New OPI Nail Polish Collections: The Muppets, The Netherlands
November 4th, 2011 by kpriss
They say inspiration can be found anywhere! OPI‘s new Nail Polish collections have the most unexpected sources of inspiration. From winter 2011 to spring 2012, OPI has vowed to take us from Sesame Street to the Netherlands.
OPI’s Spring 2012 collection as inspired by the Netherlands (all those pretty colorful tulips – sigh!) with completely amazing names like “Vampsterdam” (deep grape shade) or “Did You Hear Van Gogh” (metallic beige) it seems like another smashing hit for OPI! (the collection hits stores February 2012.)
However, just avant the Holidays season come an UnFROGettable OPI collections as a result of OPI teaming up with Disney’s The Muppets for the theatres launch of the motion picture. Nail Polish names for the Muppets collection? Brace yourselves: “Fresh Frog of Bel Air”, “Gettin’ Miss Piggy With It!”, “Divine Swine”! One day, girls, mark my words, Imma give into that temptation of turning Stylefrizz into Nailfrizz! (wink)
Latest Bridal Wear Trends: Vera Wang Black Wedding Dresses
November 3rd, 2011 by kpriss
I don’t know about you, but I know that whenever I say Vera Wang wedding dress, I think about perfect, immaculate white wedding dresses with intricate designs and fairy princess cuts. Every time. And the recent celebrity weddings helped me shaped that image with even more accuracy. How lovely was Hilary Duff in her Vera Wang wedding gown?
However, the last celebrity wedding I remember being Vera Wang overloaded was Kim Kardashian’s. The most famous Kardashian was finally going to settle down with basketball player Kris Humphries. The wedding reception in itself, although completely lacked of imagination and finesse, based on a black and white theme, revolved around the bride: Kim Kardashian wore no less than three wedding dresses, all designed by Vera Wang! How exquisite is that?
Oscar De La Renta Is Selling Rings On Facebook. Would You Buy?
November 2nd, 2011 by kpriss
Of course, the ring thing is just an example – Oscar de la Renta has recently joined the social media bandwagon craze and they seem to be enjoying it. Although I’m browsing the internet all day every day, I had no idea about this Facebook commerce policy that was slowly taking over the world. Did you?
It appears that in their need / want to engage more with the end customer, the luxury brands (at least as far as fashion goes) have launched Facebook exclusive offers. Oscar de la Renta’s perfume was already big with me, so hearing that they had an exclusive with a catwalk ring which contained The Esprit D’Oscar solid perfume makes me feel like I’ve missed out on a great opportunity! Do you think they should do this more often? Offer exclusive sales on Facebook? (Chanel tried to do that avant the launch of the Coco Shine lipstick, Bvlgari had reportedly implemented the Facebook commerce but they suspended it after three months. Are you familiar with other similar activities going around?)

Blake Lively In Christian Louboutin’s Arms
November 2nd, 2011 by kpriss
Anyone out there still feeling skeptical at the thought of Blake Lively being the new Hollywood darling adored by fashion and press? If so, the following is for you! If you’re already convinced that Blake is the new it girl, the new muse of designers and editors, here’s a gorgeous pair of snakeskin Christian Louboutin stilettos as worn by Blake Lively!
At a recent Christian Louboutin cocktail event at Barney’s New York, Blake Lively was carried out by Monsieur Louboutin himself. Notice the exquisitely gorgeous pair of Christian Louboutin snakeskin stilletos, the dubious red leather coat and the even stranger Dolce & Gabbana cocktail attire worn by Blake. I think she was underdressing in purpose to highlight the shoes more!
Kate Moss New Perfume For Younger Audience, LilaBelle
November 2nd, 2011 by kpriss
Do you know anything about Kate Moss’s new perfume release? I came across it by accident and it intrigued me since I was used to the over media exposed Moss merchandise and this one took me by surprise. A Kate Moss product that hasn’t been pushed right in your face? That’s unheard of! Here it goes:
Kate Moss LilaBelle perfume addresses the younger audience (hint – Lila Grace is the name of Kate Moss’s 9yo daughter?). With top notes of mandarin and freesia, middle notes of jasmine and frangipani on a base of sandalwood and musk, the scent comes across as fresh and sensual (?). It’s not yet confirmed that the print campaign actually looks like this, however, I was thinking about a more playful look since it targets a younger audience? Didn’t you? (in the mean time, check out Kate having fun in the Jamaican sun with her daughter after the jump – she’s turning into a fine young lady, lil’ Lila Grace!)
Bracelets Must: Stack’Em
November 1st, 2011 by kpriss
After causing a jewelry stir with those indie friendly friendship bracelets, the jewelry must remains the same: stack’em up, ladies!
Chunky, blingy, golden, silver, you name it! All you have to do is wear one bracelet next to another from your wrist to your elbow, just like in the picture below! Make sure you wear the appropriate sleeve length so your stacked bling beauties can steal the show! (are you feeling this jewelry stack? The picture was taken by Darren S Feist and published in Marie Claire, the UK edition with Sarah Jessica Parker on the cover. Brenda Costa is the fierce model styled by Lucia Debieux, with makeup by Lee Pycroft and hair by Tim Crespin)
Scarlett Johansson’s Vanity Fair December 2011
November 1st, 2011 by kpriss
Scarlett Johansson redhaired. That’s something you don’t see everyday! But when shooting a magazine pictorial falls in the middle of shooting a movie (The Avengers) with a redheaded character, we’re the spoiled ones! Because, praised be the FashLord, Scarlett is not pulling a Marilyn on Vanity Fair December 2011 cover!
The cover is beautiful, but wait till you have the first taste of the inside pictorial! It’s magical! Mario Sorrenti really knows how to push the right buttons to summon the fairies into what could be a normal, simple picture. I’m seeing fairy dust all over these, don’t you – hit the jump to marvel yourself at the beauty that this Vanity Fair issue is! (oh, and she’s even talking about her divorce and more – you can read fragments from her interview here)
