From the many things Mischa Barton is and could be, one beautiful May day she chose to be a trendsetter. Which is totally fine by me. Unless her perspective on fashion is a bit clown-y.
The charming young lady was seen wearing a highly coordinated outfit while leaving France: a mariniere and skinny jeans. The mariniere is the striped tee we’re used to seeing everywhere by now, in, most often, navy and white but also black and white. This time, Mischa chose a variation of the mariniere in red and white and she paired it with a pair of tight, skinny red jeans (plus some worn out looking boots).
But neither of the above is the key element of her getup! Oh, no! A pair of bright red (coordinated with her red-ish ensemble) very large round framed glasses mark the defining accessory of Mischa Barton’s look. If you missed Oprah’s Ralph Lauren special, where she takes a tour at Ralph Lauren’s ranch guided by Ralph himself, some fragments can be found online. Because Oprah knows you may want to look at those again and again.
It’s an interesting visit, to say the least, and the place is fascinating. Scarlett Johansson By Tim Walker For W Magazine June 2011

I simply love anything Tim Walker ends up photographing. His epic images and whimsical settings set my mood on dreamy each and every time.
The following is a pictorial he shot for W Magazine June 2011 with Scarlett Johansson. And, unlike many of Scarlett’s photos, I love these ones! Her acting skills, which don’t necessarily come across as brilliant in a photo print, were obviously enhanced by the exquisite makeup artist who worked with her for the Tim Walker shoot. This is, by far, the best Scarlett Johansson I’ve ever seen! (maybe because she just doesn’t look like herself?)
Anyway, in other Scarlett Johansson news – she has rumoredly collaborated with Massive Attack for a track called Summertime, included on the original soundtrack of the movie Days of Grace. I’m puzzled. I used to love Massive. How did they come to collaborate with Scarlett? (via 1, 2)

Angelina Jolie In Black For Kung Fu Panda 2 Premiere

Angelina Jolie has some serious leg slit issues! Not only she opted for a black ensemble to premiere the Kung Fu Panda 2 movie in Los Angeles, but she also kept her trademark dramatic leg slit she seems to be enjoying so much!
With the occasion, Angelina got her usual Red Carpet black look back, proof that she’s not that different from her old self, at least not fashion – wise. She kept her accessories low, with black stiletto shoes, black wide buckle belt and diamond earrings. Ah, and Brad Pitt. Anna Dello Russo Singing And Dancing

This is hardly something to pass out on. Anna Dello Russo is a show on her own, in her natural state, so when she’s trying to put on a real show, with dancing and all, it’s even more spectacular!
I’m unsure whether this was supposed to be a tribute to Madonna (with the obviously Madonna era music), a show off of how fashgirls have fun or a way to put fashion advice on music (and dance). Either way, I have to give it to Anna: dancing in those shoes is definitely worth a video! “When you get comfortable, you never get the look!”. How far (and deep) are you willing to suffer for fashion? (via)
Mulberry’s Bow Dress As Worn By Fearne Cotton

Not long ago, I asked you how you felt about a particular wedding dress with a ton of fabric roses on the skirt of the dress. I reminded me of a gigantic cotton candy. Which is not bad, since I adore cotton candy (and who doesn’t?). But would you want to look like a gigantic cotton candy on your wedding day?
Looking back now, I’m seeing things in a completely different perspective since I just came across the Bow Dress! Roses dress – bow dress… Bow dress – roses dress. The only thing saving the Bow Dress (besides being made by the Mulberry maison) is the color! The bow dress as worn by Fearne Cotton below: (details right after the jump!)

Every now and then, we allow ourselves to get caught up in the modern music crossfire and accept that, still, music videos make fashion (and more) go round.
