Penelope Cruz To Rome With Love W Magazine Cover

As W magazine seems to follow the same pattern of soon – to – be – released movies main characters to double as their cover stories, I’m left amazed and really charmed by Penelope Cruz beautiful, freckled photo on the cover of W September 2012.

Mert and Marcus, who were really busy this year with all the important September covers (Gaga’s US Vogue, Kate, Daria and Lara for Vogue Paris) did an outstanding job with Penelope. The styling, carried on excellently by Edward Enninful compliments the interview / cover story about the on – screen brilliance of Penelope. Her soon to be released (on the big screen) movie, Twice Born, sounds like a heavy weight drama. But her latest movie, To Rome With Love, is a classic Woody Allen and I honestly can’t wait to see it!

We discussed the British Fashion moment from the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony, how about the Spice Girls reunion moment? My main focus, I admit, was on Victoria Beckham. And she did well. (wink) I was honestly expecting for her to wear her own design. But she didn’t! She was wearing a black, strapless dress from Giles Deacon’s Giles Fall 2012 collection. With shorter skirt (front). She was clearly the most fashionable of all Spices. Wasn’t she? {Vogue, Style}

The Supermodels who walked the Olympic Stadium catwalk for the Closing Ceremonies of the 2012 London Olympics received so many hateful remarks, it’s hard to understand what’s the world’s take on fashion!

In short: some of the world’s most acclaimed supermodels come from the United Kingdom. As such, for the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony, the GB has put together an impressive show (and I thought the Opening Ceremony was breathtaking!) where they invited so many great musicians hailing from the UK! They made it all so modern, so young! I really loved their approach both of the opening and the closing show!

British fashion plays an impressive part in the global fashion industry and it was really nice to see some real fashion, not the leotard kind at the Olympics! So: great British designers were given a super model for a muse, one that’ll be wearing a representative design from their collections at the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony! Awww! How lovely is that? Jennifer Aniston is engaged to Justin Theroux! Although last week, nasty rumors were talking about the two lovebirds having separated their ways, the big announcement (coincidentally) comes in a moment when everybody was watching the Brangelina French Castle for wedding movement! Call me paranoid, but announcing your engagement the same day when everybody had their eyes set on you ex’s supposed wedding is pretty blatant. I’m sure they’ll set the same day for both weddings! {People, NYDailyNews}

While every bride – to be dreams of long hair for her big day, Miley Cyrus, who is currently engaged to be married with her longtime boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, is swimming against the flow. Miley just took the Twitter way to let everybody know that she cut her hair short. Really short!

I know that her pretty face can take any haircut, long or short, and that she can have extensions to make that wedding long hair reality, but… Miley Cyrus’s new short haircut is… (you finish that sentence, I fear I may be getting to harsh! Oh, and just in case you want to get a similar cut, you should fix an appointment with Chris McMillan, Miley’s hairstylist responsible for this hairmess… ahem haircut. While her ex – husband, British comedian Russel Brand gets very vocal about their unhappy marriage, Katy Perry lights her love fire with John Mayer. The two have been seen together on numerous occasions, each time, their reps have had something to say to justify their meetings and deny that John Mayer’s new girlfriend is Katy Perry; most recently, Katy Perry and John Mayer took Chateau Marmont late night dinner to discuss song collaboration! Yeah, right!

I won’t let you fall behind with the news on Family & such, especially when we’re talking about our beloved famous ones! Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith have been one of my favorite (celeb) couple out there. They look beautiful together, always loving, they have gorgeous, talented kids, what’s there not to like about them? (now Jada is getting so involved in her initiative against human trafficking that she’s even starring in a video campaign, see it after the jump!)

Ah, yes! I know what’s not to like – people saying that Jada and Will are getting divorced. Which (attention!) they’re not! Jada Pinkett Smith is looking amazingly beautiful (can you believe that woman is 40? And that Will Smith is 44? I bet they found the Fountain of Youth!) on the cover of Essence’s September 2012 issue. There she clearly stated that although her divorce is a nasty rumor that keeps coming back every two years:

“We’re not getting a divorce. […] That’s my boo. It’s like he’s another part of me.”

A week has passed, it’s time for our Robsten update! Not much has happened since our last post, only rumors this time saying that after drunkdialing Kristen, Robert Pattinson is now contemplating a quiet reconciliation. In the mean time, Kristen was seen partying with Lindsay Lohan (well, technically they were invited at the same party) while Liberty Ross (wife of Rupert, the cheater) is said to have hired a divorce lawyer and moving back to the UK.{VH1, ExtraTV, Metro}
