gallery!)
