Madonna’s Vionnet Red Butterflies Dress Venice W.E. Premiere Red Carpet
September 2nd, 2011 by kpriss
Today started out like one of those normal days I just go on scrolling endlessly for amazing news to share with you my lovelies! Instead, I discovered that the Venice Film Festival was already on a roll and the Red Carpet looks deserve our most fashionable attention! Let’s get to it!
My first choice for this Venice film festival Red Carpet is the always fascinating Madonna. She was pretty festive for the premiere of her movie W.E. and covered herself up in a soft blue – gray Vionnet dress with a storm of red butterflies on. I can only go as far as to describe it as looking “good”. And that’s about it. It’s hard for me to associate butterflies and Madonna – although she’s been in a perpetual state of chrysalis all her life, I always found her to be a particularly strong woman, thus nothing resembling a fragile butterfly. Could this be a hint that she’s transforming again? (will you watch her movie? I heard it’s far from good) (photos via 1, 2)
Alexa Chung Harper’s Bazaar October 2011 UK Vs. Australia
September 1st, 2011 by kpriss
Alexa Chung seems to be a very stylish girl since two fashion magazines (well, technically the same, only different countries) have her as a October 2011 cover girl! Harper’s Bazaar Australia and Harper’s Bazaar UK.
In case you’re wondering if it’s not a reprint, rest assured, these are two different pictorials, each with its photographer: Angelo Pennetta for Australia and Ellen von Unwerth for the UK HB. Whether that’s the fruit of a pure and unintentional coincidence or a simple marketing move since Alexa has just launched her new Madewell collection (check out the video after the jump), time will tell. For now I vote for the UK edition, I have a soft spot for Ellen von Unwerth. Don’t you?
Summer Rock’n Roll Wedding Inspiration Slash And Perla
September 1st, 2011 by kpriss
What is it with Rockers and Weddings this summer? Kate Moss? Sofia Coppola and now Slash wife of 10 years, Perla Hudson, they all made time for a little wedding this season!
Let’s take a look at this rock’n roll couple’s renewing vows ceremony: the bride was wearing a white unconventional dress (having seen Anja Rubik’s similarly cut wedding dress a month ago, I’m on the verge of declaring this a trend!), a long veil and the groom is more rock’n roll, although definitely on the trend side, wearing gray (so did Jamie Hince, remember?). Their two boys were there too, both wearing matching gray suits and white shirts and were given rings to seal the unity of their family (awwww).
Carine Roitfeld Said No More Cigarettes For Fashion
September 1st, 2011 by kpriss
My daaahlings, mark your calendars! Today, the first of September, 2011, is a grand day for photography and fashion. For Fashion Photography. Fashion magazines may be freed from the cigarette dictatorship!
The one and only Cigs Pictorial Queen, Carine Roitfeld has issued a statement saying that she will no longer use cigarettes again for any shoots. And that she’s sorry for having subjected us to all that photo – smoking! Isn’t that amazing? In her own words:
McQueen’s Savage Beauty Exhibit Goes Home To London
September 1st, 2011 by kpriss
There’s no telling when the exact date is, but what we know so far is that a petition has been made to bring the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty exhibition home, in London, and it was a success!
The so far Met – hosted honorary exhibition McQueen Savage Beauty will get a London show space. There are still some planning reserves – the time and the duration of the exhibit being yet unknown, however, the couture house will make the official announcements when things will get clear. I guess everyone should feel grateful for that said petition, then!

Burberry’s Body, Rosie Huntington Whiteley Undresses For Campaign Video
September 1st, 2011 by kpriss
Now let me see if I get this right: Burberry is shamelessly, unreservedly taking advantage of Rosie Huntington Whiteley’s rise to fame (from Victoria’s Secret Angel to Transformers darling) by trusting her with the Burberry Body title? Is that it?
We’ve seen the Mario Testino lenses magic earlier and now we’re graced with the video commercial for the very Burberry Body perfume. It’s all very appealing, especially for the young generation, it’s neutral and well.. let’s say that Rosie has gone a long way from modeling lingerie to modeling with no lingerie whatsoever. No underwear is the new underwear, huh?

The first images from Emporio Armani’s Underwear and Armani Jeans Fall Winter 2011 2012 Ad Campaign have surfaced. Rafael Nadal continues his collaboration with the Couture House, much to his admirers’ joy.
Enjoy it while it lasts, girls, I heard there’s another contender in town and he’s already sweeping off fashion collaborations! (yes, I’m talking about Novak Djokovic and his Audemars Piguet campaign! What say you, girls? Take a look after the jump and choose: same ol Rafa or Novak?)
