Minimalist Style: Micro Cabin In The Woods

Every now and then, I get to spoil myself by writing a piece about an Art – Deco subject: today it’s one of those days! I found this amazing micro cabin I just had to share: it’s really one of those curious designs but all – too – practical and inspiring.

Nido” is a 96 square feet cabin built by Robin Falck with $10,500 plus man hours (and this calculation comes from Robin Falck himself). The space within is unbelievable – 50 square feet bedroom & living room (in which you’ll find a bed, clothing storage, table, couch and armchairs bonus an acoustic system too!) Not to mention the deck recreational space with is just as mind spinning as everything else! My dahlings, this is it! Simple living at its finest! (check out the gallery here!)

Noomi Rapace Is Prometheus Ready In Dazed And Confused June 2012

I have to confess my movie – crush on Noomi Rapace. I think she’s amazing! Her passion and character interpretation go to the point where you nearly identify her with the role she’s playing. I can never look at Lisbeth Salander and see someone else other than Noomi.

But, as she said, after being Lisbeth for a year and a half, Noomi had enough of her character and just wanted to get out of her skin. Totally understandable. After starring in Sherlock Holmes, Noomi Rapace is heading for our big screens (and movie loving hearts) once more, with Prometheus. That’s why we’re graced with this amazing pictorial by Solve Sundsbo in Dazed and Confused, June 2012.(hit the jump for more, click here for the gallery!)

Cannes 2012 Red Carpet: Diane Kruger’s Pale Aqua Giambattista Valli Dress

So Cannes 2012 is already at its second day! Its Red Carpet makes for one of the most glamorous Celebrity Fashion reports and, as such, I’m bringing you the dress that impressed me the most in the Cannes 2012 Opening Night.

Diane Kruger’s custom pale aqua Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress was all kinds of fairy – tale-ish. The cape fluttered in the wind creating this surreal vision of style worn gracefully by flawless Diane in front of the photographers’ cascading enthusiasm.

Right after the jump (click here for the gallery), you’ll also see images of the amazing Jane Fonda wearing a shimmery rose Atelier Versace body hugging sequined dress; Tilda Swinton glowing in bronze Haider Ackermann dress, Berenice Bejo flawlessly presenting on the Cannes scene in a red Louis Vuitton dress; Freida Pinto courageously showing some leg in Michael Angel dress; the always adorable Eva Longoria wearing a very embellished Marchesa mermaid dress and Eva Herzigova paying a very thin homage to Marilyn Monroe in a sparkling Dolce & Gabbana dress and Chopard jewelry.

Stripes Gone Bad Heidi Klum’s Pajama Disaster

You know I love stripes. And you also know that wearing pajama – like pants is big this year. Heidi Klum, who is considered one of the most stylish personalities in today’s fashion world, decided to put the two together and showed up wearing a strange striped pajama outfit mix which I can only file under Fashion Disaster for now. Would you pin it elsewhere? {DM}

Kate Moss For Harper’s Bazaar June July 2012

As much as I’m going against my beliefs for covering something made by Uncle Terry, I’m trying hard to educate this feeling and be less subjective on the matter. So: Kate Moss photographed by Terry Richardson for Harper’s Bazaar June July 2012.

Although it has an odd Pirelli – like vibe (Terry Richardson did a calendar for Pirelli, in 2010; Kate Moss was in this year’s Pirelli calendar, this year, however, photographed by Mario Sorrenti), I have to celebrate something really important: Harper’s Bazaar dragged Uncle Terry out of the promiscuous comfort of his studio out in the wild, wild nature. Where Kate Moss makes pretty much the same faces and poses in pretty much the same positions. (don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself in the gallery, here)
