Helena Christensen’s Home
November 21st, 2011 by kpriss
Talking about Helena Christensen a while back and her wonderful work (and lots of fun, I’m sure) she had done in the Duran Duran video reminded me of something I was waiting to share for a while already: Helena Christensen’s home!
You know I love the backstages of fashion and what better behind the scenes than some very respectable fashperson’s home? It’s their very foundation, the key to the “real person” outside the fashcraze! And Helena Christensen has this amazingly eclectic apartment filled with treasures and little pieces of history (which she hunted intensively through the world’s thrift shops). What may surprise you to find out is that Helena considers the food to be essential and so she installed the kitchen at the very core of her home, bonus the generous dinner table for all the guests! Dare To Wear The Cupcake Eyelashes Jewelry?
November 21st, 2011 by kpriss
As time went by and I ventured even deeper into fashion’s daring paths, I asked myself (and you) over and over if you were feeling this and that, and, most of all, if you were daring enough to wear some pretty courageous accessories.
Some were funny, some were not. In the funny category hereby The Cupcakes Eyelash Jewelry! It’s funny enough to be worn as it is, to compliment a playful look, or part of a Lolita getup. Just glue them on, and you’ll add a complete new meaning to “sweet eyes”. Do hit the jump, more eyelash amazingness awaits (plus a video that’ll show you how it’s done)

Michelle Williams Is Desperately Fragile For Elle UK December 2011
November 20th, 2011 by kpriss
You know, I’m perfectly willing to accept that I’m the only one seeing this. Which would normally worry me and bring me into a “I’m not imagining things” denial stage. However, a while back I was saying something about Cheryl Cole having a sad, long face on the cover of InStyle, remember?. Now I turn my head and I pop into lovely Michelle Williams on the cover of Elle UK, December 2011 looking all fragile and puppy – eye – begging for you to pick her up and hug her!
What’s wrong with all these needy December 2011 covers? Why can’t we just smile and get ready to party? Blue is the new happy? Vulnerable is the new glam?
MAC Viva Glam Nicki Minaj And Ricky Martin 2012 Ad Campaign
November 20th, 2011 by kpriss
This is one of those hard to believe collaboration which would either make or break your day! I choose the first option – this new M.A.C. Viva Glam 2012 ad campaign made my day!
Because it’s flamboyant enough to make you want to take (at least) a look at it. Because, naturally, it’s M.A.C. so it must be good, duh! And … well, it’s fun, you know? Like in crazy fun. Unlike Mac’s previous Viva Glam with Lady Gaga (who could be tons of fun if she didn’t want to be taken so seriously) and Cindy Lauper, seeing Ricky Martin with that gloss up in the air near a teal and sparkling red motorcycle is just about where my motorcycle reality feeling implodes (I just told you I really enjoy watching SoA). So how about you? Does this make or break your day? (what’s up with the teal finger, btw?)
Jessica Biel’s Elle December 2011
November 20th, 2011 by kpriss
Usually, a high profile celebrity only gets a high profile fashion magazine cover if there’s a movie involved. Is Jessica Biel promoting a new film? Or is she here just to talk about her personal life (and her recently getting back on with Justin)?
Regardless of the motivation behind this Carter Smith photo shoot for the December 2011 issue of Elle magazine, I’m enjoying it! I’m actually enjoying it more than I expected I would, given that it’s Jessica Biel and she usually fails to impress me. The pictorial is a Sons of Anarchy inspired setting, with motorcycles and bikers, Jessica herself wearing leathery clothing pieces and accessories styled to adhere the biking allure.
To my great surprise, the styling fits Jessica like a glove and she pulls the biker chic look and attitude greatly (you can convince yourselves after the jump; click here for the gallery)! I think this a better arrangement for Jess than any old glam approaches she had over the years. Which Jess you like more? Contemporary, biker, old glam?
Be The Star Of The Night With This Retro Glam Outfit!
November 20th, 2011 by kpriss
Have I told you how much I love Free People? The name of the brand in itself is a celebration! And talking about celebrations: I just found one of the cutest, most wearable party outfits lately!
And yes, it comes from the Free People! It involves an impossibly cute, rocking ruffled mesh skirt, a waist length leather jacket, some to – die – for leggings and some of the cutest mary jane platforms around with crocheted detailing (wait, did I just said cute twice in the same phrase? Pardon me, but this is too cute to call it otherwise! Isn’t it?) All I can think of whenever I look at this outfit, is “Dace, baby, dance!”. How about you? What’s the first thing this getup makes you think of?
Sisters In Fashion: The Olsens And The Fannings
November 20th, 2011 by kpriss
This month, it’s all about the family, as I’m about to prove you further along the road. Both Vogue and W magazine decided to bring on some seriously fashionable and trendy sisters for their covers.
Elle and Dakota Fanning do W magazine December 2011 while Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen cover Vogue’s best dressed special issue. Except for me not getting all the hype around the Olsen sisters, if I’ll had to choose, I’ll most definitely go for the W sister act. Dakota and Elle are lovely and I’m sure they’ll grow up to be amazing actresses (not that they wouldn’t already be sans the “grow up” part!) and I always get the impression Mary Kate Olsen is pushing too far, too hard. At least the Fanning sisters don’t go out of their skin to be fashionable. Normal people are fabulous people!

Meet Lottie, Charlotte Moss, Kate Moss’s Sister!
November 19th, 2011 by kpriss
Meet Charlotte “Lottie” Moss! Kate Moss’s (half) sister! She’s looking pretty as her famous sister, it would appear they’re born with an extra beauty gene in that family!
Either way, Lottie may enter the modeling world any time now, so we may just as well get used to seeing two Moss girls around. Until that day arrives, when some magazine will do a sister act pictorial, let’s wish Lottie the best of luck in this fashenterprise! (Charlotte Moss is 13yo right now! Could you tell by looking at her pictures? check out the gallery here)
